  1. The Walt Disney Company acquired LucasFilm, parent company of LucasArts, the co-publisher of TOR. The new policy since this acquisition, yes you are playing a Disney game, is that only new media is canon. With the complete reboot this expansion seems to offer, since it appears to be a standalone story so far unlike all the other previous expansions, this could be the first piece of new Disney Star Wars media. Meaning, this expansion is canon and everything else that came before is not, and that includes all of the games, films and EU.
  2. An unintentional sacrifice is not a sacrifice. If you walk by a beggar and your wallet full of cash falls out of your pocket and into the beggars lap, that is not an act of sacrifice.
  3. That is because sacrifice is the intended act of surrendering something that is your's, not to take away something that is not yours. It does not fit the meaning of the word. If you killed your brother while in good terms to gain something in return, that's sacrificing your brother. That is not what happened. Killing Valkorion would not be sacrifice, it was an act of rage. Killing Dexan was not sacrifice, it was unintended. The last scene was the equivalent of splitting a dog fight. It's your dog, you feed him, he sleeps with you, but if you put yourself in the middle of a dog fight, he will unintentionally bite you or attempt to.
  4. The SACRIFICE is the life that the twin brothers of royal blood will have to live. They will have nothing, they will have no guidance, they will have no freedom. They sacrifice their entire lives training, to be able to have anything, such as wiping out the Empire and Republic and being masters of the galaxy.
  5. That's a good question. The Eternal Empire could be connected to the Infinite Empire. The similarity in name is obvious and the Infinite Empire used the force pikes used by the Eternal warriors. The Eternal Emperor also sounds alot like the Immortal Emperor (Vitiate). He wears a snake in his chestpiece which is a symbol for immortality. Could also not be connected at all.
  6. Look at the force pull in the video again. Dexan pulls his lightsaber out well after Arcann lands on his feet and when he is already in his face. Dexan was caught completely off guard, not expecting his brother to attack him, and Arcann had the momentum and killing intent. If it was as simple as that. Sports games would end after the first goal.
  7. That is another good possibility. Imagine being a dark side force adept and your initiates are holding hands and patting each other in the back, the old man was not happy. But I don't think there was ever any doubt that Dexan was the greater of the two throughout the entire cinematic.
  8. Thanks man The cinematic was awesome and it had a cinemaworthy story. Yeah Dexan's death was sad, but I suspect he is still alive and that this story is about Dexan coming back from the ashes and destroying the Eternal Empire. It would be such a good twist that I would be upset if they did not leverage it.
  9. The face of the twins seems to be that of Australian actor Joel Edgerton ...
  10. Hold my hand, I will explain ... Throughout the cinematic the twin brothers Arcann (White) and Dexan (black) are rejected by Emperor Valkorion (Black/White) 4 times. The most important is the link between the first and the last. 1- Training Pit - Dexan demonstrates to be the greater of the two and gives a hand to his brother to help him up. Emperor Valkorion turns away from them and it is uncertain at this point what bothers him. Dexan is cool and collected and Arcann feels inadequate and inferior. Later they craft their first lightsaber and Arcann elbows his brother congratulating him, and reinforcing who is the greater of the two. 2- Throne Room - Emperor Valkorion turns away. Dexan is again cool and collected as they walk away, unaffected by the lack of recognition. Arcann turns around and shows his first sign of disdain for Emperor Valkorion. 3- Holocomm - Emperor Vakorion turns away. Dexan is again unaffected. Arcann has had enough of the Emperor at this point and destroys the holocomm in a fit of anger. Note: Arcann is injured and loses an arm and one eye in war, he suffers great pain while having cyborg attachments done mid battle. Dexan is still physically and mentally unscathed at this point, again proving to be the superior of the two. 4- Throne Room - Before Emperor Valkorion turns away, he looks at both his sons with slight disgust. Dexan is cool as always. Arcann completely loses it, his eyes turn yellow (dark side) and he attacks Emperor Valkorion. Dexan force pulls his brother to save Emperor Valkorion and is killed by his brother, being caught completely off guard. While Dexan is dying Arcann holds his hand and let's go. This represents the ending of the bond that occurred before being rejected by the Emperor the first time as children. When Arcann looks up, Emperor Valkorion is in front of him and his eyes are yellow. He accepts Arcann as his son. Note: While Arcann is force leaping towards Emperor Valkorion, the emperor maintains a flat affect. However, as soon as Dexan is about to force pull Arcann, the Emperor's face turns to disgust in Dexan's heroic attempt. Ironically, while Arcann felt inadequate and personally rejected for being the lesser of the twins, the Emperor had greater disdain for the greater of the twins, Dexan, for his light sided leanings. Conclusion: The Emperor was rejecting the strong bond between the twin brothers, as it was not compatible with the dark side, and his plans for the Eternal Empire. The intention was for them to compete and betray one another as it is customary in Sith culture and the dark side at large. It was not a matter of lack of performace, as he readily accepted the inferior of the twins, Arcann, when he broke the bond and slayed his brother. Afterthought: There is alot of giddy talk about linking the name of the trailer to the meaning of the trailer itself. The SACRIFICE is the lifestyle that the brothers will have to live. They will have nothing despite being royals, they will have no guidance, and they will have no freedom outside of waging war. It has nothing to do with the death of Dexan. It's all in the narrative. The man can have anything if he is willing to sacrifice. With your birth comes a solemn vow, you will have nothing, your privilege is the dirt. In the darkness, only ambition will guide you. The oath you swear , the promises you make, they are yours alone. Your freedom, will be the wars you wage Your birthright, the loses you suffer. Your entitlement, the pain you will endure. And when darkness finds you, you will face it alone.

At this point it is impossible to state if they are Sith, but Emperor Valkorian and Prince Arcann are both dark side force users.
  12. They are not gonna roll it back that would be admitting failure on a new level, something never seen in an MMO. The failure of 1.4 was clearly a failure in leadership. They knew it was not ready but someone pushed the release to coincide with Mists of Pandaria. Someone is definately getting fired over this, imagine being an investor and reading these forums. Anything Star Wars sells and succeeds, it has a a solid fan base decades old and a timeless appeal. The game looks great, the voice acting is great, the immersion is great, the problem was the idea that you can build an MMO on story and put everything else on the backburner. Factions have separate questing areas on every planet and bases on opposite corners of the map on every zone in the game making pvp servers boring and uneventfull. We cannot attack each others cities because they are either on planets or zones we cannot access. There is a lack of flexibility in rerolling a character. If i like the Hutta quest line I should be able to take my lvl 1 Sith Warrior to Hutta and quest there but instead you are put on a rigid trajectory all the way to the end. Thats just stuff that personally turns me off but what gets at all the players is the amount of time it takes to respond to bugs and issues. Making a hotfix to make Legacy tabs accesible with or without a name would bypass any naming bugs. They can code that in a few minutes yet implementing that change takes weeks or months due to red tape. It takes months to patch the option to hide companion head gear, it takes a week to make a hotfix that does not work for a failed patch. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel you have the greatest IP of all time Star Wars, all you had to do was copy the concept of the greatest MMO of all time WoW and give it a Star Wars flavor. People are dying for a reason to STOP playing WoW, its not hard .... Now your betting on F2P which is gonna lead to losing even more subscriptions as everyone will switch over to F2P. Seriously what premium end game content are you gonna deliver to 500k subscribers that you could not deliver to 2 million. That does not make any sense at all, your telling me with less than half the income your gonna deliver better content than before, Right. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel, you have all the work cut out for you and decades of Star Wars fan appeal and lore. How could you possibly screw this up? Did any of the Bioware/EA big boys ever sell lemonade as a child or girl scout cookies?
  13. just replace the stupid pebbles with this ability animation
