  1. Yes of course those ever so trusty analysts who love picking numbers out of thin air. Perhaps you're right though, and Doug is getting bit of 'action' in the bedroom...
  2. Yes. I'm simply having a lot of fun playing this game and this is all that matters. When I stop having fun, I'll stop my subscription.
  3. Fair enough, I accept the argument. I just don't agree with it.
  4. Like even you implied Kabjat, it all depends on the given situation. Obviously, if someone tried to group up with me on Fleet I'd flat out turn it down, but on a planet, where the intentions are fairly apparent, I'd accept before quickly checking if we're on the same level. I think you're making too much out it, just decline their invite, people are not going to stop doing it because you said so on a forum. Personally, I don't invite without asking myself, but I certainly don't have a problem with it.
  5. Firstly most people ask if you would like to come to a party before deeply indulging into what kind of party it is, hardly want to waste my time telling them for five minutes if they are going to say no anyhow... Secondly you're not spending an hour dressing up as a drama queen, you're simply clicking a button...
  6. It's called subjectivity Minack. Also, don't tell me what is MMO-worthy or not, or if it warrants me paying £10 a month for. I also don't have to be level 50 to have an opinion. I've also yet to play this single player game you say I describe - on my own.
  7. I take what people say on forums, especially game forums, with a pinch of salt. Most people who enjoy games, are actually playing the game. Majority of people who dwell on the forums are: the haters, the whiners, the trolls, and the unreasonable. Moreover, most producers opt for the method you imply. Simply because regardless of the funding available nothing will ever be perfect, there will always be problems and areas that will need to be addressed and improved on after release. I've learn't to be patient over the years.
  8. Sorry to hear of your problems, and I'm sure they are actively looking for a solution to all the fleet problems people are having, but please don't suggest that the only reason I'm still having fun is that I'm only level 25.
  9. See that is the thing man, I don't feel I need to exemplify my MMO credentials to be deemed worthy. I've been playing games since the Amigo 32 but why should that make any difference, we are all playing the same game, we all just have different expectations. My expectations are met, simply as that.
  10. I'm not oblivious to some of the problems that people are experiencing and I'm not some rabid Bioware fan-boy, I'm not even that interested in Star Wars, I'm just a guy who is at the moment enjoying playing TOR. I've read the forums of the last few weeks and I'm well aware of the PVP problems and bugs, but as I'm only level 25 I can't talk personally about them or endgame. To clarify I'm running a sub-par T6500 2ghz duel core with a 6 year old HD3650 and since the last patch I've not only been able to play on my laptops native resolution - couldn't even play with the lowest res' before, but able to do so with surprisingly solid frame rates. I can sympathise with the people still experiencing problems, but for a game this magnitude there are so many variables to consider that of course things are not going to get fixed instantaneously. Again all I was trying to put across, without every word being scrutinised, is that I'm loving the game and appreciate the hard work that is put in.
  11. Why not post things like this, your opinions are meaningless to me, this was purely created to show my respect to all the people who worked hard to make this game.
  12. Just wanted to congratulate Bioware on a truly, finely-crafted MMO. The writers in particular have done a splendid job in creating a world which you not only feel a part of, but have some significance in. One of the most promising indications that Bioware really care about their customers is the fact that in little over a month, they have not only improved FPS by a significant amount, but have made the whole experience more responsive and solid all round. Things I love about this game - The fact that this is the First MMO that I'm so immersed in the story that I have sometimes levelled without even realising. Questing might be the same ol' kill x or bring y to z, but it is camouflaged in such a smart way, that you often forget this fact. Love the art-work, especially the appearances of each race and some of the wild-life that inhabits the many planets. Actually can choose to be an 'evil' sorcerer with the ability to zap the life out of people that I grow tired of The world seems engaged in an on-going war, and one can sense the urgency and desperation that surrounds it. Plus I like how they have separated you from other players in some quests so you don't have to wait your turn to kill the boss, there are no interruptions, everything seems well seamless... One thing I can't wait for, is the ability to scale the UI, and so hopefully we can then have more than two windows open at the same time. All in all I'm having a real blast. TOR to me is worth every penny of the subscription fee.
