  1. But dont' you miss goign to kill the king in Ironforge or getting lost in Undercity as a level 30 just because you followed the big crowd? Yeah, you'll never see anything like that here, can't assault the enemy fleet, can't attack the enemy capital, etc, etc. And unless you like going out of your way to find people, the crossover questing areas are few and far between leading to almost no interaction. Worse, all the enemy NPCs are in your questing zone while friendly NPCs are in their zone.
  2. As with other things in this game... Tooltip/description != real performance. As a trooper, above all, you should know this to be true. And I'm jsut saying someone posted that, so it may be worth going to read about.
  3. Anyone can lock down a commando healer, but its unlikely you can finish them. Taking them out of the fight should be enough. And if a healer can't heal themself through 1 DPS, then what is their use? Right now, commando/mercs can be easily killed, whereas before they had tools and abilities to intelligently use and survive (all of which were removed in 1.2.0, and none returned but a bug fix in 1.2.1)

  5. Someone posted about excess accuracy converting to armor pen, never saw if it got confirmed or disproved. This game has so much funny business with stats that assuming things are straightforward like WoW will lead to poor assumptions.
  6. Plasma cell's effect gives a snare. Kite a marauder all day with that and kill him with instants.

    Why no Arena PvP?

    2v2 and 4v4 matches. Small arenas, deathmatch style. Why not in game yet?!
  8. You can handle talking fish but not a talking beaver? Okayokay, guss is pretty freakin awesome. And then you can't handle a werewolf, but you're okay with an octopus-head? Just because it has star wars in the title doesn't make it ANY DIFFERENT from other MMOs. Therefore, why shouldn't we hold this one to the same expectations as others? For instance, faction specific bugs, sweeping class changes without community input or testing, terrible crafting, poor server management.... and the list goes on. These are things that rest on the head of the dev team, and you can tell that many people unsubbing would like to see heads roll.
  9. Gunnery is excellent once you get Grav Round, everything builds off of that and it gets better. Move 30m away, park and blast em Assault is pretty good, but doesn't mesh as well in questing due to the DoT nature of it. Great for PvP though due to mobility.
  10. Could someone be so kind as to link the Dev Post about No Server Merges? Haven't had luck finding it myself, except for the statement that "transfers are possible" which reads to the pessimist in me as "we'll have flying pigs ingame soon"
  11. Because it should be easy. And BW loves the easy road (healer nerfs). And furthermore, maybe it isn't intended for world PvP (that exists? wish I'd seen it) nor for leveling, but instead to give certain groups the option of a higher challenge jsut for bragging rights. Make something like NightmarePlus
  12. Right now, NM mode would be NM (designed). Then the really elite folks can get bragging right by upping the challenge by going to NM (ludicrous speed). And other poster: no additional rewards! Only bragging rights.

Say there is an option in your preferences for automatically scaling your character to content, such as: Easy -------------------- Normal (Design) --------------- Difficult ------------------ Burn cooldowns on everything Have this slider affect your stats and cooldown timers (thus no changing environment). This way you can pick how tough the game is for you, folks can opt in for the ridiculous challenges. The result? You have to try harder on everything and you can claim to be better on the internet. Nothing more. What do you all think?

  16. When you have limited number of voices (small dev team focusing on the class balance portion of game) then how can you possibly have no bias? What if you have individuals who are thoroughly invested in multiple classes/specs reporting issues with one and asking for nerfs to another? (example: almost all healers asking for scoundrel buff, sorc nerf, Comm AoE buff) What about what we have now where we have NO appointed voices? Right now we have a thousand loud mouth biased fools, but if we have a few then they'd be held to a higher standard.
  17. Between 150 and 200 million dollars. Real answer: Zero. I will not pay to have data copied from point A to point B. This is the age of computers and transfers do not require time nor effort and therefore should be free.

Investigation is good for 2 things: Armstech supplies (only consumer of inv mats) Schematics Secondary stat augments (crit, acc, surge, etc) Armstech is currently the least useful (by a vast margin) crew skill. You cannot sell inv mats on GTN because of it. Schematics can be found elsewhere, or at least no published list of what skill gets what new schematics afaik. Main stat is typically better in all cases than secondary stat, so augments are out. Otherwise, investigation is terrible.

    Turn Ilum into AV

    Simple as that. Do what WoW did for Alterac Valley and make Ilum into that. have ~24 people queue up on each side and have to fight through a LIVING map. Right now, there's nothing out there but a barren wasteland and walkers stomping in place and shooting past eachother. Put in more and the best result would be an Alterac Valley ripoff.
  20. It would be nice if we could find one we like and stick with it through all the end-game upgrades. You know, the whole custom shell and mod system they implemented? It could almost work...
  21. I added a point 6 while you were typing. Anyways, that's my first and most important point you're making. We need to know what/when/how/where, it's a matter of money.
  22. These are the reasons which may get me to return to this pretty good, but presently frustrating game. Some folks may agree, but I bet their subs ran out sometime last week. 1) A definitive outline of server merges. Schedules, prices (free transfers), name-changes, guild-related stuff, etc. "This is a top priority" is not enough. It's like hearing from a gov't guy in a suit telling you its being handled by "top men" and then seeing the devs wheeling another good idea into the storage warehouse. 2) Community input on class changes. There is a HUGE resource available, certain excellent community members who could contribute more to specific issues and subjects. Moreover, they're free. Lack of dialogue with the community about intended course of a class, future alterations, and, worst of all, "invisible" metrics used to design class performance. 3) Faction balance. There are still faction specific bugs that don't affect the mirror. 4) Improved PvP. This was supposed to be done already. Rankings, rateds, 8-man queues. Also, we NEED a dueling zone on fleet. Please add the option to waste time while waiting in WZ queues. 5) Increased alt leveling speed. I've made two repub alts, why should I have to spend the same time on the same planets to get another? The stories and gameplay do-not-change except for some occasionally witty dialogue (smuggler) and truly difficult choices (A-77) in class quests. 6) Viable crafting. Any item should be made into a custom shell so someone can make it and I can wear it. Make it so that I can go out, get the random item "Trade+RE" it with a crafter and have them make it for me. Then adjust those... all of 4*4*2*3... 96 armorings in the game for their set bonuses so that they can transfer already. Do the legwork for christ sakes, it'll pay off!
