wouldn't it be worth spending a little extra money on 8gigs of ram and an nvidia gtx 560ti

Hi guys I recently brought SWTOR but was sadly disappointed when i start playing with low frame rate and such, ive got an acer aspire 5551 which is a pretty basic laptop so ive decided to get a new rig either by buying one or building one but i dont know what to get. my ideal budget is between £600-800 but willing to spend a little more, i would like to run the game on pretty high settings so maybe you could suggest what you guys are running it on or suggest what to buy. any help & advice would be great.
