  1. yeah i too have something i got from cyberpower. nvidia, intel, asus mobo. runs great and didn't cost much
  2. I think I first read this kind of post on the Camelot forums. It's an old issue. ATI makes great cards, but their drivers suck. I used to buy ATI. Never again.
  3. To the above poster who mentioned CoX as an example of how to pug and have fun. I absolutely loved CoX, but this is not the same game. When you were on Talos Island (as an example) alll you had to do was /lfg a couple of times and you were on a team. The combat was very different and fun. Many times I would hear people say "Wow, incredible!" after an encounter. Teams generally stuck togther, sometimes for hours with people coming and going effortlessly. It's just not that way here, and I don't see it happening.
  4. Er uh, because people buy the game hoping for the best and it turns out to be not what they were expecting. Thus they are disappointed and out a few bucks and they flame on the boards before they cancel. Not hard to understand.
  5. I can only speak for myself. The main reason I was playing WoW was because of the dungeon finder. Being in a guild does not help with a particular instance you want to do RIGHT THEN. Guildies are not going to stop whtat they are doing run half way across the world for your benefit. Hell, I couldn't even get my guildies to show up for scheduled events. If you want to bray /lfg like an *** for an hour, then you might get a group. I am amazed that this game would spend so many years in dev and not have a way to get people together efficiently. Monumental failure. This right now is solo rpg where you see other players running around aimlessly while you pursue your own personal storyline. No instance finder is only one of the problems, but it is the one that affects me the most. The others are lack of char customization, boring/unoriginal combat animations and lack of replayability. In CoH I played dozens of alts over the years and each char was very different. This game is so story driven that there is zero incentive to replay with an alt. Even so, with all the negs mentioned, I enjoy the game for what it is and for the huge effort that AN has put into it. To compete with WoW a game has to be brilliant, almost a work of genius. Wow is a hard act to follow. For me, it's onward to GW2 -- but not expecting much from that game either given what I have seen on Utube.
  6. When you have a long beta, ppl find the exploits and utilize cheats in order to lvl quickly when the game goes live. Then they preen in the major cities and whine on the message boards about no content. We will see if players can max out GW2 if there is a short open beta.
