  1. So got my main to 50 and in full Champ gear. Time to start some alts right? My guild needs a tank so I started playing around with Mars and Jugs. Got both just over lvl 20 at this point. I've been playing in some WZs and obviously PVE as well. I understand that a 20th-ish lvl toon is not an indicator of end game ability but it is a bit of an indicator of the overall utility and ability.

It feels like the Jugg is kinda weak to me and I find this to be strange. You'd think the increased armor alone would equate a large survivability increase but I’m just not seein it.

So although this might be a hard question to answer which class do you think is the overall better class? Is the Jugg just not a viable PVP class? Am I just not feeling the endgame powa?

  2. Just to be clear, putting a penalty on leaving a warzone will not make people not want to leave warzones. If you WANT to leave a warzone rather than sit through it and tough it out, then whatever that reason could possibly be it is a good enough reason.

Unless the penalty was 'Ban for a week' or something that actually prevented you from going and doing other stuff, then it won't stop people from leaving. People will just go and do other **** - quest, craft, goof around, run in circles, bash their heads against walls, **********, roleplay, talk to friends, go afk and get a sandwich, or maybe all of the above. I don't judge.

You just have to understand the only effect that demanding a warzone leaver penalty will have is two things - it will unnecessarily punish people who get disconnected or have to get up because their cat just threw up all over the keyboard, and it will make your queue times (slightly) longer for everyone, since there won't be as many people re-queueing in a timely fashion. The last one there is the most important to keep in mind.

TL;DR, people who want to leave warzones don't give a **** already, so what kind of backwards logic is it that imposing some time penalty on them will make them suddenly care? All it would be doing is removing people from the pool of potential queueing PVPers.

Bump the thread if you agree!

With the implementation of a global queue this point will be moot

  3. I don't know about anyone else, but I plan to AFK in every losing warzone I get into as of patch 1.2.

Good to see Bioware making "positive, well thought-out" changes to PvP.....

You can't influence anyones actions but your own.

If you choose to give up when you're down then maybe you deserve a some of your own medicine in the form of your team doing the same.

  4. If north is up, west is left, east is right and south is down... why not just say up, down, left and right?

Exactly. I don't really care what you call the doors, cap points, whatever but I gotta say that ppl who tell me "It's east and west. We're all grown-ups here" are just elitist.

Who cares if it's left, east, or pudding. It's just a directional label.

Also the reason you WOULD use NSEW is because some games the map rotates as our characters view does and left becomes right. In SWTOR the map(mini or main) doesn't actually rotate as you move. Makes it pretty easy to know the left and right sides of the map when the map directions are constant.

  5. The other day I went with my guild to get the +10 Datacrons. I wasn't able to grapple to the last door. Each time Ii tried I hit the connection and the animation of me being pulled up was followed by me elastic banding back to my original position and taking dmg. i was the only person our of about 25 that wasn't able to reach the final door area.

I submitted a ticket and received a response from Bioware a couple days later. i'll paraphrase. "Sry dude... Hopefully a future patch might fix your issue. Gl with that."

This pretty much sums up the Bioware experience. Great game, very fun, buggy, and when you encounter a bug... gl with that.

    Anyone else have this issue?

  6. AFTER the main nerf on acid blade and stun duration operatives were the weakest class since ANYONE could kill them due to their squishiness and ALSO didnt do enough damage to kill someone else in time....

Now you added a stupid surge nerf so the damage goes down EEEVEEEEN MOAR so they will not be able to even kill a new lvl 50 without gear....

thank you bioware for being so intelligent as usual

    Dude...

I started a Op and played my first warzone at lvl 11. I was first place with 5 medals, over 125K dmg with 35 kills and 1 death...

So lemme understand this. You're saying they're the worst class?

  7. The reason ppl leave is because the WZs are about two things for ppl.

    1. Winning games and completing the Daily.

    2. Getting commendation and gearing up their fresh 50

Players in the #1 category most likely have some gear and are trying to complete a daily which means winning the match. They're not concerned with fighting 1v1 and are simply focused on running the ball, watching the plant, capping the point.

Players I see in the #2 category seem to rarely be objective based players. They are either so un-geared they're ant squishy or they seem to not have objective focus and fight 1v1 instead of running the ball, watching the plant, capping the point.

The funny thing is the #2 peeps don't seem to get if they simply worked more on being more like a #1 they're not only get commendations but also win games.

If you're not 100% focused on winning the objective you can expect the more experienced players to drop.

  8. You guys must not know... All the classes that beat you are OP.

Kidding aside snipers are harder to 1v1 but I can take most snipers. I think you're prolly running into a lot of ppl who forget they have interupts.

  9. A friend of mine had 0 pvp gear, and now he has 6 peices just after one day.

Lol. MAYBE if he completed all his daily and weekly quests in a day plus running enough WZs to gain a couple bags. Then he'd have around 10 bags which could possibly equal out to the 6 lowest cost centurion gear items... maybe...

    Doubtful.

  10. what about all the people that worked hard for their gear? you all do know that SWTOR is a business right? a game put in place for one thing, to make money from your subscriptions. they could care less if things are fair or if you spent 300 hours to do what some who spends less then 3 to get the same gear. they only care about keeping the subs going. another question is "if things are so bad why do you still play?" well, some like me expected more from a game that was in developement this long as well as being Star Wars. so for me for example I am here hoping it will change without impacting what I spent time to achieve. bottom line is Bioware could care less about any of you or your comments. unsubscribing is the way to make your point, something I think I am close to myself.

level 50 Sorc, Valor Rank 73. lots of time invested most likely for nothing.

    You're incorrect.

The company does want to make money, yes, but the way to do that isn't by pissing off thier customers. That's just stupid. Also, this is a clasasic case of a truly negative outlook. You played a game by a set of guidelines and aquired items. Those guideline have been adjusted. Be happy for those ppl that benefit. Why wouldn't you be?

It took you 300 hours to gear your PVP gear? 12.5 solid days? Let's say you played 5 hours every single day. It'd take you 60 days to get in that much play time. Cmon...

If you'd like to unsubscribe then DO IT! (I hate the hollow unsub threats)

Don't kid yourself. You're not going anywhere.

  11. I posted something simular to the OP about a week ago. It is VERY frustrating when you first ding 50 and go intio PVP but there's something to be said for werking for your rewards. It really doesn't takke that long to gear up and with every piece you get you'll feel your character becoming more powerful. Gear is a reward for playing and you get it faster if you're winning. That's just kinda how it goes man. Good luck!
  12. You're hilarious. You didn't have to work hard for your gear! If you're already fully geared then you must have had an easy time of it. Being that you were most likely one of the first ppl to be geared then your Exp. was higher than most ppls and you should have been facerolling peeps in WZs.

Also, it doesn't really take that long. I've been 50 for about a week now and I've almost got a full set of PVP purples. I'm pretty sure you're just upset that people will be harder to kill.

I lol at your huge QQ.
