  1. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601rsMszMskfZZf0cRb.1 Does almost everything pre-nerf Kinetic + Force Strike in a different manner. Just abuse Harnessed Shadows in DPS gear. Uninterruptable, 75% damage buff, 10% heal, and highest potential damage over the course of 2 GCDs worth of time for the class.
  2. It's probably just my low pop server. Anyway, the mere fact that BioWare failed to nerf the problem, which was their crit damage multiplier, and gave them the ability to stunlock, means that BW has no idea what they're doing. They nerfed PvE, and buffed PvP. And I'm still right, a lot of Ops just went healing instead.
  3. If they intended to ruin all ideas of Hybrid builds, they should have designed the trees as they intended, not rushed out release in time for Christmas.
  4. Oh there are Ops and Scoundrels still in the game, they're just healers now instead. Keep your doubt and negativity, and your poor game designers. I for one will not be adding more gametime.
  5. I wasn't calling you a teen or a selfish noob. I'm aware that you're a Balance advocate, I've seen your sticky. Unfortunately for me, my respec cost has been stuck at 100k for several weeks now.
  6. Sentinels poop on healers better than Infiltration ever will, because they have a healing debuff. If people want to PvP as a Shadow, it's far more effective to either be tanky/utility or a DoT spammer. It's only selfish noobs and teens that think bursting a healer is a more effective strat than dotting everyone up or having stuff like Force Pull at your disposal.
  7. And that's the whole issue here. They made Kinetic way too good in comparison to Balance and Infiltration. If they're going to bugger us like this, the least they could do is offer a free respec to Shadows.

Using Combat Tech is what made the piss poor health regeneration actually make a difference, because you were tanky enough to retain health, not just perpetually gain and lose it without going anywhere. Even with the buffs to healing in the Balance tree, ~450 every 4.5 seconds is superior and more reliable than 3% max on FiB and 1% on DoT crits. Additionally, Kinetic has other and even better heals.
  9. You're wrong. There was not a single full spec that was able to do more damage than 0/13/28.
  10. I leveled up the Kinetic tree with 3 points in Balance, abusing 100% crit chance to keep 100% uptime on my 9% crit buff. Anyone who doesn't level Kinetic is in for some surprises when they realize they can't solo a LOT of stuff.
  11. And I probably do the same amount or less damage than I did with 0/13/28. So no, nothing but Kinetic got buffed. Sever Force will still be mostly useless in Ops.
  12. It's not more frequent uptime if you had any amount of crit. It's actually an almost 2 second downtime, considering the 7.5-6 + animation delays and GCD. There were times when I got several procs in a row, but with ~40% crit in an Ops group, I rarely ran into situations in which Mind Crush wasn't available to cast and ticking.
  13. The correct way to go about this whole dealy was to buff the 31 points talents that we weren't getting, not nerf the things that we were getting. Basically all this does is force us into speccing deeply when there's still not really a reason to other than that we now HAVE to. And that's not good design.
  14. Not to mention the fact that it's bad in HMs and almost as bad in Ops. It's a PvP skill, plain and simple. If they want to have 15+ second DoTs, at least make them tick every second.
  15. It took me, and probably a lot of other people like me 30 seconds of looking at the talents to figure out that a hybrid had more damage potential than using a full spec. If it took me 30 seconds, why did it take BW so long to 'fix' this, and why was it implemented in such a form in the first place?
