  1. Hi Everyone! In the last week I have made two videos about a character named Boborino. He's just a blue collared Joe who got laid off from the Empire and is now trying to make ends meet. The tone is very tongue and cheek. The links to the episodes are below: Episode 1: Episode 2:
  2. It's been a couple of years since I played the game (this was before the KOTFE expansion.) I was just wondering what the current non-KOFTE ingame RP continuity is. From what I've seen some people acknowledge the events of KOFTE in their RP while others RP as if the Pubs and Imps are still at war. This can be a bit confusing. Where do most people stand when they RP? Pre-KOTFE or post-KOTFE?
  3. Indeed it was, Shadowdream! I would personaly like to thank everyone who showed up. The degree to which everyone committed to their roles was amazing! It brought a new depth to the game no developer could create (but I still love you, Bioware!) I think I will carry the memories of the evening with me for a while. Memories such as... The foreboding Darth Marcelius with whome I may have found my future master. Better watch out, buddy! Soon I will be taking your mantle as Darth. My fellow sorcerer Viera with whome I bumped into a couple of times but never in a role-playing situation. Your comments and body language were priceless! Baron, who shared my fustration with the jukebox, I wish I had more time to role-play with you one on one. I had a sense we were about to venture into comedic territory but those darn Sith Lords had to make the tone all serious And finally there was you, Korrwenten, who I think of as "The Belle of the Ball", only becasue you were the lone Jedi among a group of Empire associated characters. My hat goes off to you for managing the cascade of demanding questions sent your way. For all those that couldn't make it, this is what I have to say to you: DO IT YOURSELF. Now before that statement is interpreted as being smug, arrogant, or whatever, let me explain. When I say "do it yourself", I mean just do it. It's easy. All I did was set up a thread and travel around the galaxy spreading the word of event (in-game of course, although I wish that were literal.) Us role-players are out there, and if we can, we will show up. Kath Hound doesn't have an "RP" attached to it for nothing. Now that we have gone through the growing pains of learning the game's mechanics, I say it is time us role-players claim ownership of the server. So with that said I look forward to attending YOUR event.
  4. Hope you can make it and thanks for the advice!
  5. Alright, here we go! The official date, time and place is as follows: DATE: Saturday, January 14 TIME: 8:00PM EST/5:00PM PST PLACE: Nar Shaddaa, Slippery Slopes Cantina Hopefully this suites the majority of everyone's needs. Based on the most of the feedback I recieved, it should. If you are one of the few who feel left out, I aplogize, but don't fret! This certainly won't be the last of these events. For those of you who will be able to come, just a few rules you should be aware of: 1) Treat other players with respect. It's cool if you're (for example) a Sith Juggernaut and feel the need to (in character) insult the Jedi standing across from you. What isn't cool is actaully insulting the player who controls said Jedi. 2) Try to stay in character as best you can (this is a RP event after all!) If you need to break character for whatever reason, just make it clear that you are out of character. Simply stating OOC will do. 3) Have fun! Don't hold back with your character and let loose! Hit on that attractive Twi'leck at the bar! See if you can get intel from that agent in the corner! Get into a heated discussion about philosophy from someone on the opposing faction! With that said, I hope to see all of you there!
  6. Hi Viera! Huger respect to you for showing your support in this idea. I will try to keep your friends availability in mind when I announce the time and date (which is coming very soon!) Two games at once? You are a true RPer! I salute you! And thank you for bringing up channels. You raise a question I haven't even considered yet: in a large group setting, especially with two factions, what is the best way to communicate with eachother? I ask this becasue I'm admittingly new to MMOs in general. (Tonight I discovered /emote if can believe that.) I would just hate to have the Republic players conversing in one side of the room, and the Empire in the other. If you or anyone else has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them.
  7. Getting your ship is easier than you think. All you need to do is complete your class mission for your second planet and you're good to go! As far as creating an RP guild, the more the merrier! I'm counting on it, Cragg! BTW it was nice bumping into you on Nar Shaddaa (although I think we just waved to eachother.) We will definately have a real conversation when this thing gets started!
  8. A professor, you say? Having an academic among us will certainly be interesting!
  9. The idea excites me too! I look forward to meeting one of your characters!
  10. As many of you RP-minded players on the Kath Hound server might have noticed, the RP element is somewhat lacking. My idea to remedy this (as you might have guessed by the title of this thread) is to have a large get-together (in character, ofcourse) for all RPing players. I was thinking of someplace neutral where both factions could meet (i.e the Nar Shaddaa cantina). For all those interested, please state what would be the best date and time for you. From there maybe we can get something started.
  11. I enjoyed the first podcast and can't wait for more. Is the whole drinking thing going to be a staple of the show? For one podcast it would be interesting to hear you guys start three-four drinks in...or maybe that wouldn't be the best idea. Nevermind. Keep up the good work!
  12. A while ago I read somewhere that we can use our holocoms to communicate with friends (in a non-flashpoint situation). Is this true, and if so, how? This would bring a whole new dynamic to the game I wasn't even aware of.
  13. Keira, aka Darth Traya. She wasn't one demensional like most Sith. She saw value in both the light and dark side and in the end wanted to do away with the force altogether.
  14. I'm trying to customize my companion's appearence (Khem Val) with no success. Even if I change his armour, this isn't refelected in his appearence. Please help!
