I'll still dominate bads like you even post an unwarranted nerf. It just will be hard against other competent players.
-
Actually it wasn't when you had friends, granted some comps I played where strong (oh and no I rarely played healer comps for more than a day or two) for example, Shadowpriest rogue was always fairly strong in the upper quadrant of decent, but then I'd roll out some enhance Rogue, or enhance mage, or maybe some ret paladin warrior hunter, or oh my lord it would take me forever to relay every comp I played in all those years .
and as I said varying success. sometimes I'd be up around 2200/2300 missing Gladiator as a strong dps comp, like Mage rogue warlock, othertimes i'd be sat around 1800/1900 not really moving so much playing enhance shadowpriest prot pally, the comp never got me down, the struggle was fun.
Even if all my friends are on and willing to subject themselves, I'm still only 50% playing with people I want too. and the other half drags my soul away in a game or two.
And that's all fine and dandy, I never once said I thought your reasons for liking objective based combat was wrong, if you like that all well in good, whats wrong with me having my preference.
I already went over this, suffice to say I found healer vs healer comps gave too much of a net for mistakes to be made.
I never said it wasn't flawed. One team did have a advantage as the gates opened, but it didn't define the end result.
They said they're adding rated warzones so the same thing is going to be happening anyway, just from that instead.
I've lost many warzones, I had High warlord, and champion on two other characters back in Vanilla. and yeah doing premade vs premade was reasonably fun for a while, but I never looked back after arena, oh and I've never complained at anyone on my team for losing, because I don't take it seriously, just like I've never complained about losing an arena match, at the end of the day it's a game, why upset people randomly over pixels, when you can just sign up again and try harder?
You seem like a very serious, slightly angry man. Let go once in a while.
lol this guy just owned you bro

This is simply not true, every rogue playing at top 10 ratings were pretty much full-on stacked with PvP gear simply because of how quickly they got bursted without it.
PvE stacking in arenas ONLY worked on lower ratings, no class could use more then 3-4 PvE parts max without gimping themselves too much.
Oh I agree with you for the most part. I'm talking about a rogue using 3-5 pve pieces rather then just maximizing resilience.
-
1st ) i was having a break at that season
2nd ) i boosted him to duelist on my sl/sl lock on his druid, while i had rank 1 5v5. No matter how good u are, ppl watch ur rating and instant judge. Some more idiotic, just jump to conclusions without even knowing eachother. You made perfect example.
3rd ) You just proved my point when i said that ppl want arena so they can boost their e-peen, to think that they have accomplished something in their fail lives. And by doing that they call everyone that is better or worse than them a "scrub".
4th ) I wont bother to reply to you again, my time is way to precious to be wasted upon you.
EDIT : Like someone else earleir replied to you post : Go back to wow and you arena perfect world and be sure, none here shall miss u.
/facepalm
So tired of pandas talking about how they hate arena and used to be a R1 player. OK BUDDY!
YOU DONT WANT ARENA BECAUSE YOU ARE BAD AND ARENA PUTS A MAGNIFYING GLASS ON THE FACT THAT YOU ARE BAD.
-
Im sorry but please explain in high level PVP how resiliance wasnt needed by any class? (including Druid which i played at a low-medium level) High armor was meager compared to resiliance... Bear form was good vs melee/physical dmg resiliance helped more overall by alot.
well, it's a matter of preference, bracket, comp, etc.
You need a lot more resilience as a disc priest then you do as a rogue. This is simply because rogues had a lot of utility between Cloak of Shadows, Vanish, Shadowstep, Sprint, Evasion, and that other one I'm forgetting that lowered physical damage. In most cases, rogues were better off stacking pve gear/stats to maximize damage output, since most people ignored them completely.
-
People are most likely complaining about:
Shields
Healing
Knockback
In combat CC
Stun
Endless lightning snare
Force Speed
High sustained range damage
The class has too many pvp tools especially in Huttball.
no it doesn't, you just don't understand game mechanics. l2p

Bad kids are bad. l2p.

Right so just because I do not Arena much means I should love Arena?
What kind of logic are you using?
Yea I did Arena but it still ruined the game. This is just a fact you refuse to accept as you love it.
If you don't arena much you probably shouldn't be judging them should you panda? It never ruined wow, it helped it flourish at its peak. Get your facts strait.
-
LOL PVE gear was rendered useless in PVP Arena by adding a stat like Resolve. You lie.
Do you mean resilience? You really have no idea what you're talking about huh?
-
THAT IS A LIE!
The true way to see who has talent is to put them all in the same gear in a match.
If people have the same exact gear they the only winner is talent and nothing else.
Arena people live by the motto of out gear the other guy. So you get those with no life at all outside of Arena that rule Arena all the time. They are not that much better they are just better geared.
Want proof? Make all of them wear exactly the same gear then look at who wins.
My main problem with what Arena does is destroy the PVE side of the game. Why WoW is dead is the direct result of my character being nerfed for sake of Arena and destroyed PVE.
This is just not true. The same players who lead the brackets in bg9 were leading the ladders in the tournament realm, where gear is equal.
You bads just refuse to accept the fact that you're bad. You have self image problems.
-
they don't (at least not better than hard modes)...
this game is made for pandas...
-
Right, and Nightmare modes are fine to have, but they shouldn't reward better gear then regular mode ops groups, that wouldn't be fair to the bad kids.
We get it, you're bad. Arena really magnifies this, and it pisses you off. So instead of getting better, you come to the forums and beg them to not implement them.
-
oh u mean sorcs and BHs? u do realized sorc kiddie sparks does internal dmg thats non mitigateable, and bhs tracer missle hits way harder than commandos grav round?
yeh stop complaining, imp
omg you morons are driving me crazy. Get your facts straight. Lightning does not ignore armor rating. Everything you say is pointless since all you can do is make up **** to make yourself feel better about the fact that you are a terrible player who gets rolled.
-
Force sprint, Shields, ranged stun, AoE knock-back/interupt on 20 second CD, ability to pull friendlies to you, best healer, no resource constraints/issues..... amazed that there are any other classes playing.... in PvP Sorcs/sages have all the tools needed in one class.
^^^ lol bad kid

Really? How my not-so-good pvp player friend (around 1700 rating on every season, when start was 1500 then) managed to get gladiator on his pala in season 5 as DK-holy pala 2v2?
Weird...
Set up is the 99% in arena
And to have many viable set ups, u need all your game balanced around arena..
no thx
Pointing out that wow had 1 awful season of 2v2 when DK's were intially released doesn't prove your point. Also, your friend must have not been that horrible. Perhaps his ratings were low because he was carry his crappy friend (you). Even playing the most OP comp in the history of wow, you still have to beat the other OP comps to get gladiator, so whatever.
-
The only WZ Imps always win is Huttball. Sometimes I just watch in awe at how good those Imps play that game. They have that WZ clocked.
Voidstar and Ald are different stories entirely. I would guess that Pub teams I play with win 60-70% of those matches, but my main is in the 50s bracket.
And that makes sense. 3/4 or so of the games on imp side are Hutball, while 1/4 of the games or so on the rep side are Hutball. Imps just have more experience with it.
-
Arena is the ultimate way to test pvp skill. Without it pvp will become stale and boring. You guys can argue about the rewards for it all you'd like, but this game WILL lose a significant amount of pvp players unless some sort of competitive pvp environment is implemeneted. Hutball is a terrific warzone, but it still gets stale after time.
-
Fixed.
Wanna be a glad? Be a mage, find a rogue, find a priest, faceroll to epix.
Resto sham + any 2 classes = free glad.
Skill at a premium!
spoken like a true baddie.

Now the opratives got hit by nerf bat, and now its time for trcer missile to get the same.
Whats the diffrence when a mercanary kill you in stun/knockback than a oprative does it?
Tracer missile need longer casting time, or some kind of a cooldown. Its redicioulse OP.
The whole design of that class is utter *****, a 1 button spam class have no place in the game.
When tracer crit for 2.5-3.5 each hit, he can easely kill you in 3-4 missiles in open after a knockback!
They need a nerf, and i know it will come, so deal with it!
lol they don't need a nerf. Interrupting tracer missle and watching them back pedal is awesome. Just lock them out of it using your utility or LOS and then you can stop whining.
-
One of the things that needs to be nerfed is the insane amount of control that Sorc's have.
Take, for instance, Force Lightning. Not only is it a great offensive damaging ability. It slows the opponent down by 50%, and properly specced, it's spammable. This means that a melee class can be completely locked down, from range. Even other ranged classes can be forced into positions they don't want to be
No other class has this amount of control. Then you add knock back (with root if specced!), force speed, bubble, and heals, and the Sorc is the most survivable high DPS class in this game.
Make no mistake. Sorc's WILL be nerfed. Bioware has all but confirmed it. The question is how. Hopefully, they can do a better job this time around than they did with Ops.
lol melee complaining about sorc. l2p bro
-
Omg they need to wait 3 Seconds to activate their bubble again??? ***, Sorcs need to be buffed, no really!
no one can take you seriously when you don't understand basic game mechanics. How can anyone take anything you people say seriously when all you do is spread rumors about bubble absorbing 5k and having a 3 second cooldown. No wonder people think sorcs are overpowered. I kill most sorcs in a matter of moments. Every now and then I'll run into a good one who can give me a run for my money.
If you guys want to argue about a class needing nerfed, at least make sure you have some facts and arn't just using lies to prove your points. It makes you look like an emotional child who lost to a sorcerer in a warzone and came to the forums to cry to mommy and daddy to make them go away.
-
They are FAR from the squishiest, with all those bubbles on short cooldown. They have loads of dots, and skills that ticks for 1000 damage per hit, very fast
You don't know what you're doing
-
Ive seen 6 to 8 plenty of times.here's the deal when all those people were pointing at Op's and there openers on people that could kill someone fast, those Op's died fast right after, not so with this Inquis/Sorc train.
I kept saying it for almost two weeks and people just kept complaining about Op's,groups of these guys sorcs/inquis with the bubbles, stuns, and DoT's on yah is too much,it's just too much not even groups of Op's could do this.
I don't care what the other team has. You didn't break 100k damage. Go back to your hole and learn to play. Your opinions are worthless untill you understand basic game mechanics well enough to do what you should be capable of at level 25.
nice hat bro
-
Megatf....people have no idea what they are talking about on these forums. They whine worse then any community of gamers I have ever seen. There are more whining on these forums then when Deathknights could revive after being killed and kill you to win their match.
I played a warlock Cdubb during my wow life. I was gladiator every season I actively played...starting from S2. I got glad as every single spec. Player skill is the biggest factor in arena...not class compositions. I ran rogue/meta lock/ret paladin to 2600 in s7 out of bordom. I ran destro/rogue 2v2 until I was number one in the world (after fear/blind nerf). You can pull anything off if you have good teammates and communication.
Before anyone says anything to Megatfx referring "arena" play...get your facts right. He pretty much carried the hunter class for years, thus proving it isn't the class, its the player.
+1
I was never a gladiator and only broke 2400 one time, but it wasn't because the teams above me had OP comps/gear, it was because they were a better team with a better strategy and more experience. Does comp and gear play a factor, absolutely, but the good teams find a way while the bad teams complain.
Sage/Sorc needs a nerf!!
