  1. Vowrann. I've always wanted him as a companion.
  2. I strongly disagree with this point. A very good case could be made that TOR has some of the best storylines of any MMO out there. Maybe not the FE/ET stuff, but I've played a lot of MMOs, and the class stories in this game are arguably some the best stories of any MMO I've played, maybe *the* best.
  3. I can see both sides of this debate, but ultimately I am where you are on this. All of this back and forth over a measly $15 a month? MMO's in general are a pretty incredible value in that they give you a month of entertainment for ~ $15. $15 a month isn't even on my radar. I am by no means rich, but if someone has that hard of a time scratching together $15 in a month, then they have other issues and priorities that they need to look at. The only thing I will say is that they should remove the credit cap for preferred players. Even as a sub, I've always thought the credit cap for preferred players to be such a petty and silly thing, and to compound the issue, right now that cap is way, way too low with the mega-inflation going on in this game currently.
  4. I already have credits, so I don't buy these specifically to make credits off of them. I have passed on most of the recent hypercrates because I know they haven't been that great of a return for your money. The reason I bought this one is because of some of the changes they made, and because many of the newer items are pretty nice, but the majority of what I was getting was silver decos and old random stuff. While I didn't buy these expecting any one thing to drop, the fact that barely any of the new armor came out of 26 of these packs is awfully underwhelming. I'm not mad about it, I'm just giving my general input on what someone may or may not expect to get out of these.
  5. Some people want to know what others are getting out of these packs so they can make a better-informed decision whether it's worth it for them to try their luck or not, especially since not all packs have the same RNG. You may disagree with the posts, but, oh well.
  6. I'll just be blunt. I just opened this hypercrate, and it is probably the worst one I've ever opened. I got several decoration duplicates, the 2 supplementary of the gold armors, the lower of the silver armor, and the white Aratech mount that already looks almost identical to one that the mount vendor sells for a few thousand credits. And I got a bunch of random old crap that won't sell for anything. You may have better luck, but after what I just witnessed, I'd need three or four of these hypercrates just to get a complete armor set. Not impressed, not even a little.
  7. Lol DK has a fantastic wall. Really great. The best.
  8. When someone uses something Trump-related in their name (Godemperor Trump, etc). I always see those people trolling hard in general chat.
  9. 1. Hoth's main theme. It really fits that planet well and it's always been a favorite of mine. Sometimes I listen to it at work just because it's relaxing. 2. Voss - Voss has some really nice, mysterious walking bgm 3. Tenebrae's theme, because it's amazing
  10. The Galactic Empire has more troops, more ships, but less Sith. However, the two primary Sith the GE does have are extremely powerful. I could easily see Palpatine being able to crush teams of 5 or 6 standard Sith from the Sith Empire at once without breaking much of a sweat. Same with Vader. Some of older Sith from the Empire, like Vitiate, could pose some problems for the Galactic Empire, however. The main problem I see for the Galactic Empire is that, while they have an advantage in manpower, their standard troops don't seem to be nearly as well-trained as the soldiers in the Sith Empire. I still think the Galactic Empire would win, but they would suffer some serious damage and losses, and it would take a long time to rebuild from it.
  11. It's not that difficult. Guild Wars 1 had multitudes of skills that behaved differently in PvE and PvP, and that game was released a decade and a half ago.
  12. Yes. You can do literally just about anything and you will eventually hit 70.
  13. You can also craft prefabs and sell them. You don't even have to get your crafting level very high to start making them. People pay nutso prices for decos and consequently the prefabs that you can buy some of those decos with.
  14. This is my method as well. I can get down with some serious crazy when the situation calls for it.
  15. Manaan was my favorite planet in KOTOR. I've always loved the ocean and water planets fascinate me. So, if that's where the new stronghold is, I'll be thrilled.
  16. This thing is so cheap on the GTN (relative to other platinum mounts). I think most people would be better served taking that amount of coins and buying other stuff off the Cartel Market to sell for credits and then just buying the Luggerwahl off the Market, because it's always flooded with them. Kind of surprised this is the thing they went with for direct sale.
  17. I agree with many of the points being raised by the OP and others. By the time my first Sith Warrior had started Kotfe, she had seen so much combat and beaten so many powerful enemies that it didn't make much sense to me that all of a sudden, the Emperor's Wrath is getting tossed around like a rag doll by these two Zakuulan brats. Standard Sith Lords/Jedi, ok, I can see how Vaylin and Arcann could beat them since they are sufficiently strong in the force, but the Wrath is a whole different ballgame. My thought process the first time I went through Kotfe was "Why did I bother taking my Warrior through any of the previous stuff if these two cheeseheads can just toss her around whenever they feel like it?" Even Revan couldn't do that. Are these two really that much more powerful than Revan? It simply did not feel very believable seeing the Wrath getting dominated like that in Kotfe..
  18. Good suggestion about EH. I actually did two things I previously swore I'd never do: Play on a different server than Harbinger, and play a Trooper, but I am now playing a Trooper on EH and surprisingly, I'm enjoying it. The community on EH is definitely nicer than Harb on average.
  19. Yep, it does that, and yep, people still pay millions for it. It looks cool when just running around and during combat,, and for some, that's good enough. But I'm like you; it has to look right in a cutscene or it immediately gets scrapped never to be used again.
  20. I like chance cubes. I've gotten some really nice stuff out of them and presently, they are the only way to get some of the older items in the game. I've gotten a lot of junk out of them too, sure, but I like them being in the game. I'm wondering though if maybe they shouldn't sell them separately for people who like them, because I fully understand how some people don't appreciate them taking up slots in new packs when you just want the new items from that pack.
  21. The Ajunta Pall mask does it too and it drives me nuts. To this day I do not understand why it is such a coveted item, because it looks terrible in cutscenes with your character's face coming out the sides of it when they talk.
  22. The short alien dudes that sound like pigs when they talk. I can't stand listening to them.
  23. I agree with this. I just did Iokath for the first time on my Jugg, I sided with the Empire, and I was thinking "Does the Republic really have this big of a deathwish that it plans to take on both the Empire and the Alliance?" That's a suicide mission for the Republic and there's no way they'd be that stupid, especially when you have Republic NPCs telling you how wrecked they were from the previous conflict against Zakuul. I don't mind going back to the Empire vs Republic storyline, but I think Bioware backed themselves into a bit of a non-sensical corner with the way they implemented certain things.
