How do you get this companion. Is there a level requirement?

I just want to double check here. We don't have to modify or followers weapons? I know we don't have to mess with their armor. Do their weapons act the same as the armor (even though it always says it does crap damage)

I am assuming that crew skills will advance with knights of the fallen empire. Any thoughts on having cybertech be able to craft orange droid armor?

Has everyone forgotten that this is just a game?
