  1. Reread my post. I'm a big fan of video game narratives. I've played enough toons to know it was a cluster **** prior to 4.0 Jedi guardian was my sweet spot. An actual reason to use taunts in solo pve. When I saw Kira heal tank I knew it was over. Bioware are wearing the metal bikini and EA is Jaba. Even in Dragon Age inquisition hard mode is easy in decent gear and a proper mix of companions. Is this ego stroking is a whole other thread. I'm asking if easy mode hurts the narrative by making the bad guy harmless, the environmental dangers harmless. But ya, me sa numb skool...
  2. This was meant to be about the lack of difficulty hurting the narrative. You tell me to dismiss a key character and run around in my underpants. I think I got my answer, yikes...
  3. I was doing what Mako would have wanted, it was foolhardy. Innocent lives were on the line, I was out of my element. It wasn't at all foolhardy, I wan't out of my element. I could just walk a b line to my objective. Buddy, do you RP getting damaged after walking into the fire. The lack of any consequence hurts the narrative. Even if it is just clicking your out of combat health regen and feeling sheepish. Don't worry I'm unsubbed and you can cake walk each chapter without my QQ
  4. I'm playing KoTFE and a moving pool of nope is blocking my path. The idea is don't stand in the fire, oops I did and what a shock it doesn't do much damage. This sums up my experience thus far. I was happy to resub after my free 7 days but the game has dropped in difficulty after 4.0 My big boss fight as a Jedi, one shot me. I had to be a better player to beat the game. Personally I'll give up if a games campaign has a weak story no matter how good the mechanics are. KoTFE, great story and amazing cinematography. But I'm not scared of that scary looking thing coming to kill me because I'll hit one button and win... tl;dr: Is 4.0 mind-numbingly casual to the point it hurts the story?
  5. The self healing tank is a joke, the tanking healer is a joke. Just give us a difficulty setting that gives us higher drop rates for gear that will be redundant this time next year. It was nice to have a game to play when I'm out of games to play, but the game is mind numbing now...
  6. Thanks for the info, I still think it's a scaling issue that couldn't be fixed. It is I win mode, to defend it is ludicrous.
  7. I've been tanking my way through the game, keeping my pocket healer safe and sound. Got sick of keeping us both in mods so 4.0 looked like a nice change. Just pulled half the map sat back and watched as my companion heal tanked. How did all the beta testers not prevent this?
