  1. Anyone have done the math on PT tank set bonus vs the higher armor of Verpine/Oriconian Armorings? On my Powertech I have the 4-pc set bonus, but only one of those is from a DF/78, other pieces are from UW/72. So I'm wondering if I should stick with the UW Armoring or trade two of those for Oriconian Armorings for the chest and boots (I already have the legs as Oriconian and the Head piece as Dread Forged). In my case, the trade off is higher Armor vs 2% Melee, Range, Tech and Force defense. Not sure which one is more useful.
  2. I'm fairly confident that the first time my companion was next to me when I engaged the boss. And i'm 100% sure for the second time, I even had switched companion after going down. Any time that my companion dies, I just use rocket boost and my companion comes back. It's not just for that specific type of companion death.
  3. I've solo'd Czerka Corporate Labs on SM twice so far (on my Shadow and my Powertech), both times my Companion died right away when I engaged the first boss. Other than the Quick Travel bug, I don't remember ever having that problem else where.
  4. Actually, Defense only applies to the same kind of attacks that Shield/Absorb does. The only survival stat that really matter for PvP is Endurance. But there's an exception, the damage transfered to you through a putting a guard on someone can be avoided by defense and mitigated by shield and absorb. If you go with tank gear for PvP, you need to focus your actions around guarding someone, probably your healer, and to be effective you probably have to communicate with that guard target so he keeps you alive. For a tank, I would say you either go full tank gear with heavy usage of guard, or you go with DPS gear. Personally, since I solo queue, I went to DPS gear route on my main (Shadow tank).
