My Concealment Operative/Scrapper Scoundrel were my favorite classes in pvp pre 3.0. Since then owing to the changes made it does not feel anywhere as good to play. Its not just a matter of the burst been taken away with the loss of back stab following hidden strike and the second application of acid blade.( which is a good deal of the problem).Its the awful delay in the damage from volatile substance allowing people time to pop defenses. Its the way that without taking root on HS over a much better defensive option enemies just run away.
Well to sum it up, As an Operative I used to be squishy and easily focused down by two players or one good one. The tradeoff was if I caught someone alone I had enough damage upfront to pressure players and beat them if I got the jump/outplayed them. The way it is now with all the defensive buffs in 3.0 I find I am not able to create that pressure and surprise people anymore.
I would like to know if anyone else has found it like this with Operatives in PVP? Or what has your experience been if different to mine?
Ive never been a fotm roller but Ive resorted to dusting off my PT. I really have no idea what BW were thinking with making HS and BS the same ability but its a killer to concealment. And with Concealment been the class based around the stealth attack why would they give lethality the improved HS?
Anyway please share your thoughts.
