While I get that the devs want constructive criticism, rather than pages of just "/signed" posts, I think the claim that all criticism/petitions/ideas are well-received is a bit far-fetched. I spend a few hours browsing these forums everyday and I get confused by the sheer volume of requests/bugs/problems/petitions that are being thrown around, sometimes several multiple of such things in a single thread.
To get to my point, with the sheer amount of posting going on, a thread can easily get lost and sent back to page 5 within a matter of minutes on this forum. With the SEARCH feature disabled, this impinges on us, as members of the community, to let others know about issues that we are having, and also of indirectly giving the developers our feedback.
In a forum with a lot of feedback being thrown around (both good and bad), a simple "/bump" or "/signed" is the community's way of indirectly informing the developers what is important to us and what is just a pipe dream. So I ask, how exactly is this NOT considered constructive criticism or feedback?
Note: this is in response to the recent closing of the petition post for hoods/masks.
