Well no. This thread was made to inquire to EA/bioware about the state of the Apac servers, problems with the apac servers, concerns, bugs and fix times etc
Not to voice disgust at EA/Bioware.
Nope i do not understand why such value is placed into an online game character name.
i play the game for fun, not for people to know my in game name lol.
If you have friends in-game that only know you by said in-game name im sure it wouldnt be hard to inform them of your new name if you had to rename.
Well i don't know what internet connection you have, but i was playing PvP on harbinger with a aussie friend last night and we got through the match fine.
he finished in the top 3 and i was around the middle.
The slight lag didnt effect us.
Wont help the situation. Even if the sigs get up to the thousands i doubt it will make ea/bioware reverse their decision.
Makes more sense from their perspective.
Not to say this game isn't fun but I'm happy with the characters I've leveled already.
And seeing as there are no paid char transfers I can't move them to a populated server.
The thought of re-rolling another character is not appealing to me in the slightest way.
Sure a merge between apac servers might be okay but let's face it, the decision has been made.
I highly doubt all the crying and whinging and petitions will change anything.
The Aussie servers are just not worth being kept on to eaware.
Why would they reverse their decision? 300 people not happy about a little lag increase and losing their precious in game names won't make eaware care at all, apac servers aren't profitable to them.
The people unsubbing won't worry the company. They've shown before they don't care for Asia pacific.
Sorry but for an MMO thats pretty bad.
And what about the other 2 servers? 20-50 people on the fleet on peak hours
Im 100% behind these servers going.
The lag would be bearable and boo hoo people dont get to keep their names. (not a huge deal)
Dont waste your time as i said before a petition will do nothing. if they have announced it its happening BL to all you people desperately trying to hold onto your dying servers. I, for one am glad this is happening.
