    Testing the new 'rotation' on the PTS is just a dumpster fire fueled by lunacy. You play Draining and Bleeding and then end up with 28 Fury as FR becomes available because you had crappy luck with dot crits or you just happen to fall into a slump with rage generation via bleeds / implant due to lack of crits again and you're short even more Fury as you're forced to use BA which you should not be doing as you can't use any non rage spender outside of Berserk or you'll very likely lack Fury. That is supposed to be fun now? Having to rely on pure luck of whether or not you're gonna get enough Fury or Rage? Completely taking the control away from the player and just making it an RNG fest. because that's what players totally love, right? Having no tight control over their own performance, just having to rely on dumb luck like you're some sort of Deception Assassin.

    I mean, ofc you can play Juyo and Blood Fury and have all the excitement and managing power of the old Draining + BF spec but without any of its DPS or being rewarded properly for doing something comparatively difficult (at least to other faceroll specs out dpsing us after this moronic patch). I mean, it's 800 DPS that vanish as soon as you spread dots that quickly eat your berserk. what garbage.

    Totally agree with that carnage has to use that garbage "tactical overwhelmed offense" since god fang tactical was removed only after reintroducing god fang 2.0 carnage got at least decent back in the game with dps. just sayin

    i got a bone to pick with you are u seriously removing the most important passive defensive perk of a class who is lacking heal abilities because it is no Merc, operative or sorcerer OR tank dcd abilities because it is no juggernaut, Powertech or assassin???

     

    Thats fine alright. But u can benefit from it for 20 sec. every 5 min.?? Do you even play marauder at all?

    I hope that is all a mistake and u meant predation instead of bloodthirst.

     

    Next this:

     

    Carnage Marauders are receiving a new Tactical to replace Fanged God Form

     

    Shard of Mortis - Using Massacre / Blade Rush adds Hyper stacks to you, increasing your critical chance by 25% per stack and increasing the cost of your next Massacre / Blade Rush by 1 rage / focus per stack, up to 3. When you deal damage with another ability, Hyper is removed.

     

    What is that ****? it is good for increased crit and all but the cost make it impossible to play it all that tactical is dead before it is released. If u bring it like that i think i will stick to "overwhelmed offense" it is way better than shards of mortis as it is right now. If u want to keep shard of mortis this way i would recomend cost of 1 rage / focus every 3 sec. and not every 1 sec. Massacre / bladerush was always one of the core abilities of this spec (Carnage/combat). If it is used to often thats how this spec works as fille to get to the precision stacks again and high dps abilities.

     

    Here is an example why i dont think this tactical won work at all for most people who are still passionately playing combat/carnage but you dump the passions with these "improvements" for the spec.

    End of my grumbling now. I hope you consider changing the tactical and maybe give the execute passive 15% instead of 10% that would be lovely and absolutely needed.

  3. Yeah, we're coming at it from different perspectives. I could not care less how it performs in PvE. It is PvP that concerns me.

     

    And it is always pvp what ****s up the specs anyway long history since 2012. imao :D

  4. i would have figured the loss of Fanged God would have gotten a bit more outrage than this.

     

    God Fang was alright. but the rotation was pretty boring. Man how i miss the days as you got an opener, main & execute phase in your rotation. well back then carnage/combat did pack some serious dps. i doubt these days will come ever again. But spec isnt as bad as i was afraid at first in 7.0 u have to take up your gear and then u have to decide do you want to go for speed or crit whatever suits you best. imao

  5. I feel like thrown back in time around (game update 4.0 - 5.0) as "assault" was kind of part of your rotation to obtain the needed fury/focus.

     

    BUT back then carnage/combat made some dps nowadays well it is ok but still compared to other classes it is really **** AGAIN

  6. This is what I feel like when I play Concentration when I really want to play Combat...but Combat is not good:

     

    I dont want to judge here. Sure Combat is in a bad spot right now but still if u know how to play the spec properly u get your numbers. U have to work hard for your dps tho harder than most dps classes or specs these days. Carnage needs major buff. In my opinion remove the stacks and give us back how the Precision/Ferocity used to work. then we are back in the game with the Carnage/combat spec

    Some new changes for Marauders/Sentinels are now on PTS. I have updated my original post so there is a full compiled list, but here are all of the recent changes:

     

    Carnage / Combat

     

     

    • Sever / Saber Storm now increases the critical strike damage of Devastating Blast / Clashing Blast and Massacre / Blade Rush by 15% (up from 10%)
    • Ataru Mastery now increases the damage deal by Ataru Form attacks by 5% (up from 3%)

     

    Let us know what your thoughts! Please tell us if you think certain changes make a class overpowered or underpowered.

     

    So Combat/Carnage is finally back again i see with a laughing and crying eye. Laughing eye cause it finally seems like doing som decent dps again and crying eye u r dealing more dps just to ignore ravage/blade dance in your rotation. I was a passionate player of carnage/combat - sent/mara since I started playing the game back in 2012 it was my main spec since - with all its up and down. But without ravage/master strike (describtion intended) doesnt feel like the same anymore. So all i can say goodbye combat/carnage - sent/mara. I hope there will be adjustments in the future to the spec what makes me reconsider my decision to bring my toons to the grave regarding sent/maras.

     

    May the force be with you - tho it definetely isnt with the Spec Combat/Carnage

  8. When writing the patch notes I was curious if anyone would think this was a typo, but it is indeed the correct percentage!

     

     

    It was a bit weird to me seeing percantage like that. good it wasnt a wrong number on that one tho :)

    I am eager to see the changes with tomorrow. Keep it up and keep healthy

    If u should ever consider give us back our precision/ferocity window back would be awesome would set carnage/combat in a good spot again as it used to be as a spec or class who dont can do other things then literally dps. ;)

    Thx for the improvement i am playing carnage/combat literally since i started playing swtor to begin with back in 2012.

    finally back the devastating blast with a big bang as much needede sustain on ataru hits. Thx a lot - would love to see the changes soon on the live server. May the Force be with you guys - Talon'kai

Also i can understand why mentioned all the things you mentioned, i disagree with you about you cant play it in raids you can still play carnage or combat in raids and you certainly are not behind far any dot classes sure you dont drive all the dot classes against the wall with you high dps but seriously isnt it a bit off the charts if the burst dps deals more dmg than the dot dps. Imao it is. Tho still Carnage can compete with almost every class in raid and perform quiet nicely compared with other classes, other specs.

As said before, sure mara carnage got hit real hard by the devs but it was kinda necessary i dont like saying that but it is the truth. only thing what bugs me to no end instead of 1 main ability who deals damage with offhand you got two now since nerf i can feel it is more critical than before for your perfomance on operationdummy. in raid performance it is...mahhh...i dont care most dot disciplines you can still compete with..CARNAGE STILL ROCKS . You can destroy Carnage/Combat :rak_03:
  13. When they don't even realize that you don't need to clip to hit 3 abilities into ferocity, feels bad. Going from 7 abilities in every 2 ferocities to 4 is so painful.

     

    The most awful thing is actually, if you take the clipping with it in the case of dispatch-ferocity-masterstrike (intended) - clashing blast and lance with blade rush. you got castrated by 3 dmg outputs like procz ataru, bladerush, dispatch.

    i think about 800-900 dps loss. but that is just a wild guess of mine.

    i have a question who is bugging me for quite some time now. There are some operation bosses who arent in particular friendly to the fury/concentration discipline of guardian/sentinel - juggernaut/marauder like for example core endphase in temple of sacrifice final fight against revan. The main issue in my opinion is zealous leap/obliterate from its animation you r like 6-7 metres outside if used.Will there be any changes? It makes me kinda sad that this discipline is not really recommendable for this or similiar fights in operations. :wea_03:

  15. They just changed it so mara/sent players who arent that fast on their feets to avoid voids lying around so in my opinion though the new masterstrike kinda looks cool the old was way better in so many ways.

     

    lance/gore offhand dmg miss till 35-40%. give me my previous dmg on masterstrike and lance go to hell. I respect your opinion on the matter but i have a different one.

     

    Maybe i am a bit nostalgic about "master strike" but if you play that game 5 yrs and since back then playin sent combat and what they did to them during the yrs well kinda sad to me.

    i am playin mara/sents for 5 yrs now. I still love swtor with all my hate and love. Still have a question for Bioware.

    Cant you please just took the galactic Command rank bound to class. Me for example have 8 sents/maras just standing around cause i am in no mood to put that much effort in all 8 to "grind" them to rank 300. For obvious reasons i think it would be better that ranking would be take place for each class so it would be more "toon" friendly as it is right now.

    Hey eric,

     

    i have a question regarding the new update 5.0 . Is it really so if you play a guardian as dps it can be you get 5 times for example the tank offhand before you get what you really need (in this case the dps offhand)? Is it really only limited to the advanced class or is the plan of yours to get loot the players achieve based on the tree they are playing.

    For example Concentration dps or Vigilance dps? I know some guildies this topic really concerns them, cause that would mean you have to run countless operations or anything what gives you command points before you get what you really need. Hope to get a reply back. THX ;)
