  1. That is good to know. Just part of the slow, begrudging, evolution of this game to live up to its own selling word, "consensual." Now, what to do about the game sticking PvE quests into PvP areas? I have, actually, not encountered this, yet. However, if it becomes a regular habit for quests on PvE servers, I think the game is sending its message loud and clear, to those adamant about a strictly PvE play-style, and that message is disdain.
  2. I've been out of this game for a while and just came back, but I thought they said they fixed this in a patch some time ago. Are we talking, here, only about what happens in a pvp area or can this still happen generally? You mean I still have to check my skills, gimp my companion, and be wary of cheap pking while on a rp-pve server?
  3. Yes, the buttery, yellow words of placation, so tasty, yet somehow unsatisfying. We will see in a few more weeks, I think, just how interested the Dev Team is in "solutions" to this problem which haunts their obscure radar.
  4. I was rather indifferent to the growing pile of these in my locker, but that point really got me thinking. It is ridiculous to think of my true blue Trooper hoofing all the way to the cross-market to feed the enemies stable. Those of us who rp this game can only look at these schematics as some kind of joke.
  5. At this point and time, with so many voices speaking out against this, Bioware's silence is either a sign of quiet duplicity (concerning the terms of PvE) or incompetence (with regard to customer relations). Please, Bioware, I don't like posting into threads either. I guess, you could say, we are both pretty shy. But, see, I did it, and it's not even my job. Did it for free. You can do it Bioware. Hands on the home keys like they taught you in school and type.
  6. The silence concerning this issue is deafening. If this is as it should be, than Bioware needs to rewrite the terms of the PvE servers. As it stands right now, the game promotes this: "Player vs. Environment (PvE) . . . you have the option to role-play as your character, and player- vs.- player fights must be agreed to by both sides." Now, I have to say, "must" is a pretty strong word for what actually exists in the game unless your companion tossing AoE on a stealthed, flagged player is a PvP agreement on PvE server?
  7. We get that. Throwing out noxious AoE into the forums is bad. Now, how about a response concerning the issue of the thread.
  8. According to a certain "Droid of Human-Cyborg Relations" who sent me an email concerning PvP issues, this is Bioware's Customer Service position: "If you would like the option of NOT automatically engaging in combat, you can opt to play on a PvE server, which will give you the OPTION of flagging yourself for PvP whenever you choose to engage members of the opposite faction." Now, from what I can gather from threads about this issue, players on PvE servers are, in fact, automatically being flagged for PvP due to AoE damage? Players on PvE servers are NOT being given the "option" to flag themselves, apart from running around gimped, or treating a PvE server as if it were potentially PvP? I am no longer amused by this issue, and consider myself bemused. Could we, pretty please, get an official response to the OP thread?
