  1. It's obnoxious that they can leave the game in its current state without a word regarding their plans for resolving this issue.
  2. I'll give you that, it's just that we have a really active raiding guild and these guys should fit right in.
  3. Pay no attention to this guy. Ascension is the largest pub guild on Pot5, very active, and we have three raid teams currently. One of our teams could probably use some people, and our raid times are Friday/Saturday at the exact time you're available. Feel free to message us in game. Whisper or message Ghinzu, Serratous, Wiffle, or T'enelia, or if you want, just find us tonight at 8 pm central.
  4. Ascension will be hosting a GSF night on Wednesday July 6th at 9:00 pm eastern time (8:00 pm central time). The purpose of this night is solely to get our 5 GSF matches in for the Dark vs. Light event. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of faction. Feel free to ask us if you want to group up, or just queue solo at 9 pm.

  6. Meh most of them will /gquit, never play that character, or delete that character. You have to go for quality over quantity.
  7. +1 to this. You gambled and you lost. Keep buying the packs, they'll gladly keep taking your money to rip you off.
  8. Ascension is still very active on pub side. Several raid teams and lots of pvp grouping. We have 20+ online every night. If you need an invite whisper or send in game mail to Wiffle or Ghinzu, or really just find any member. Good luck!
  9. "But Grandpa I thought the dark side was stronger... There's some girl that won't stop beating my up in the woods, NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME! [door slam]"
  10. Eric Musco: "Hey there's a petition going around to make packs more worthwhile. Players will purchase fewer cartel coins but they'll get more value for their money!" EA: "Get out, you're fired." Seriously, they don't care about your petition, they just care about your money. Stop buying, that's the only way to get them to change the packs.
  11. Not knocking you personally OP, but people really need to realize that the only way the cartel packs will change is if people stop buying them. Bioware doesn't care that someone feels ripped off, so long as the money keeps coming in.
  12. If you want a playable experience you really need a dedicated graphics card if you go the laptop route. I don't think a chromebook is a good option if you plan to play this game. That said I really wouldn't recommend going the laptop route at all. You get way more performance per dollar if you build a desktop.
  13. Yeah we've got people out of the country. We're not abandoning them to a dead server. Come up with a more permanent solution please. Really though, I appreciate the advance notice this time. It's just not the right solution for us.
  14. +1, can confirm. Nothing gets someone kicked from our raid teams, and guild for that matter, than someone who acts like a massive tool.
  15. The only actor that I have heard doesn't like Star Wars so much was Alec Guiness, who played Obi-wan Kenobi in the original trilogy.
  16. I read that Jake Lloyd (Episode I Anakin) liked playing this game a lot. He's in prison now, so I doubt he still plays.
  17. People still being surprised by this astounds me. The last several packs have been this way, and by continuing to buy them you are further encouraging them to include crappy drop rates in their packs. If you want this to change you must STOP BUYING PACKS! Show some self control.
  18. I agree that the cartel certificates should be removed from game if they will no longer be dropping. However, I understand that this must be a hard change to make, mostly because people spent real life money on cartel packs that netted these certificates. It's not something that they can just take away, so I think it'd be better to just allow the items purchased with them to be acquired for comms, credits, or other in game currency. This comes from someone sitting on a pile of certificates too btw. I wouldn't want my stock to become worthless, but I don't like items like Twi'lek Dancers stuck behind an outdated currency wall.
  19. "Rip them off from doing pug"..... Not really sure what that even means. As for forcing, no one is forcing, but if you want to do that level of content there's no better way. You're expectations that players would succeed at clearing hard and nightmare content in pugs without first checking achievements, parse, gear, etc. is ridiculous. Why should people waste their time running an operation they won't clear because someone can't handle the mechanics or only does 2k dps? If someone starts forming a group for hard or nightmare operations it is THEIR RIGHT to choose who they want to run with. There is no obligation to take someone to "let them try it out".
  20. If you really want to clear HM/NiM mode operations content you shouldn't be pugging it. You need to find yourself a PVE guild that runs this sort of content. Most guilds are willing to help you improve and/or gear up. Pugging IS NOT the way to go about getting those acheivements or gear.
