  1. Anyone know if they are any sets already in the game that have a comparable armor rating to these new ones?
  2. I relent. I am excited to check it out in full rez. They could have just loosely basing it off of actual Sith in the time-line. They may have been going for orbalisk armor, like Bane's. But seriously, that kind of armor is for tanks. Makes me so sad. And having to re-attain all of the new gear after a lot of people grind for ages to get full Battlemaster gear. It's just not right.
  3. Forgive me Bioware, I love the game, but I have to get this off of my chest before I can feel right about playing tomorrow. This looks like WoW just ran through a burning building! Specifically the Inquisitors! You don't see Darth Nihilus or Talon running around with moss growing out of their heads! What were you thinking?! This is how STAR WARS Sith look! No one wants to look like the Swampthing got ran over! If the gear wasn't moddable (or mods able to be removed and put in STAR WARS-looking gear than I would be done). Half of the fun of ANY game is looking awesome, especially on an RP server. Any self-respecting Sith would finish burning those scraps! This kind of design process should be reviewed and approved by a small panel of BOTH SW canon experts AND fashionistas. What would Dooku say if he had to wear that to be any good against others? Please don't lose sight of what you are making and the universe there-in; also it's obsessively detail-oriented fan-base. And the Agents look like Jeeps.
  4. My main issue I guess was the immense cost (for most people) for an added 2.6 Mph boost in speed and an added "coolness factor" with better looking speeders. I don't want to cause an arguement. Thanks for your input I agree, it's a Sci-Fi MMO, thus inherently unrealistic. Also most poeple couldn't control a speeder accurately at faster speeds, but it would be nice to have a "higher gear" for long distances, and the 26Mph in smaller places. Also if people went 0 to 70 in no time flat, world PvP would be awfully hard, and it would, admittedly, make the maps feel much smaller. Anyone for Beast Mounts? Taun Tauns, Banthas, Dewbacks, Rontos, etc.
  5. Ok I realized last night while travelling around Voss that Speeders, realistically speaking, are awful! I currently have a Aratech Dagger which is "100% faster" than running with Sprint on (or off, not sure there). Anyway supposing for balance sake that all races in TOR "Sprint" at the same speed as a Human, then running without sprint, generally speaking, is about 10 Mph; with Sprint on it's about 13 Mph which is about maximum speed a human can run. So here's the math on the Speeder skill levels: LVL1: 13Mph x 180% = 23.4.........(or + 90%for 40k"7) LVL2: 13Mph x 200% = 26Mph......(or + 100% for 210k"7) LVL3: 13Mph x 220% = 28.6Mph...(or + 110% probably way too much) Thus lvl 2 speeders only travel about 26 Mph. That's great speed if they were animals of some sort (as in WoW), but in the movies I know those speeders were going at least 70+ Mph. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, guys. In conclusion, I am thankful for the speeders, don't get me wrong, but what the heck, credit syncs much? We need more speed, or less for the abilities please 2.6 Mph isn't a lot for 210k"7 + speeder costs. Hopefully they'll put in "Air Speeders" (or "flying mounts") that go faster q_Q Is it worth it to you?
  6. The worst things about the TOR-verse are the ungrateful crowd who love to wine about the smallest issues in the greatest game ever. That's just my humble opinion, but no one wants to hear you gripe. I've never had more fun with any game, and it came out at a great time for marketing. If you were a business owner or CEO you would most certainly want to release at Christmas as opposed to Easter or Mothers' Day times of year. They made many people's Christmases very happy Try to "look forward to the awesome content coming soon" instead of bashing something that is already amazing! -DS
