  1. I have to say that I wrote these comments right after installing today's patch and reading the notes. After playing the game on and off all day afterwards, I discovered that the graphics are not as jittery and stuttering for me as before. With shadows off, I have a decent fps again. I actually turned shadows on for awhile and enjoyed the beauty of it, with a little drop in fps. I could actually play with shadows on now if I wanted to. I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks, Bioware. You seemed to have fixed some issues for me after all.
  2. So dissappointed. Today's patch was suppossed to address the top issues, including the many "performance issues" that Bioware acknowledged people are having, but there is nothing in the patch about "performance issues!" Why is this being ignored? Who cares about the companion head slot being fixed when the graphics are a slide show even with shadows completely turned off? Please, Bioware, for the love of this game, focus on the more important graphics issues!
  3. Here's a thought: Just make all the perks based on legacy level and forget the credits. There's just not much incentive to level my legacy anymore after I reached 20 or 25. I'm almost at 30 now and it I don't care anymore. Whenever my legacy levels up, it's not a big deal at all anymore. I like the legacy system a lot, but it needs some serious tweaking to make it more about rewards and less about grinding out credits.
  4. Finally another regular player speaking with the voice of reason. Thank-you!
  5. This is probably the only part of this suggestion thread that Bioware could actually implement. lol
  6. I do the dailies almost every day on those three 50's and at best can get 300,000 credits a day. I have no idea what you are talking about. 1 million credits per day is not at all easily done. Only if I played the game all day long and did nothing else. I don't live in your world.
  7. That's not been my experience and I have three level 50's and I cannot do 2 million a week or anywhere near that. What can it hurt to lower prices? Does that somehow imbalance the force or something? Give me a break.
  8. It was really nice that the required legacy levels were reduced recently, but the prices are still way too expensive for legacy unlocks such as the booster packs, ship unlocks, etc. Nothing should cost more than 1,000,000 credits and most things should be a lot less than that. I think that I'm an average player and I will never be able to purchase some of the most expensive legacy unlocks at this rate. I have a life outside of SWTOR that requires the time that I would have to waste on grinding out millions of credits. Please make this change as one of your "quality of life" improvements to the game. Thanks.
  9. With the addition of the ability to add an augment slot to any green quality gear or better, why not make it possible to make an item fully modifiable at a modification station? Players are always wanting more variety in modifiable gear, and there is a lot of green or blue quality gear that you cannot currently get a modifiable version of in the game. It would make a lot of people happy to not have to throw away a non-modifiable peice of gear that really looked cool. Seems to me that would be an easy change to make in the game. It would actually be nice if the gear's built-in bonuses remained on top of the modifications. Such as, if it had +25 strength and +20 endurance, the modifications would just add to that. That would be awesome!
  10. No question that it looks great with the new shadows and I would enjoy the change if I had a faster computer. The issue is that a lot of us cannot run the game without video glitches and stuttering even with the shadows turned completely off. There is something else going on here that update 1.4 introduced. I sure hope Bioware is actually listening and will correct the problem in a patch.
  11. Is there any evidence that Bioware is paying attention to this problem? I have seen nothing about a promise to fix it in a patch or even an apology for the issues. It is really annoying that this game has become a slide show for me since update 1.4. I'm going to keep playing and paying, but that will have limits if the gameplay doesn't improve.
  12. I never ran the game with shadows because of the hit to fps. Before update 1.4, I could run the game on highest settings with shadows off and have smooth gameplay performance. Since update 1.4, under the same settings with shadows off, the fps is lower and the video is jerky and laggy in gameplay, conversations, etc. It's even laggy on my personal ship when there are no other characters around. This is NOT just a shadow issue. By the way, I am running an ATI Radeon HD 4650. Update 1.4 had not improved things for lower end machines like mine.
  13. One of the features of KOTOR was manning the turret guns during space combat. Like SWTOR, the ship was still flying on a rail, but you could shoot in a 360 degree field of fire. It seems to me that the same thing could be added to the current space combat engine in SWTOR without too much difficulty. Just add some missions that have you manning a turret instead of flying the ship. It would be like something right out of the movies, not to mention what you see in one of the introduction videos to SWTOR. It would greatly add to the arcade-style fun of the space combat.
  14. I totally agree. And about the effects of what we do, why not allow us to completely destroy a frigate or cruiser? You know, once you've hit all targets on the ship, it blows up. That would be awesome!
  15. It wouldn't unbalance the game significantly. And, yes, this is an MMO, but solo play is a major part of it for most players. It would make solo play more fun, realistic, and like KOTOR. They could add the option of a second companion as an expensive legacy perk.
