  2. In all seriousness, making a game is very tedious, even for small games. The difficult part start on the planning stage, and it does not get any easier. What I hate the most is that when it gets too diffucult to be implemented, you need to go back to square one. And when you think it works fine, then there's like an apocalypse of bugs that will come out. It's brain-wrecking. You feel like your brain's going to do a BSOD any time. Yes, it might be a job you signed up for, but humans get errors, too. Computers get errors (a lot), so why not their makers? XD
  3. I'm also working, and I can only play for like.. 2-4 hours per week since I have work (and on some weeks I can't), and I have nothing against it. I just move on. I can play on consoles, or add more sleep time. There are tons of things available that I can do.
  4. Have you checked the Date / Time stamps on each post? It might be that it was updated/reposted or something I do not know. Because the posts are arranged by date/time...
  5. I can't verify if being female would mean that it's a generally nicer people... but a lot of my male friends are nice in person... but totally evil in game. I think it's a gaming attitude to be a sadist or something. Also, it has something to to with being raised as a kind and loving individual... that turned jaded as she turned 20.
  6. That would feel like a freak experiment that went out of control O_O
  7. I've heard quotes about "Flirting with Danger" and "A Date with Destiny". But my personal favorite? "I wish you were here!" Feel the cry of singles.
  8. I haven't had one yet... but it'd be "no-Okami" AmaterasuMikoto no-Okami... TsukuyomiMikoto no-Okami I know for some it does not make sense... but I'm fine with it anyway.
  9. Yup, Swiftsure. In game names are on my signature.
  10. Valentines Day = Single Awareness Day. It's been like that for me.
  11. Oddly enough, the annoying sound effects remind me of Ragnarok Online... where you see casting and buffing all around you in succession. Sometimes it overpowers even the background music (Which I love a lot). That, and the massive flood of chat. I'm also guilty of buffing random people. I think it's helpful... but I only buff them near dungeons or instance areas... In SWTOR's case, my character's level is low, so I don't think I have a buff skill yet.
  12. I know what you mean. But fortunately, I have some friends that play with me. I think it's because people are more focused on building their character than to make friends... but that takes away the community. I play the game because I want to explore the game and meet new people. It's enough for me that I could chat over general chat, but it's a plus for me if I can converse with them off the game (ie. forum).
  13. It looks nice, though the white overshadows the blue... Also, why not scan it? If you can scan it, you can edit the lightsabers to have something of a glow effect (in case you want that) and the circle with a glow effect (if you want that also).
  14. Your best bet is to go to a rest area and hope there would be nice players that would help you. In all honesty, I would help you on your quest if you requested just because I want to, but I don't have characters on the servers you mentioned. Also, let me clarify that this does not only happen in SWTOR, it also occured to me in most MMOs that I've played (Megaten, Dragonica, etc) and that made me go solo on most of my quest. I personally didn't like it, therefore if someone asks, I'd help out. It made me think that it has nothing to do with the game, it has something to do with the community.
  15. And I love the feeling of shooting purple-colored lightning from the tips of your fingers . It's like you're part of the history... the saga...
  16. Personally I'd go "Huh? Wha? Oh, thanks." since even if I know it's not that necessary, it's the thought that counts for me, even if it random. Oddly, I also find it sweet.
  17. Personally I don't see the point in making a thread to announce that you are quitting. What do you want to accomplish? You want to make a point? You want to make people follow you? It is a waste of space. You can tell your whole guild or circle of online friends about your quitting, but not the world because, as reality sucks, the vast majority of the world would not probably care because they will play the game whether or not you are there.
  18. I like the game's concept, and that it has shown much of star wars that can be compared to movies. I'm looking forward to its expansion and success. This is coming from a person who only plays 3-4 hours a week.
  19. Just turned 22 2 weeks ago And I play only for... 4 hours a week.
  20. OMG that's going to kill my friend's eyes... I would probably not be surprised if he has a character named "You". "You has been killed"
  21. Oddly, I remember Brandon Lee...
  22. And I think that WoW catered to pure gamers and fans of the game before it went MMO. SWTOR on the other hand... has both Star Wars fans and Gaming fans to cater, giving a larger gray area to fill in.
  23. It's not really a movie, but the live action of "Rurouni Kenshin" or "Samurai X" would be coming out... and I'm looking forward to that
  24. Hi there, I found this out through google: http://starwarzone.net/index.html/_/news-and-announcements/abbreviations-and-terms-mmo-and-star-wars-r11 Hope this helps
