  1. According to you we should just leave the game as it is? We shouldn't complain about it or say things we want to be added on the off chance that Bioware hears and implements it? If you don't speak up nothing will be changed. QQing is not the way to go, yes, but nothing wrong with sharing ideas. I also don't see why you're such an ******e who thinks his opinion is so much more holy than anyone else's.
  2. What you want is SWG v.2. I played SWG for a few years until it went badly downhill. I'd love to see these features in TOR, but the fact of the matter is it is a different forumlae. One day though, we will have another great sandbox MMO.
  3. I'm having fun. Haven't levelled my smuggler completely yet (stuck on 40), but I've gone from having a blast, listening to all the dialogue, playing for 3/4 hours a night, to maybe playing an average of 2 hours a night (if I play at all). Yet, I'm still holding out hope that they will perhaps in 6 months/ 1 year try to add in elements that I loved about SWG. I really do think that perhaps it could work in this game.
  4. I'd like to add a little to that if I may. Totally use tons of abilities. My normal attack method is to use (bear with me here...some of the names of everything have eluded me) 1. Skill that ups the crit chance on charged burst 2. A charged burst 3. Leg shot 4. Charged burst 5. speed shot 6. aimed shot 7. speed shot 8. charged burst 9. almost out of energy so throw a flash grenade or if close enough a "nut shot" 10. If you have enough energy throw in a headshot 11. when still stunned (if stunned or used headshot) use the hunker down(?) to recharge your energy 12. aimed shot 13. speed shot 14. the skill that you can only use at below 30% health to finish them off Seems like a bunch of changing but you get in a routine and is very good at almost maximising damage/time ratio against elite bosses, higher leveled pvpers. The gunslinger class is definately one of the more complex to get the hang of and doesn't seem to really kick off damage wise until about 35+ to me, but when it does and you figure it out, it can be really effective. It IS squishy as hell sometiems, but there are a fair few abilities that can slow./stop your enemy enough for you to retreat, get into cover, and lay on another shot or two, or spam a few quickshots/vital shots.
  5. I've found a look I like, and acquired it all in orange so I'm good. However, I did notice that everything higher level is a cape or dress type thing. I'm a Smuggler...not Batman.
  6. First. You're comparing a country's capitol city to Phoenix. Second. A dozen eggs does not cost £5.28 anywhere in England. I can get a dozen eggs for about £2. Third. Regarding OP...suck it up. Your lack of understanding of taxes, zonal server costs, and your tirade against the smallest of indifference does not mean people are ripping you off. If I buy Lucky Charms here in England it's going to cost me about £6 per box minimum, compared to what...$2 in America. Know why? It's an import. So is TOR. They have to cover costs of shipping etc. You like half of these whiners on the forums have a total feeling of self entitlement that is totally bewildering. Do you think they are making TOR just for you to have fun? No. They want to make money. To make money you have to cover your costs.
  7. Yeah I would agree with you..until today that is. I ran 3 flashpoints in a row with the same group. I got NOTHING from the first 2 goes through. Most things I couldn't use, and the couple I could use I lost out to the other person who needed it. So the 3rd flashpoint comes. Some heavy armour is up and I'm like..**** it...I'm going to need it for my companion because he's quite under armoured and I think I deserve something out of it. I needed it. Won. Instantly get whiney little kids crying to me that I was ninja looting, yadda yadda. This is when I decided I'm going to make my own decisions on what loot I want or not. Because your choices are either get left with nothing, or get flamed for getting something because someone else got nothing.
  8. I'd like to first start off by saying I am thoroughly enjoying this game. I am in a guild with 25+ people and we have formed a nice mini community where everyone is helping out. Almost all of the game mechanics I have come across I have been pleased with (almost!) and am going to enjoy watching this game hopefully grow! However, as many have noticed and pointed out, the game world just kind of feels....empty. I'll be lucky to come across 1-2 an hour (not applicable is the Republic Fleet, which is always bustling when ever I go. Even seen a few good RP set pieces which I enjoyed). Having played a few other MMO's, even dying MMO's like SWG, I never felt as alone in the game world. I do realize though, that during levelling in any MMO, that you generally won't come across many other while questing. But, in all those other MMO's I have never felt as "alone" as I am in this game. If it weren't for my guild I would truly feel as if I was playing a single player/co-op RPG. Anyways, with my personal view out of the way I'd like to bring up my real reason for posting a topic that has been whined about countless times. What can REALISTICALLY be done about it? Blending of Servers? Removal/reduction of shards? Higher NPC population with more unique set pieces? Also, what effects will that have with on game preformance? Will it even be possible to improve on the 'issue'? I hope this thread doesn't come off as just another unhappy guy whining, because that was not my aim. I just would like to hear your opinions about fixes, and even if you think this is a problem at all. -Dyltreeno -The Most ****** smuggler in the whole of my ship
  9. I'd say it is pretty realistic. I have this problem IRL too.
  10. It's like the Christian fundamentalist preacher of the video game world
