Im not sure anyone that see's my name will ever recognize me. Here's what I am sure of... I'm sure every one of us that were here will recognize who you are. You always gave us solid advice and you always steered us straight. I appreciate the time you took to being a sorc and I feel the class is better off for the simple fact that you were here.   3. I wasn't only talking about "oh **** buttons" I was also referring to stealth. Fact is you're gonna loose 1 of your cool downs trying to re-establish range against a stealth, which puts you at an immediate disadvantage.
  4. The scenario you are painting is a best case scenario to open with for a Sorc/Sage. The fact is more often than not that is not the case. Stealthers tend to attack when stealthed, so forget about the 30m you have at the opening and forget about having 1/3rd your health. You are also assuming you have every cool down available when you are the squishiest and most picked on member of your team.
  5. I think the biggest issue with sorcs getting a buff is the fact that our class in tied in with healers. A minor improvement on any scale ties into the fact of keeping our teams alive... which many sorcs don't care to do, nor are spec'ed to do. But because of this it makes it more problematic. If the ability seems viable, some will go hybrid just for the talent. If it's across the board then it becomes unfair to other healer classes.

  7. My biggest bane atm is well geared/skilled pt's and vanguards. The inability to cancel the slow proc+their ability to pull+their burst damage output makes me give up. I don't bother wasting a CD when I start taking a beating from one of the ones I know unless he is low on health. It's pointless to do otherwise. I'll agree with you, next on that list is assassins/shadows... that's because of their high initial burst + spell immunity CD + force speed + ability to pull. We're an easy target for them and are victimized as a result. Marauders, everyone seems to be having issue with them. As (as much as I hate to say it) DPS sorcs are a kite class... I think other classes may have it worse. We have more counters to work with, but the execution has to be precise. We fare better than some classes against them, but it's still a tough draw. IMO there's some things that need some attention, but I honestly feel like no one is listening... we're all just unskilled and under geared in Bioware's eyes. It has nothing to do with the counters present and our ability to mitigate.

For PvP would the BiS armor mod be the assassin +1 recklessness charge -15sec cooldown, +5m force slow 4 piece bonus... or would it be the 2 set bonuses: -3 sec barrier lockout debuff and -1.5sec crushing darkness cool down +.5% health on periodic darkness crits? For Madness sorc... 3/7/31 build spec'ed into parasitism/devour
  9. 3 matches into it and i'm just not seeing it being close to a full madness build. I gave up on it and went back to a similar spec to my old one except i dropped 2 pts i had in chain shock and moved them into lightning barrier.
  10. OK, I tried it for one match... I'm not seeing the damage as being good at all. I'll try it a few more times and see how it goes. It does have better CC than a pure madness build, but at this point the loss of DPS doesn't warrant this being a permanent switch for me. i'll try it a bit more and post back.

  12. I think what would solve a lot of issues is overload needs a boost to it's knock back effect, so it's sends people at least 50% further back than what it does at present (i'm more of a fan of it's range being doubled, but then again i'm a bit biased).
  13. Who do you all target when you walk onto a battlefield? does it matter if they are healing or dpsing? You leap to them without consequence That is my point. and this is my solution to that. it's not a be all end all, yet you fight it like it's your lifes work. why? because it's an easy target and my suggestion makes it more difficult.

  21. please tell me how the ranged versions of roots/stuns are superior to the melee versions... in detail (do you homework). then we'll talk.
