  1. I thought your list was a joke post at first, then I realized you're serious.
  2. My Vanguard. Out in Balmorra, chasing off the Empire. It's the TH-15A Corpsman gear with the bonus missions reward chest/head. Gloves and pants bought from vendor. Belt on GM? I forget now. I like it because it looks so different from the regular white/color armor.
  3. Nice thread. I have a similar gaming history as the OP and a couple of the posters. Old head thread? I've played MMO's since UO and on the question of difficulty, I think they occupy a different space game wise. They're much more about the experience, the feel etc etc. Yes there are lots of challenges, tasks and goals to accomplish but it's really about the ride. How many MMO players clear all available content? Not many. I've already played more hours on TOR than almost any single player game I own, maybe Mass Effect is edging it out but not for long. So that represents huge value for money. My highest character is 34 with several alts close behind it. Looking forward to Hoth, after loving Tatooine I can't wait for a similar experience. No game for years has given me the impulse to play that TOR does. It's the early days of WoW all over again and I'm loving it. When I look at the community here, I'm repulsed by it. I maintain much of it is professional hate, but some is obviously your general twitchy immaturity and self centered know-it-all-ism. I play the game then come to the forums and do a massive ***. I don't know what game they're comparing TOR to (I've played the majority of competitors), I think it's an imaginary one in their head. I would caution Bioware to carefully parse the criticism threads, most are trolls. I think they know this. There are things I'm looking for from TOR. It has huge potential. Any design decisions being take right now should focus on expanding the game in a broad way, not just more flashpoints, planets and warzones. I hope they've made the right choices regarding space and ships, they could effectively double the experience. Also, deepen crafting, allow for greater social progression (SWG), and allowing for a player driven economy would really help create the feel of a living galaxy. But so far - bravo!
  4. Nonsense and excuse making. Bioware successfully minimized the kind of problems WoW suffered at launch. It represents a real improvement in player experience. When I see someone (not you) saying that ToR is on a par with what happened in WoW at launch and for years after, I'll call BS. I've PvP'ed with over 40 people in Tat, absolutely zero problems. Post again when a server is successfully crashed (deliberately) by the player base, something that happened repeatedly in WoW.
  5. Talking about servers. What complete and utter trash. Server stability, downtime, queues have been so massively improved with TOR compared to vanilla WoW. WoW suffered for years with emergency downtime etc etc. So far TOR has been a 100% improvement. I assert much of the "complaining" on this forum is deliberate trolling.
  6. I've played most mmo's including SWG and EVE, so I know a sandbox when I see it. I've found many different ways to level in TOR and have the freedom to complete quests on three different planets at the moment. That doesn't include pvp, space combat or flashpoints. Tatooine and Hoth are amazing. Beautiful and open and not corridor areas. For me they strike the perfect balance in terms of world design. I mean, I spent 45mins exploring Hoth and only discovered 2/3 of it on the map. Some of the earlier areas do hold the players hand and guide them more than the later ones, but I am sure that's a deliberate design choice to facilitate new mmo players into the genre. I think there is a lot of deliberate/professional hate on these forums, nitpicking and complaining on a scale I don't really understand given the overall quality of TOR. If you quit the game before reaching Tatooine or Hoth, more fool you.
  7. I think it's very very good. My only issue was waiting 4 hours for the servers to accept my cc sub.

  9. In a Q. Pos 188... Played today for the first time, and it's AWESOME! Ready to take my Jedi Knight off the starting planet.
  10. In the UK taxes are included in the retail price.
  11. God I hope the losers quit, seriously.
  12. Heh the Dubstep... it's like the US discovered dance music suddenly. I like it so far. Haters will hate, but this stream is nice if you can't play.
