  1. I don't comment on here often but... I've found my favorite opener is Backstab >> Volatile >> Debilitate >> Veiled, Lac x2... i use it b.c most people know not to break your first hard stun so it gives you a free Veiled and Lacx2 that stack on your auto crit Volatile. i can usually get any toon below 30% as long as they aren't tank/heals with hots rolling. Obviously for group ranked that's out the window, but it works well in Yolo's, too (unless you're timing your stuns, in which case ignore the debilitate).
  2. He's on a pvp server...*** are all these carebears coming from?
  3. I'm lookin' for a casual guild primarily 18+, that i can mostly pvp with (but im not opposed to raiding either). I've been playing since launch and have a capped PT, Mara, and sin. I like long walks on the beach and watching the sun set.
  4. just looking for a little advice here: I primarily PVE tanked with this toon before i shelved it, and was always a fan of AP for both pve and pvp. Recently, I've read on forums that it's beneficial to run Ion cyl while in a full AP spec...is this ever not the case? Do you run with a shield or a generator? Will 2.4 change it as far as we can see? Just curious as to what some more experienced PT Deeps have to say about it.
  5. If you want to be primarily heals and off dps scound is fine, if you want to be primarily dps and sometimes heal i'd go with sage.
  6. In order to shield you need to be wearing a shield (which we can't) and in order to absorb something you need to have a shield chance of higher than 0 (which you wont not wearing a shield). If you really wanted to you could stack defense augs but that would just make you not hit as hard and still die really quickly.
  7. I'm semi-hijacking this thread since for whatever reason i can't title the forum post i want to make...soooo, is it still worthwhile to tank spec with dps gear? with or without a shield?
  8. You can either stack medpacks/adrenals and sell them to make money or you can convert to planetary comms for mods. Make sure you have 99 planetary comms by the time you hit 50 (you can fully mod armor and weap/offhand with optimized 58's from the makeb vendor for 154.) That will be better than non-optimized partisan, which you can either work towards once you hit 55, or just skip and go straight for conq. You should have no problem maxing your wz and rwz comms between 40-55, even with the extra 55 planetary comms you need for makeb 58's. That's what i usually do, anyways, and it allows me to grab the conq implants and ear or the relics and ear right at 55 (since ears, implants, and relics don't require a parti shell to buy) and still be better geared than most casual players until i can get conq.
  9. ur rotation is so broken i just hit my cat in the face.
  10. If you are PvP oriented and in the US go to either Bastion or PoT5, whichever gives you better ping.
  11. Just no. Don't bring EVE into this. See Red Alliance vs BoB, See Goonswarm vs TEST. See a completely different game. 1 the OWPVP in that game has developed over 10 years, it has no relation to SWTOR. Keep your posts relevant. in game VOIP would do nothing except annoy people, this isn't CS 1.4 or CSS, people like to chose who they talk to.
  12. it took me until page three to realize that the way you spell isn't trolling.

  14. yes i meant form, and thank you for the clarification for those who gave it!
  15. So I'm marathon watching seasons 3-5 right now and i cannot tell what Anakin's stance is supposed to be? Does any forum prowling loremaster have the answer? Does he switch between stances or use one in particular?
  16. If you are going to go for pure pvp, roll a toon on Bastion or PoT5.
  17. I am curious as to whether or not any PVP DPS scoundrels have made a switch from scrapper to DF, post crit-nerf. I rolled a scoundrel to lolcrit in the scrapper tree pre 2.0, and since RoTHC have found it to be, even with the alacrity buff, not capable of putting out the burst needed to reliably drop anybody. The only downside i've found with DF is the build time required to get to your burst phase. I know that there are some die hard scrapper cats out there who are clinging to the hope that Bioware will fix the AC for DPS but until that happens, it's a broken tree IMO (especially with the energy management troubles scrappers now have due their lack of semi-guaranteed auto-crit burst opener) . Given this, I've come to the conclusion that rolling a scrapper gives you terrible energy management, making it difficult to drop any decent player with good defensive CD's, and gives you unreliable burst (considering peels, heals and guards and lower crit). DF gives you range, healer pressure (albeit softer than other AC's), same off-heals, greater burst potential, but a crappy build phase before you can get there. Is there any reason to even attempt to roll a scrapper at this point? Your thoughts? I'm not interested in healing btw, this is not a thread to discuss "why don't you go roflhealroll...," It's here for the DPS scoundrels' input
