  1. For the millionth time that is the dumbest argument I've heard, especially for a story driven MMO. You are probably playing completely wrong game, if you dislike PVE so much. They've added PVP requirements to PVE related things in past MMOs, for example Legendary cloak in past World of Warcraft expansion, where having the cloak was pretty much mandatory. People who absolutely hated and were bad at PVP were forced to PVP. It only lead to both parties being even more infuriated during matches. It has been done before and it doesn't work. I've managed to do 7 out of my 20 WZs so far, each time I queue in it is a flame war in the comment section. People calling each other names or complaining about "OP healers". I want my PVE companion, but doing PVP to get it makes no sense. Besides the PVP in this game isn't very good to begin with. It rarely is in MMOs.
  2. I think this whole thing is really stupid. PVP players who complain about having to do "PVE" or story related stuff, seriously? Why would you even be playing this game if you have no interest in it? There are far better games out there for PVP than this. If you don't enjoy the class storylines or the stories in general (which are the only things this MMO does better than pretty much any other MMO) why the hell are you even playing this game? I hate this PVP requirement for Pierce, I can't stand it, if it was 5 or even 10, that'd be somewhat more acceptable, but 20? Huoh, the people on Warzones are some of the more toxic people I've run into in awhile. That says a lot when coming from someone who plays World of Tanks on EU servers, MOBAs and has played World of Warcraft. Give all comps a way to obtain them via PVP for all I care, just give me an option to do it another way that doesn't involve it.
  3. It does certainly feel like your comps are stronger than you are, which is rather silly. Senya is able to hold off against Vailyn just fine, Lana/Koth are able to deal with Arcann with minimum effort, while PC just gets their *** handed to them. Seems pointless for them to go to such trouble to get PC freed. In terms of gameplay and story, I've never felt so useless while playing my characters.
  4. I do feel like my awesome Sith Inquisitor is bit too weak in this expansion, both in terms of gameplay and story. I spoiled myself about what's going to happen with the fight against Arcann, got to that point and couldn't make up my mind. No matter what I choose, I'd get a result that I wasn't happy with, so I just disconnected. Through the whole of expansion, the dialogue options haven't really felt like the character I played through past 60 levels on. Also, if I wanted to get tossed around by force users like a piece of furniture, I'd play more on my trooper or agent. Arcann feels like a boring *** character overall, I didn't mind being beaten by Emperor or any other proper character. Arcann just feels like SWTOR's version of Kai Leng. Dull, confusing emo force user with serious daddy issues I like the story overall though, if it was a completely new game and I wasn't playing the chars I had been playing for past 60 levels, I'd love it. Currently the story doesn't fit my characters in any way.
  5. As an avid PVP player in many other MMOs and a former Mythic level raider in WoW, the two main reasons I even activate my SWTOR subscription now and then is to experience the story and the Star Wars universe. I was one of the first to ding 50 during the game's initial launch on my own server, previously I had been the main tank and often an officer in some hardcore raiding guilds, so I understood raiding/ops rather well. When I hit 50 in SWTOR, none of that stuff compared to what I had previously experienced. PVP was fun for while and I did really well in it, but in the long term it didn't seem to offer me anything new when comparing to random battlegrounds and later rated battlegrounds in WoW. I play this game for the leveling / story experience, I play it to live my "Star Wars fantasy". If I wasn't doing those, I'd probably have very little interest in the game overall. The competitors tend to do those aspects better. But nowadays when the communities are getting more unpleasant in any game I've played. Whether it is online shooters, MMORPGs, MOBAs or RTS, I find myself logging onto SWTOR more and more, just to experience the storylines by myself. The game is quite an odd ball for me, I doubt there'd be this amount of customization or different storylines if the game had been KOTOR 3. It'd be more indepth version of one of the class storylines, quite a bit longer, but I doubt thered be that much replay value. I like the fact that I can at one minute be playing a loyal elite Trooper of the Republic and the next I can be a member of the Dark Council. There's bit of everything for a fan of a good story. I recently had a friend who switched from WoW to SWTOR to do PVP. He hadnt played much in the past outside of Warzones and kept skipping every cutscene and fast forwarding every piece of dialogue. I don't think a player like that will get much out of SWTOR. They are missing the main point behind the game.
  6. The game is incredibly dull, unless you enjoy starting new character each time you reach level 50, which is not what I am looking for in an MMO. I choose one character which I play for long time and maybe have another one on the side for alternative play style later. The PVE is not what it was said to be. I remember them being all "Haaahaaa other games have these fights with many heroes against one enemy, it's not very heroic!" and look how their operations are.. PVP and story were only things keeping me interested and now both have ran out of "juice". I think it's time to look for something else, sad really, I already lost interest in Mass Effect 3 about six months ago. No more games from BioWare for me, I guess.
  7. Barely geared Operative jumping on me ( full champion's geared Immortal Juggernaut) and dropping me down to 40% in that knockdown, is not fine. The damage needs some serious toning down. The knockdown itself I don't care for one bit, but the damage is just too ridiculous. Even if the class relies strongly on the burst, it needs to go. Give them other ways to deal damage or something, I don't care, but kind of burst isn't fine.

    So sick of Huttball

The Repub storylines, in my opinion, don't start as fast as the Imp ones. I've played SW to 50, before that I tried JK, JC and Trooper. The SW was only one that hooked me up, but I gave trooper second chance and it was pretty awesome, but I had to drop out before level 20, due to general dislike of the feel and look of Republic. I'd say play the classes to level 20ish and then decide.
  9. The cross server changes wouldn't really fit storywise. Though when remembering Huttball, the Empire vs Empire wouldn't be too big of a stretch I guess. As long as they don't start queueing people from different servers together, I am game. That thing should never happen, since it's total crap.
  10. Operatives need more nerfing, not unnerfing. Far too high burst.
  11. Lol, but that logic anyone with pushback effect can deal over 12k dmg. It's situational and it's fine. And it's a lot of fun to do!

    PVP Bags are trash.

This. Some people are just too numb headed to understand. And hardmodes? Seriously? The Flashpoints in SWTOR are far too boring, even for guy like me who somehow managed to enjoy instances in WoW during the olden days and even afterwards. They're far too mind numbing in this game.

    Fanbois will be fanbois.

Yeah, it is rather bad got four implant tokens out of four bags that gave me more than commendations. It's such a waste to grind for something and possibly get close to no rewards for it. I'd understand the item drops more, if you'd still get the same amount of commendations for each bag. Losing commendations for items that you have no use for is pure stupidity.
  15. Eh? You can have as many of the tokens as you like. Yeah, I agree. I spent few days playing with group of people, it was fun for while. But in the end the lack of rewards and the lack of other things to do begins to take it's toll. PVP was the only thing that was interesting for me during leveling, after the story that is which was great. After you reach the end of the story and get into end game, it quickly loses it's touch. And don't bring in "Lawl duuude most of the guys aren't even level 50 yet!" So what? I am not planning on raiding, the flashpoints during leveling were far too boring, even when comparing to WoW's instances. PVP wouldn't get much better with more level 50s. I don't mind if there are level 20 s in the mix, I enjoy smacking them down just as much as I enjoy beating level 50s.
