  1. I think a big problem is the very few naysayers on here are the most vocal of the player group. SW:ToR is actually a lot of fun, has a ton of uniqueness to it, and has a lot of replayability baked into the content with very little repetition in the mix. The problem is that the whiny-boo-boos spend most of their day trolling various forums and complaining, while the happy successful players are busy in game. I just hope people can see the overwhelming positivity in the game before they decide to judge what a small, isolated group of sourpants sally's are bbqqing about.
  2. You've won me over. I wholeheartedly believe that the sole reason we ever saw a numbers drop was specifically because this game should've launched with 1.3 content, and not any early. This game is in a perfect state of infancy, and I sincerely hope to see your numbers climb back up to where they should be over time. After switching to Droogas, I immediately got picked up into a guild, did a premade HM, then a couple pugs, finished off my dailies, and am content for the day. Looking forward to a continuing subscription. And will definately pay for the 'expansion' you're planning to drop, hopefully it'll help recoup some losses so we can keep the ball rolling, guys.
  3. 8 people on Belsavis during my dailies, MAster Gnost-Dural server. 3 people on Ilum. Its 6:25 Pacific time right now, and yesterday at 8 PM there was 17 people in fleet republic side. I unsubbed about 17 days ago, still have a couple days left. I guess I'm just done with MMOs for now, gotta find some other gaming outlet to waste what little free time I have that isn't at work, with the girl, or doing some pertinent task. Good gaming guys, bye.
  4. OH HEY WHAT IS THAT OVER THERE?! IS IT- Oh no it's just another random bump.
  5. Daily. Day-lee DAY-lee Daily: A repeatable quest which is able to be completed each day, often offering an exchangeable token or large sum of in game currency. DAY-LEE: A repeatable quest which is able to be completed each day, often offering an exchangeable token or large sum of in game currency. It's not called a "5 minutely" "15 minutely" "Complete across entire account in around 10 minutesly" Its called a Daily Daily: A repeatable quest which is able to be completed each day, often offering an exchangeable token or large sum of in game currency.
  6. Because it looks like everyone else is about to make serious bank crafting Augments / Orange loot / Sexiibby Crystals and Biochem has absolutely nothing but level 49 Implants which go out of season faster than all of my T-shirts combined. Sincerly, Sandwich. EDIT: Yeah, we also have El-crapo less than useful Stims / Medpacks but you can just vendor upgrade that loot for something more shibby.
  7. Go on any high population server and try to get the name Sandwich. Believe it or not, Sandwichman, Or Sandwich, legacy name Man in SWTOR is important to me. It's a name I got in high school, and its a title I've carried with me for 7 years. The name Sandwich is synonymous with me in real life. When I first started Rift at launch, I had to try 3 different servers because I couldn't be Sandwich. So no, I can't add Burger, Cheese'n'ham or whatever else. Those words aren't as important to me individually as Sandwich. Especially for my main, my tank, my trooper. And I know other people want to be Sandwich too, but look. They may be a Sandwich. But they aren't the Sandwich man, man. So when I rolled SWToR, I knew I had to be swift. First server, name was taken, and I'd taken my time to be a pretty boy, feeling bummed I flip over to this next server, pop in the name, random once, big fat black dude. Didn't work for me, hit random again, get this OK looking medium sized white dude. That'll have to do. Well I've levelled exactly 49 times + some legacy change as this unfathomably ugly trooper. I've pretty well self inserted myself into the limited choice making I get to make, and that was awesome. But I'm fairly attractive as a person, and so when I see some cyber chick hitting on my troll looking motherf* I can't help but say "Does she like me, or is she in it for my loot?" I'm no RPer, but lets be honest, I'm not working with no gold digger. And yeah, I get it Elara, I'm the reason you're respected, I've saved your life more times than I've mercilessly shot down sith lords, but jeez lady, stop telling me you love me. But what is up with your face? And why are you so annoying? Anyway, to your point. You're one of those people, and don't bother denying it, that thinks "Because I like it, its RIGHT!" You know who else thinks like that? Dictators. You know whose parodying dictators? Sacha Baron Cohen. Dude, don't get parodied by Sacha Baron Cohen. Be a bro, support the movement. /fistbump
  8. So on my server, my Trooper's name is Sandwich. While the nickname sticks with me in real life, it's fairly popular and I joined during the massive population boom so I rushed to complete my character. I'm super happy with the name, my legacy name, my class and my in game choices, but my Character is ugly as hell. I was hoping for cosmetic upgrades that'd be available thru the legacy system so you'd kinda get this massive outcry of "NEW STUFF MUST ADD TO MY MAIN" so I could quietly just ride the storm of facial reconstruction, but alas, nothing has been announced. So I'd really like to put in a request to allow me a one time redo of my character customization so I can look like a pretty man-ham. Please
  9. This game is so stupidly fun to me, but I've lost almost everyone on my server, and I've already got 2 50s set up cause I wasn't expecting my server to you know, die. As is, I have no one to PvP with, no one to PvE with, I don't even have people to chat with. The biggest guild on my server cleared content and called it quits. /tear I wish this game wasn't rushed out by EA, 1.2 would've cemented your player base. I'm not going to be logging on anymore, but I won't be cancelling my sub, its only 15$ and really Bioware, you deserve the money. I just wish more people could see that.
  10. As the Title says, I've spent 45 mins looking through Google, Bing and the forums for the answer but absolutely CANNOT find an answer! I want the Item that fits into the slot "PARTS" and am NOT using a general term for Droid Gear. I mean, and very specifically "Where do I use Commendations OR Credits to purchase, FROM A VENDOR, Orange / Moddable droid PARTS, as in the Item that fits into the PARTS slot?" Please help me, oh knowledgeable and mighty community.
  11. I'm talking a single House for all your characters on that server, not a ship! Alderaan seems pretty nice.
  12. Ignoble bump for over opinionated randoms like the Sandwich!
  13. Yeah dude I'm with you I loved the multiplayer PvP in Skyrim too.
  14. So to get started, I'm pretty much a nobody. I'm not hugely into games or even Star Wars. I actually like five out of six of the movies, (Episode 1 just... Ehh, another time.) so really, my opinion doesn't have a place amongst the more elite fans of either Star Wars or MMOs. I can say that I did play some super serious WoW raids, and led my guild through AQ 20, Naxx 40, a tooooooooooooooooooooooon of SSC, and probably my favorite raid ever, SWP. Also a spot where I lose a lot of credibility is the fact that I really had a blast raiding in WotLK and found a couple Heroix 25s pretty flippin tough, so take that as you will. But none of that really matters, I'm here because I absolutely freakin' love Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 3, and so I got kinda giddy at the fact I could just start paying Bioware money every month. And yeah, I'll probably disappear for a week or two once ME3 comes out because you know, yeah. So without further adeiu, 1. EPIC CLASS BASED COMPANIONS Well, so far I've only played a Trooper and a wee tad bit of the Jedi Knight, so I can't rightly say what characters for other classes would be really neat-o, but I can for super certain tell you the two EPIC CLASS BASED COMPANIONS the Trooper freakin' absolutely needs. Those being; A.) Jaxo! B.) JACE MO******* MALCOM. This guy just exhudes everything a trooper is, really. Possibly my favorite character in Star Wars. His introduction was great too, where, after loving the trailers, I see this Trooper on the Alderaan bonus series come out of nowhere, talking like Sarevok and it just dawned on me. I AM MEETING THE GUY THAT PUNCHED MALGUS WITH A GRENADE. I can't even think of anything more I could say as to why I want him as my broski, really. Obviously all other classes would need to get a pal from their series to make up for this awesomeness and it might unbalance the game (Honestly, Jace and Forex on the same team?) 2. Class Quest Crossovers I love this game and I have yet to not have a major blast (Except 50 bracket PvP. Shudder.) but one solid complaint is how little you're FORCED to interact with other people. Flashpoints and Heroic 2/4s aren't required to complete quest chains, which I can see the reasoning for, but honestly I'd really love to see stories intermingle so that it doesn't end up being so spread apart. So, say, you're a freshly landed Trooper on say, Hoth. You just met a really... Interesting shamanistic character and he tells you to go rescue his crew from some baddies. Unfortunately, you're going to need a distraction, someone who knows the place and knows a way to really divert attention from the hostage rescue. At the same time, someone else is a Smuggler having just arrived on Hoth. Turns out there's a huge stockpile of the nicest guns around that you could totally sell to a Hutt on Nar Shaddaa. Problem? You're going to need an explosives expert to get past the 18" thick plasteel doors. You heard the head of Havoc Squad had just recently recruited one. Sounds like you two really, really need each other. You could even really add another dynamic to player interaction because it just so happens that that Demolitions expert is also an Arms dealer and he might suggest to his boss that this Smuggler should take a hike and they should keep the guns to themselves. 3. Companion relationships Aric freakin' loves me, Elara freakin' loves me, oh and Tanno freakin' loves me too. Problem is, almost everything I do should drive Tanno to want to betray the crap out of me, but he doesn't, because he and Aric have absolutely 1 line of conversation ever, even though the duality of the two men could really unfold into a very dynamic and jarring relationship, nothing ever happens, ever. Also, Forex and Elara seem like two people that should really be on edge with one another. 4. Class Specific Perks Kind of speaks for itself but I think it'd be really rad if classes had specific perks. They could even be pretty insignificant, just that they were there. Like the Smuggler ship in combat has higher base defense stats, whereas the Trooper ship had higher base offense stats. Because that kinda stuff screams "I AM A SMUGGLER I SMUGGLE PAST SHIPS I AM BETTER THAN YOUR RUN OF THE MILL INQUISITOR AT DOING SO" and have you ever SEEN the Trooper spaceboat? Yeah, guns, guns everywhere. 5. Class Specific "Daily Quests" I was talking to my friend about this and he said something something Star Wars Galaxies so I'm going to guess that was an MMO and that this tree has been barked up before, but Wouldn't it be freakin' crazy awesome if each class had special "You only" missions they could do every now and again? Not talking Story quest, obviously. Like the Smuggler gets a Smuggler only space mission where they fly past an Imperial blockade and then a ground mission where they deliver supplies to refugees? Or a Bounty Hunter seeks out a mark, bonus points for bringing them in alive. Inquisitor shuts down a rebellion, Trooper starts one. Would just work so grandly. 6. Legacy Houses With the little we have about Legacies, wouldn't one of these be awesome? Mansion sized, accesible to all your characters on that server. Have a kinda limited banking system but one that'd allow you to trade the most minimal of supplies. The more characters you have, the more you can upgrade the house. Maybe have specific Legacy Merchants, et cetera? Obviously it should be highly customizable. With a big spankin' portrait of the first character you get to 50 smack dab in the middle of the Master lobby. 7. Ship Modifications that Actually Do something. Not like Ship Armor or Blasters with higher stats. I mean like, changing the actual ship layout. Say, purchasing a Gym increases you and your Companion's Str and Endurance by +2, or improving Crew Quarters increases your Presence, et cetera. You could even limit the amount of things players could have to force choices. E.g. Bedroom: You get to pick, either a master bed room that's crazy pretty and buffs all of your stats, or really nice crew quarters that buff your crew instead. That's all I can think of right now.
  15. Haha, yeah, a lot of them seem to be Sorcerors, but there's also a toooooooon of DW SW. :/ And I'm not a huge fan of RP . I'm thinking this is my most troubling issue yet.
  16. So, up until level 50, I hadn't noticed the faction imbalance because I didn't PvP, and when I did, there was such a huge pool of people the 1-49 can draw from, I couldn't even understand the statements of imbalancement. Then I hit 50 on my Vanguard and decide to do PvP to get gear so I can do some PvE. (Cause frankly I'm so lost I have NO idea what is going on.) Boy was that a mistake. On Ilum, there's probably 4 imperials per 1 republic. And then the last 4 WZs I was in had to close because it was almost exclusively 4 Republic, capped Imperials. This is just unfortunate cause most people wanna play the bad dudes, wear tight leather, etc. So instead of offering some uninformed stupid opinion on how to fix the imbalance and irritate everyone, I'd rather just reroll on a different server. so what's a good Republic server, guys and gals?
  17. I see tons of sigs saying RIP . Or I survived . I do not know the origin of this meme and would really like too. So please, inform me.
  18. Every time I come across these Beta threads, I always think about how awesome the game is, and then I always want to say "If THIS is Beta, I cannot wait to see the launch game." But I don't because I friends and a family that love me. And don't need that kind of attention. Except I did just say that. So I guess I'll just go ahead and go eat hamburgers.
  19. EDIT: I have no idea why this didn't post in the Suggestion section. That's where I hit the new thread button, anyway. So I really dig the intent of the Legacy system, and I understand why it hasn't been fully implemented yet, so while it's being made awesome, here's a few ideas to add to it. Note: This are my personal opinion, and everyone else may or may not think they suck entirely. Legacy Houses: Let the player choose a planet, say, in my case, Alderaan, and they can establish a House, in my personal case, it'd be House Man. - It should be some kind of awesome to do so, you know, gaining favor of local officials, gathering people willing to build the house, maybe world specific troubles like building on a native burial ground and excorcising the land, I have no idea. Anyway, so you finally build your Legacy House, which should grant the title Of House <Legacy Name> or something similar. Then, allow players to outfit the house with unique Legacy merchants, a special cross character Vault, et cetera. For the Vault, just don't let players store Bound items or money, so that you don't end up with any of that weird business. - - - - - - I'm thinking of this because of House Organa, which I know has political roots. But you know, people like having their own stuff. Like their own ship, guild ships, etc
