  1. Jakkharkness here with some humble suggestions. Quantum Gaming <Quantum> Quantic Gaming <Quantic> Visceral Gaming <Visceral> Serenity Gaming <Serenity> (lol severity lol) Banana Republic
  2. I put up 1643 on writhing terror without splashing the adds. dread guard maybe I'll catch an add during kelsara but during the heirad phase cephas and kelsara aren't in range. no cheese. 1652. those are just the ranked on mr robot. it's about knowing the phases and staying on the boss. I posted my kephess number just for the hell of it. it's not all about the sweep, it's just a nice bonus.
  3. I've run focus guardian since launch and it's much MUCH more viable now that it was 2 months ago. I keep up with my slingers and sent on every boss except NiM zorn and toth. Having good aoe damage helps with adds (especially NiM EC Kephess holy hell) but single target is highly dependent on knowing your rotation and priorities. The way I'm geared now I sit around 1800-1900 dps on operations mk-5 dummy over the course of 3 minutes, sometimes as high as 2400 if I get lucky with crits. The highest I've put out on HM TFB Kephess is 2800-something thanks to those crazy burn phases. Personally vigilance isn't for me. I like owning the trash and adds as well as keeping up single target. TL;DR Yes, do it and make people have a little faith in the guardian.
  4. Sentinels are GREAT dps in pvp and they can dip out with their cool downs when things get hairy .. but thats almost all they have aside from transcendence (the group speed boost, inspiration doesn't really do much in pvp.) Guardians have the best utility between all the jedi when it comes to pvp imo. They can take a bit more of a beating as dps thanks to the heavy armor, have that huge focus aoe for dps and awe (the group aoe) is amazing when trying to defuse doors / capture things etc. Guardian leap is the single best skill aside from sage pull in huttball. I wear a shield during huttball so if I get the ball I can swap stances on the run and give myself a little more survivability, leap to an enemy, leap to a teammate then leap to another enemy (get the ball from our endzone to enemies in 10 seconds xD.) Shadows are awesome at dps and tanking plus stealth makes them a great asset when needed to guard things, they can stealth cc and wait for help to arrive if they're alone on a turret. Sages are awesome group healers but get focused down pretty fast. Stick to a DPS hybrid sage as they can tear people apart with dots and TK throw. I run both a 50 sage and guardian and usually top the damage charts (focus aoe is awesome and again, sage's eat people up.) TL:DR Sage for ranged dps / heals (you can spot heal in a pinch too) Guardian for tanky dps and awesome versatility Shadows for stealth and cc's galore Sent's for highest dps (if done correctly) - but that's all they can do
  5. Yes it is possible! The republic side banded together on the Gav Daragon to utterly destroy an operations training dummy. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y228/viciousvolcom/Forum%20Images/deaddummy-1.jpg Nothing was dropped, but the "Training Dummy, Cannot Be Destroyed" tooltip is bogus!
  6. Needed. Didn't read all the responses and frankly I don't care to. Simply put, expertise and pvp gear give me something to do other than grind for damage and survivability gear in ops. I get a sense of accomplishment after killing a bunch of dudes with double my expertise and earning my "right" to kick their butts even more by gearing up and heading back into the fray. I was hugely disappointed right after 1.2 due to the difference in expertise from a fresh 50 and fully geared BM's but now that I've put the time in and leveled out I can safely say they balanced the sh** out of pvp and made me happy while doing so. To fresh 50, just buy the recruit gear and head in. Strategize, learn your opponents and you'll have BM+ gear in no time, EARN YOUR MEDALS!
  7. I'm just annoyed they don't have a set bonus. Whats the point other than making a "pve omg look at my battlemaster gear" set? I bought the schematics figuring I can swap the mods out of reg battlemaster gear and throw in an augment, but noooooooo. No set bonus.
