  1. well i agree on that one but atleast we should be happy that the game is still around and not thrown away for some cheap mobile game that turns in 100times the profit:D
  2. I only thought operatives arent OP after i played them. Yes they are very annoying and the main reason they are annoying is because of bad servers/netcoide/connection. But lets be honest when he rolls he cant do dmg. There are other classes that have 100% dmg mitgation while they can still **** on you. And i would argue that the dmg overall isnt that great compared to other classes. And whats the problem with a operative countering 3 ppl to cap? you should have capped sooner or killed him first. usally ppl just stand around trying to cap expecting one little stun beein enough:D I would see the argument in hutball where you cant even counter him because the server doesnt upload the position properly after a roll. But preventing from capping 3 ppl is normal. It still ads up to quite a big difference someone who has a rly good gear setup will be way better off than someone who just slaps a set together and deosnt car about much. And in my opinion the gear difference should be max 5%. And between optimized and basic 306 gear its far mor than that. (probably around 20-30% which is rediculous) and if you go in with lower than 306 gear youre completly uselss yes gear is easy to obtain it took me 2 days after i came back to figure out how the gearing system works and get to 306 gear but i had to do pve for that and even with basic 306 gear pvp isnt much fun. you atleast need some set or atleast modded gear i see an argument for gearing in ranked since its the "pinnacle":D but 8mans should focus more on the pvp and teamplay aspect and best gear should be a tiny advantage
  3. well if the other 3 players have **** gear otherwise i highly doubt that lets be honest if the minigame has players with low rated gear every class trashes them otherwise i would say operatives are one of the less powerful classes they are just insanely annoying and if you play one and roll around like a ******** you get ignored usually which is nice:D on top of it the servers/netcode is the bigger problem not updating a roll propelry for example and again i cant stress enough the gear problem in pvp - makes a lot of players look way more powerful than they actually are

I definately think that:D I think gameply becomes even more rock paper scissors which isnt good in my opinion. but i dont complain about endgame pvp if everyone has a broken tactical it balances itself out somewhat, im talking clearly about mid pvp i agree but at the end that was also the charm of mid pvp using less abilities more effieciently but with the tacticals i dont see anyone below lvl 75 having even a chance or able to put up a fight but yeah why do i even complain bioware will do nothing:D
  5. after coming back to the game i went to endgame pvp again and its even worse then before the madness of certain abilities, tacticals and set bonuses worries me that after the patch all that cancer wil spread to the save haven that is mid pvp (low pvp will allways be safe but sadly not many ppl play basically vanilla pvp) i mean after every patch that raises the char level mid pvp becomes basically unplayeable for atleast few days but now with all the new stuff i fear for the future:D does anybody know if bioware plans to deactivate tacticals and set bonusses or are they going to do nothing like they allways do:D
  6. yeah i read about the strange new gearing where you get slightly higher stuff then youre rating but gearing was allways questionable;D so for pvp bolstzer it doesnt rly matter if i go in with 270 or 276 gear (or smtg else) so i can just basically slap some lvl 75 armor and forget about it`?
  7. i recently came back to the game and since gear and bolster is the buggiest mess in this game (in my experience) i wanna ask just to make sure which gear works best in normnal pvp can i go in with my old lvl 70 gear or is it like in the past where for example green gear of a specific rating works best i assume main hand is still not beeing bolstered? and since im basically only playing pvp is there a good way to get specific tacticals what i have read so far is you have to grind and hope:D thx

  9. In 8 man wz they are one of the best (in my opinion the most fun class) Solo ranked they are the worst if its 4dps vs 4dps. If youre lucky and you have a heal in the team and maybe a tank its quite a good class:D
  10. you can loose that much in 1 game? thats kinda ****ed up wouldnt it be better if you would get a set amount of points for a lost game but if youre low rank you get more points for a win and with high rank you get less points for a win. so that you need to win more then you loose in order to maintain youre rank but that a couple of losses dont completely ruin youre rank. I dont play much ranked but i think it would be aslo good to gain points (or atleast dont loose that much) for a close game if you win 1 round for example. I cant say that for sure but i allways lost the same amount no matter what happened in the game.
  11. ok i think i can kinda confirm that this must be some sort of bug. I leveled my old mara who has a complete 208 set to 70 and played a few rounds. There seems nothing suspicious about the stats and sadly i dont have a 252/258 weapon on this server to test with but with the green 232 weapon from the ossus starter set i did fairly well and out of my experience what i played before if you play with such a low weapon youre damage should be absolute dog****. But with the old 208 set and no real stat optimization i did about as much dmg as my other mara who has 230 gear 252 weapon and where i optimized a little bit the stats with augmentations. To be 100% sure whats wrong and if theres rly something wrong at all with the 208 set i should try to get a 252 weapon and do further tests for the sake of science:D But over all it feels rly strange
  12. Do you use also 208 weapons? But its interesting to know ill test that out myself maybe. I have a few chars with 208 sets on a rather dead server. But if its true it begins to smell like a bug ^^ (EDIT but you played 70pvp right? Mid PvP 5-6k dps is very normal)
  13. i dont doubt that in the slightest but at the end swtor doesnt have that much to do with skill (i know that skill still makes a big difference but by far not that much compared to other games) - its just button pressing at the end. Either you press the abbility or you dont - if you hit or miss is depends only on stats/abbilities. Maybe the title is a bit misleading - im just very interested how he does that because i have no imagination how gear affects the damage over all. I just thought that Gear stats mean alot, which in my experinece was allways the case. But i just like to know which stats do that much for dps. If i go with 230 gear and 228 augmentations (252 weapon) into pvp i have both standart breakpoints of 1800smtg alacrity and crit - thats my understanding of gear stats atm:D But no matter how good i play i will allways lack a big chunk of dps in comparison to when i play with better gear. Its easy to spot when someone simply plays better than you but its hard to understand if someone does just rather normal stuff and has 500 or 1000 dps more did they stand still all the time?^^ maybe he was even a bloodbath (is that how its called in english) mara thats the only class where i can see big dps if everything goes well. Maybe that why he didnt felt like 5k dps when i kited him around the map:D
  14. Well yeah the main hand is by far the biggest factor. For example a 230 weapon in pvp and you do nearly no damage no matter what you try:D Anyway ill test that at some point putting 236/240 augmentations in ****** gear:D maybe that is also a factor. But i personally feel that especially 258 gear makes a huge difference our team got kinda stomped in the ground but still 5k+ single target only is kinda hard to pull off in an 8man wz. I nearly never see that.
  15. ofc you get bolstered but that this dmg output is possible with a 225 Gear Rating is completly new to me i mean i play a few chars in pvp with 230 gear (which is to my knowledge the standart for bolster) but 5k dps single target would be completely impossible for me. i have not much idea of how gear works but i know that better gear gives you a huge advantage. thats why im so suprised about these numbers Or is there some rating that bolster you better than 230 i mean guessing he uses a 258 weapon he must have used 210 mods or smtg like that
  16. It might be a little off topic but did you know that you can bind multiple abbilities to one key? (you can switch with a keybind between for example bar 1 and 2, then they share the same keybinds)
  17. I saw a Mara/Senti today in the Warzone who had 225 Gear Rating but also managed to do 5,2k dps single target (in a 8man wz). Its already pretty rare to see someone going 5k+ in single target but with that Gear Rating i cant explain it. Is that some sort of Bug where it doesnt show the correect gear or are they using some sort of Exploit?

  19. Hey, i heard from some people that Alacrity is very usefull no matter what. even for melee classes without casttimes. But for me thats hard to imagine. Even if i go for a high breakpoint of 1860+ alacrity for the 1,3s global cooldown (is it still this way?) That would be just 1 attack more in roughly 15 sec (and since you dont do all the time attacks (getting stunned...) i think its even less. So why are so many people going for high Alacrity? And what about crit? I read that 1796 is the max crit before mastery gets more usefull for dmg. (is that still the case) and what about classes that haave higher critt from th start like a rage jugger? And is attack power better or worse than crit? Hope i can get some understanding how the stats work.
  20. So can you turn that off? Well that was the same for me, but as soon as you kinda get where what is its not that bad. I mean im still clueless about most PvE stuf especialy Operations. But WB is just grouping up and doing smtg while you try not to look at the mess of effects^^ And nobody gives a **** about gear at a WB - maybe it depends on the server but i never had any problems joining a group for the 2 WB kills
  21. What do you mean by that? You just ahve to join a group, close the eyes for the fight to avoid eye cancer while the ****** engine cant handle all the effects and youre good to go:D Dont get me wrong i would prefer gearing through pvp but knowing how grindy that was sometimes ill take a fast way to easy effective gear all the time:D Is that even 2hours? i didnt watch the clock when i did it with my fresh jugger but im pretty sure i didnt even need 1 hour for Story and killing 2 WB (to be fair i went right from the story to the wb if you ahve to wait it might take longer)

Ok after a little bit of testing i found out that Bolster is pretty much useless:D What i didnt knew before is that the weapons arent in the bolster (but is responsible for most of the dmg) (which explains why a lot of ppl do kinda ****** dps) Luckily the 252 weapon is easy to get but without the weapon i wouldnt bother going in pvp, but judging from the dps of a lot of people it seems a lot still dont have a 252 weapon. But what suprised me that the old level 65 (210) mods are pretty decent in the Bolster and often better then higher gear (with exception of 230) but overall the Bolster is too weak. 252 gear gives a rly big stat boost and i guess that a full 252/258 char has a significant advantage. At the Moment the dmg drop is very noticeable. I played yesterday my fresh lvl 70 jugger with 252 weapon and 210 gear (and one game with a few 230 pieces) and i do around 3,5-3,8k dps (which was top of the scoreboard but still very ****** dps). In a compareable Situation in Mid PvP i would have done easeally 5k+ dps. But the positive Site is since everybody does ****** dps i dont die:D I think since I kinda undestand the garing 70 pvp isnt as bad as before but still way too slow
  23. Do i rlly get bolstered to 252? And at which point? Cause if i have lets say the green ossus starter set with 232 i have way lower stats than with my purple peaces from the weekly quest (248) But well Low/Mid Pvp is plenty of fun. Maybe ranked would be Interesting but knowing from my experience with swtor few years back it probably takes ages to pop sometimes:D
  24. So after i came back i played a few lvl 70 matches and didnt rly had fun at all. It just felt weird, especially in comparison to low/mid pvp. It is just rediculous that some players dont do damage at all and some come with maxed out gear and destroy everything. Noone understands that Bolster thing - if i look into the gear of my fellow players (me included) And i Think the Gear is the biggest Problem. In my Opinion there shouldnt be any requirments for Bolster at all. If you join a Wz you should get a Certain stat maybe 5-10% under the best Gear possible. As it is now. PvP is extremely unbalanced at lvl 70 and extremely boring, especially since the Heal gets somehow calculated different then the damage. My Merc does propably more than double the healing than what i do as dps. That just seems not right, especially since it isnt that way in low/mid pvp. For Example with the green Ossus gear (232) i did maybe max 20k crits with my merc - with the Ossus quest weapon (252) i got already + 500 primary damage and atleast it felt a little like im doing something. But since i figured out that the whole gear situation is broken af i just switched to heal and now i feel kinda op - cause most people cant even do dps (even if they want:D) either bring back PvP gear or makre Bolster better and easier
  25. Hey there, i came recently back to the game after a few years and have a lot of Questions. How strong is the gear gap and is there still an easy way to get bolster from crap gear (with decent stats)? - I just played 1 PvP Game at level 70 with a char with some old lvl 65 Gear and i obviously didnt get bolstered. Are Healers still as OP and is Endgame PvP still as much of a Zerg as before? - When i read about some of the later abilities and feats its hard to believe that some classes can die especially with a healer and since i only played 1 lvl 70 pvp Game id like to hear the experience how lvl 70 pvp is. I mean back in the days 8 vs 8 pvp was pretty much pointless when both teams had 1-2 healers and now that the Chars became even more stronger i fear its the same **** just worse. Is there some sort of Guide what equipement/stats to use for pvp? I have no idea how all the stats effect the char. And finally is there a Server where low level pvp isnt dead? I allways liked low level pvp - put in every slot some sort of gear and youre ready to go^^ Greetings
