  1. So I don't get why they don't keep it segmented by level bracket. PvP as it is now is far worse than it was in the beginning where they allowed level 50's to play against level 10's. It's pretty much making me unsubscribe at this point. I typically try to heal with my Operative, go in, start healing and all that jazz. Boom stun lock and hit by 4-9k damage repeatedly by 3-4 people while even on a damage spec I'm hitting for maybe 2k a hit. How does this game even pair up matches, guessing it's just all completely BS and random?
  2. I think Jedi Knights Force Sweep needs more than a "Stuns weak enemies for 1.5 seconds." Maybe a knock back like the rest, or a immobilize? Really though, Consulars and Sorcs get a 3 second Immobilize AoE added on to their, as well as a knockback. Troops/Bounty Hunters get a knock back. Not sure about Agents or Smugglers but they may get it as well, but they really don't need anymore CC. Honestly, the only time I ever use my AoE is to stop people from capping or placing bombs. Is that really the only use for it? I could be wrong, but on my Sent, I didn't see any passives about Force Sweep that gave it any kind of CC. But yeah, I love my Sent, and not going to let minor details discourage me from playing and enjoying it, but I think Knight's need a little bit more love in the CC department. Nothing dramatic or huge, just a little love. Force Choke being the only other CC besides Leap right, and zealous leap if you choose to go that path.
  3. Not so much trolling as seeking advice in a more heated manner (Which some players gave without a hint of annoyance). Also, aren't trolls also the ones who troll, trolls? That aside, I still never quite understood the bolster system, or how it works. If there's a guide out there that explains it in depth, I'd be glad to be helped out of this pit of innocent ignorance. *EDIT* Oh and I understand the game quite well. It's pretty much exactly the same as most other MMO's. WHich I have been playing for many years now. It's not about understanding the game as a whole as you so ignorantly assumed. It's about trying to understand a single aspect of the game, and to go more in depth a single aspect of the game's PvP. I appreciate any help with the humility and respect it deserves, but id on't appreciate insults or annoyance while also giving advice, which makes little sense to me.
  4. Ah I think I remember being told this months ago about my Guardian haha. Now that I resubbed just recently, I tended to play my Sorc more. Sent's are just pure fun, atleast until I get up against a high Operative which I will do my best to avoid from now on haha. I'll continue to PvP and level up. Hopefully when I get my new mouse, I won't have to worry about cramping my fingers trying to hit all the quick bar keys on my keyboard. Hopefully taht'll help a little haha. Thanks again for the reply. It was very helpful.
  5. Actually I tend to almost always play the Tank/warrior classes in MMO's. I've made pretty much every other class, and Sent was the last on my list. I was a little disappointed with Guardian, due to the fact the label 'Tank' doesn't apply to this game all that much. So I decided to go pure DPS with the sent, with more of less the same tanking capabilities, atleast in 10-49 PvP. Granted I haven't gotten very far into either, so I guess I don't have room to talk.
  6. Ah okay, so I just need to level up a bit. I guess that makes sense, can't expect a wonder trick to beating a Operative. I appreciate the answers and help.
  7. There was definantly one. On more than one occasion. All I saw was a stun, then he/she pops up behind me and gives me a steady flow of 2.5-3k crits, usually 3-5 times, before the stun wears off. Not much I can do after that, if I'm still alive that is.
  8. Why would I unsub? It's a pretty legitmate question. Also fact, almost every MMORPG favors a single class. And that class would be the Rogue class. And that is the class in every MMO that gets the most flack. Also, quite often melee classes such as the warrior or tank are often lacking compared to every other class. Honestly I love the Sent/Guardian. But I hate Operatives.
  9. So on my 14 Sent. I keep on coming across Operatives who can stun me, and take roughyl 9-10k+ HP away before the stun ends with their constant flow of crits. And then stun me again if they actually for some reason feel it's necessary. I understand most cases they are 45+..but how is it that I can fight on some what of an even level with other 45+'s just not Ops? And why is it 10-49 then if that's the case? If 49's are so incredibly powerful, shouldn't you split it up into tiers? Basically what I am saying is why can Ops just sneak in, kill you, and sneak back out within seconds? And please don't tell me that's their only way of attacking and killing, we all know that's not true. Really though, if anyone has any advice on how to beat an Operative on a Sent let me know.

    Question

Hmm interesting. Well not sure how that works. The other day I bought some purple gear for my 33 Sorc, it boosted my HP a little, but when I hit 33, cause I was 32 when OI bought them. I put on my new belt that basically increased everything, my health went down by 200. Didn't quite understand that.

    Question

So this may be a very dumb question to some. Ever since I started playing, PvP has been pretty much the same. Everyone had the same health, stats, etc etc. But I have seen a select few with roughly around 16k HP, or slightly lower. Since everyone's HP generally is around 12-13k It makes me wonder how they got it so high? This was in 10-49 PvP and the 16k person I saw last match was a 45 Powertech. Is it stims, or is there a way to make your stats higher than the PvP buff evens it out to?
  12. Besides the overpopulation and Huttball. Approximately 90% of all Sith are either some emo looking character, or some goth cyborg. (Note: Not an legitimate statistic.) I understand, it may be the 'hip' thing right now to look completely stupid or like a 15 year old boy. But..yeah... That is what I believe a problem the sith has. This really only applies to male characters.
  13. Ah, was waiting for a poster like Mili...well call me lazy, impatient, or whatever. It really matters not to me. Also, about the 50 PvP post. Not that I'm knocking haha, it's just I heard quite a bit about the Republic side horror stories versus the Imperial side. There's also atwo sides to every coin, I am looking forward to 50 PvP, just not the challenge and pain I will feel getting on par with everyone else haha.
  14. Some very good advice and points here. Yes, it's not my first MMO. But most MMO's don't throw lowbies into a warzone with higher levels either. So, basically I need to play perfectly, with flawlessly smooth skills to actually be good at PvP with the Jedi Knight, on top of having to be a higher level...haha? However I do enjoy a challenge, but for now I think I'll just stick to my easy Trooper/Consular and come and go with my Jedi Knight. Really, I could care less about damage, I really just want some survivability. Don't know how the Dev's can come up with a statement saying they are perfectly balanced in every way. They must be smoking some good stuff haha. I've always enjoyed playing Tanks in PvP, just being a initiater and a meatshield while your team mates kill everything has always been fine with me haha. Granted...you need a taunt that works on players to make that really effective. Which I think they should implement, if, and I mean a big apparent IF they touch on the surviability of the Jedi Knight, and all Tank classes. Anyway, appreciate the advice and comments. Finally nice to come on a forum without angry raging people, throwing angry little comments at every thread haha. Edit- However, I really do enjoy the WZ buff that puts skill vs skill rather than gear. 50 I think will be a sad day indeed, but for now atleast one can be on equal footing. Just a few minor touchs on class balances would put it over the bar.
  15. PvP. The only reason to stick around a game. I could be wrong however, which I most likely am. But it just seems that melee characters are at a HUGE disadvantage when it comes to PvP. From what I can tell, a fairly high cooldown gap closer, little to no damage, atleast on my Jedi Knight, and basically the tanking ability of the squishiest player on the field. Mind you, she's only 20...but levels can't give such a dramatic imrovement with the current equality buff you get in PvP. Basically the only way for me to do anything, is for a healer to focus on me while I rush into a fight. Also, pray to god I don't have to fight a Operative haha...
