Was there a reason for removing it?

So basically I just rejoined the game after not playing it for a long while and there has been something nagging me for days now. Did crew skills used to have flavor text upon completeing them? My memory may be making stuff up, but I remember that if your companion did the quest "perfectly"?, you know was given extra rewards, then there would be a short flavor text about how they completed the mission. Am I insane? Thanks for the replies.

I know the Empire loses in the end, you know, "15,000 year old Republic", is still around some 3000 years latter, but I think it would be awesome if the Empire actually wins the war(takes Coruscant and the core worlds), but ends up losing like 60 years latter from an ongoing Rebellion that manages to destroy BOTH the Death Star AND the Emperor....they have to do both.
