So what then? Solo and/or 4man group queues for rateds? Both of which are terribly bad ideas IMO. It's bad enough hoping for decent pugs in regs, and considering you'd always run the risk of being pitted against an 8man (assuming they will not segregate the queues between 8man rateds and solo/4man rateds, because doing the smart thing isn't in their nature), it'd be a genuine clusterf uck.

Get a guild 4man with 4 no name pugs in greens (although with how bolster currently functions that would probably work out fine if they weren't piss poor at the game, sadly enough) to get face rolled by a well-geared and cohesive 8man? If that is their solution to reducing rated queue times, I'm thoroughly disappointed. It's like throwing a Spongebob band-aid on a nicked artery. We're gonna need a little more than that.

Meh, f uck it. Brb rerolling on The Bastion.

  2. Here's my biggest problem with this entire scenario:

Bioware, happy to release paid server transfers after over a year of describing them as, "in the works" charges a modest fee of $20 per toon. Not bad, but not cheap. Low enough to entice a transfer or two, but not cheap enough to bring about major server population swings. This would undoubtedly be presented under the banner of, "Trying to keep current server populations/communities relatively stable and intact". A noble goal, of course.

But then in Aug/Sept the, "PvPers are going to wet themselves over this one!" patch goes live. Low and behold, in 2.4, cross-server PvP is implemented and it effectively makes every transfer that anyone paid for up until that point absolutely worthless (I'm assuming that the only legitimate reason for even considering transferring would be pvp community, aside from wanting to reunite long lost alts I suppose).

A d ick move? Yes. But something I could easily see Bioware doing at this point; milking this game and its paying customers for all their worth while the show is still up and running.

  3. Dear Mrs. Fallenturtle.

Little Johnny is so full of spunk and delight, he knows how to make the other kids giggle. However, he has an independent streak that prevents him from making friends and playing with them. For some reason, he's also developed a bit of a superiority complex for being all alone. This has led to some confrontations on the playground. In one such incident, and completely unprovoked I might add, he started calling names at a group of four. That group beat him up and took his lunch money for the day. We're all hoping Johnny will crack out of his shell one day.

  4. So let me get this straight, Mercs are known to be a broken class and this guy gets a big hit using an exploit that YOONI has been seen using since day 1 and you're gonna jump on this guy for 1 record? Gimme a break. First he gets caught using /stuck exploit (ya insert everyone can do it blah blah here), than he is videoed doing the augment exploit and you people still buy into his crap. I seriously don't get it. First of all he plays 1 class on both sides he should be good at it, than tops it off with exploits and you guys praise him and give him a big pat on the back. But heaven forbid this guy do 1 big *** railshot and omg what have you done Yooni hasn't broken that record!! /PUKE

    How mad?

  5. Finally, I think the bolster has helped to bring a balance to the pvp community. I really cannot believe I just said that because I was so opposed to it initially but, after being able to play both sides, I do think it has helped. PVP is not so gear dependant as it was in the past. The imp side, before 2.0, experienced an influx of new 50's in recruit.....no match for a well geared, experience pub group. With that factor taken out of the equation, now pvp is based more on skill, class knowledge, rotations, etc.....

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what's ruining Pub PVP. It seems, to me at least, as if a multitude of PVE all-stars have crawled out of their Operation/Flashpoint holes and decided to queue up post-expansion. Just about every game there's consistently 1 - 3 PVE gear clad champions running about getting < 100k damage and/or heals in full length matches. DPS with 33k HP, stupidly high damage primary/bonus damage AND 1500 expertise whilst wearing not a scrap of PVP gear doing absolutely nothing.

I'd wager that some of them use MAYBE one ability/10 seconds.

  6. Perhaps not hacking, but exploiting is a possibility. I've seen many of these high numbers screen shots of people that have seemingly high health totals while many others happen to omit health totals.

I'm not about to call out anyone on using the known exploits (I myself played naked for a weekend of good times in the under 55 bracket, though have never and will never use the current exploit.) Until the augment/mod situation is dealt with, there will be some high numbers that were not obtained legitimately.

I don't know all the workings of the augment exploit, but I would assume that removing the item and replacing it just before the match is to end would just put the stats back to where they should be, so including health totals and/or character sheets would not go far in being legit or not.

    wut..

  7. Also heads up for the new records thread in your ss I will need to see your lvl. I see your lvl 55 :p I am also looking for some class experts that can say this record is possible this record is BS so on and so forth

I wouldn't actually submit this nonsense to a records thread, just felt the need to show how stupidly high Sage DPS can be currently :p

I wasn't using the bolster bug, at least not the "I'm gonna get naked and queue because I'm awesome" part of it. I was in mostly DG with a few Partisan/Conqueror pieces (implants/earpiece and boots), so bolster probably gave me a decent and arguably sizable boost.
