  1. If this is actually true, the reason should be made public, and those folks should be warned not to host similar events in the future. A few people in a single guild shouldn't be able to compromise the ability for the rest of an entire server to log in. It's not "awesome."

Again, this wouldn't be as annoying if it wasn't an event weekend. There are many of us with jobs to actually go to, and no way to finish what we were doing before the crash.

A pvp event from a few random players didn't crash the server. Why would you even think this possible?
  2. Wrong, had it come out as "at you" while other people saw my character name
    If I were to type:

    /point churb

Then it will indeed come as Player points at you to you, and Player points at Churb to all those around you, enemy and friendlies alike. It's a cheap tactic people like to use to check who's on other team and avoid people owning them.

  3. Yep, that is true. But, we are at a point where they can still salvage the game at a premium subscription level. If BW doesn't turn it around quickly (my read < 2 months), then it's over the ledge and I very much doubt a premium subscription service can be maintained.
They're beyond that at this point. You don't (as EA) send a sizable amount of a studio's staff packing, while at the same time openly admitting the the lowered priority of the game against other titles in your stable, with the intent of building a sustainable and profitable mmo long term. The writing is on the wall, this game is done.
  4. If you don't have anything constructive to come with, you are part of the problem, not the solution. Wild speculation and broadside attacks just poison the community further. Do your part to provide constructive feedback.
Actually, everything he stated was fact and therefor constructive.
  5. You're a bit late. Crossroads was 1.2 patch. Since then, there has been an implosion: Subscriptions have nose dived causing EA to gut Bioware's studio drastically, patch 1.3 containing virtually nothing despite the exceedingly long development time, no dates or time frame on transfers except for a vague "early summer", no dates or time frame on Rated Warzones except for the infamous "coming soon", and finally EA's acknowledgement that SWTOR isn't high on their priority list.
  6. because they keep dumbing down the game. Bioware doesn't understand players dont want a game which spider monkeys can play. Making it easier to obtain better armor or benifits does not make attract gamers. 1.2 should of taught them that. Prepare for another sucking sound because they will lose gamers over this.
How augments are implemented isn't why this game has lost most of its subs.
  7. transfers are coming, you have the option to reroll, stop making these post coz frankly a lot of us dont give 2 ****'s.
200 more staff firings are coming too no doubt. Probably several rounds of those with the way this TORtanic is sinking.
  8. Game started dropping subs and population crashed after 1.2. No secret that pvp was better back then, so admit fault and recover your player base.

Um, pvp subs started dropping after 1.2 because they hyped up rated warzones, then pulled them several hours before patch. PVP was no better or worse pre-patch, just a differently wrapped turd always broken in some fashion like the rest of this game, since launch.

  9. If you all hate the game so much, if a game is no longer fun.....

...then why in the name of zod are you all still here?

Free month, courtesy of Bioware for lying to us and then saying "sorry we lied".
  10. Here's what I posted in a similar thread.

Introducing cross servers won't fix anything, except briefly extend the life of the game another 3 or 4 months, until even the combined pool of half a dozen servers in a "battle group" can't even pop a warzone que due to the massive exodus of players. Merging servers solves both pvp AND pve population issues. It's the only answer for a failing mmo.

We need merges. No point in linking a bunch of empty servers together for just warzones, when the problems of this game extend far beyond that.

Bioware won't do either before its too late.

  11. This is why they were going to implement a separate rating que for solo and group (premades), Bioware already acknowledged the problem. You can thank their enormous mishandling of Rated system testing and subsequent recall on release, for why you now have to get farmed by the same premade day after day for the next several months (at best). Don't worry though, this game will be F2P real soon at this rate.
