I know this is necro-ing an old thread but I just introduce this game to a bunch of new people and we're doing the "guided tour" of every single expansion. We did this last night in two groups and all of us were also scratching our heads. We chose to kill the stupid captain but were nice to the crew b/c they were scared. Then suddenly the droid claims there is an "incident' and he wiped everyone out. None of us understood why.

hey there; returning player. I'm a Sith Assassin/Inquisitor tank who wants to find a guild to get OPs done. I never had a chance to do most of them in anything other than story mode and would really like to actually do them all --and find a new community to be a part of. My main is "Daedriq" on Satele Shan and I'm currently guildless. My main is geared out but I haven't really played since early 2020.

oh also, to the OP's assertion.. So far, i've had SOME trouble in instances with AoE threat, but mostly because this game so far seems to have a preference for giving us big packs of ranged mobs that are really spread out. That seems more or less the issue than anything else. Frankly though; those ranged packs are usually non-elites so its not that big of a deal. The boss fights with add packs can be hairy but I always tell groups to ignore the adds and focus the boss until i give the word that its okay to attack adds. i usually have my healer stand behind or next to me.

I'm level 26; I got pissed off last night while dying on a quest mob because (surprise) Quinn's healing is awful. 1) Either greatly increase the amount of healing Quinn does (since leveling as a tank to learn it should be allowed) or 2) (MY PREFERRED OPTION) I'm a freakin tank. I should NOT be getting killed by elites; I should be able to stand my ground with them and wear them down with my crap DPS, even if it takes a few CDs. As a tank I understand my dps will be ****; but my HP/Armor/Survivabililty should always be high enough that a matching level elite doesn't destroy me in a few hits as they do now. or 3) (not likely but consider it) -- UP my DPS.
