  1. Something I've noticed lately, although somewhat off-topic: Alot of the time you'll click on a response, and what your character says is completely different (duh, anyone who's played this game for 5 mins knows that). BUT sometimes the NPC you're talking too will retort in a way that suggests that you said what you clicked on, NOT what your character actually ended up saying. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or noticed the same thing? It's just kinda weird. If I can think of an example later I'll post one.
  2. I personally think it shouldn't be allowed. I'm not an expert on this, but from what I understand these people have some program so that they control multiple computers with one keyboard? IMO, if you do this you should be required to be using the same number of keyboards as characters. Hitting one key to cast multiple spells just isn't right. That said, I don't know if BioWare would have any way of knowing whether people are using these 3rd party programs. Anyway, I guess if you're the one person in 10,000 who has the money and the desire to buy 3 games, 3 computers, and 3 subscriptions to do this (doesn't one shotting mobs while levelling get old?) then go for it. If they were a larger, more disruptive population I can see this possibly being addressed. But they're not.
  3. I have a Naga. I tried binding all of my abilities to the keypad on the side. I just don't see it ever being comfortable hitting those buttons while trying to coordinate the mouse. (For example: moving the mouse to the left while effectively "pushing" your mouse to the right by hitting the buttons.) What I did is bind the 1 and 2 keys on the Naga to modifiers(Shift and Alt). Now I have all of my abilities bound in easy reach on the keyboard and my modifiers are easier to reach than if I were keyboarding them. Feels like a waste not using all 17 keys but this setup has been working for me so far.
  4. Not only are all the models the same, but there doesn't appear to be a model for male/female children... therefore a female child simply has a scaled down adult female body... I don't think I need to explain why this is strange (there's a mission on Coruscant involving a female child and let's just say she doesn't look like a child developmentally).
  5. Yes. The same argument is used by people who think profanity should be allowed. "Turn on your profanity filter if you don't like it." That argument doesn't (and will never) work with regards to profanity. Telling people to turn off general chat just to avoid griefers doesn't make sense either.
  6. If somebody clearly did it with the intent of spoiling for others, I would be shocked if Bioware didn't take punitive action. Did you report it? RP server or not, this is a clear example of griefing.
  7. I don't remember the exact dialogue, but you can call Milo Phipps "fatso" on Ord Mantel, lol!
  8. I did it at level 26 with Corso. Failed like 5 or 6 times. Then I followed the advice here and pulled Diago onto the bridge after his stun wore off. Didn't have much of a plan. Diago has a lot of health but he really does almost nothing for damage. I had corso tank and healed him a few times (I'm a scoundrel of course). Even if you miss interrupting a few of Diago's heals it's not a big deal. The sith is cake after that.
  9. So I've been leveling my smuggler scoundrel as a clicker/keyboard turner. I realise that to compete in PvP I'll need to have keybindings, I've just been too lazy to set em up since I've only been solo questing so far anyway. I did a little bit of keybinding in WoW, but I'm trying to do it the "right" way this time. My question is about Taugrim's keybind guide, which I've found very helpful: http://taugrim.com/2011/04/07/guide-to-strafing-movement-and-keybindings/ An interesting part of his advice is actually to not bind forward movement to a key, but rather press both mouse buttons to move forward. The only annoying part about that is that I can no longer move the camera around my character while I'm moving. For example, positioning the camera so that I can look behind my character (using right click)while I move forward with W. I feel like there are times where moving in one direction and facing the camera in another direcion is advantageous. Is this going to hurt me at all as far as gameplay or is it a newb habit that I'll eventually discover was never useful?
