Has there been any thought about another round of server consolidations? So many servers have such low populations... Also, related to this, has there been any thought to cross-server PvP/GSF?

In regards to the section below... say I have a light side character, but was fighting on the side of dark... if dark wins do I get the benefits of being 'dark' or do you have to actually be dark aligned in additon to fighting on the dark side... hope this makes sense. In other words... fighting for a side, or preexisting alighnment, which one matters once victory is declared? To be declared the winner of the Dark vs. Light side war, one side must reach “Dark 5” or “Light 5”. Upon winning, a few things will happen on the server based on your character’s alignment. If your character is aligned with the winning side (e.g., your character is Dark side, and the Dark side won the war on your server), you will reap the following benefits: Bonus Command Experience points earned Access to a special cosmetic item vendor If your character’s alignment matches the losing side (e.g., your character is Light side, and the Light side lost the war), they will receive the following benefits: A bonus to all light side points earned

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked into that link, which leads to a Dev post from 2014. It is referencing folders, etc that don't seem to be in play anymore (Bitraider et al).

6/5/2012: In response to ticket 5536674 in live chat I was told by droid rep AO-i8 that the highest level legacy surname would always be the one used, which was further confirmed when asked that this would allow/force the same legacy surname on multiple servers in a transfer situation.

ARRGH!! Which is it dudes, is it the higher level legacy name, or is the name locked with the server? People are saying with certainty both ways, and it can't be both. Does anyone actually know for SURE? And if so, link to the source if possible ty ty.
