Stuck in mostly green gear, was hoping to get a set of blue gear from heroics like I have been doing on occasion. I'm still doing my story/class quests.. Was hoping to pvp soon too. I just have to buy stuff from gtn now? I read u have to complete some expansion before you can unlock the boxes No idea why the boxes are rewarded to me if I can't open them yet.

k, I heavily modified my keybindings thanks to many replies here. Using mouse to steer has been a pain when I stun and need to backstab, but getting better at it. Steering while map is open can't be done with right mouse click it seems. I have shift a/d to turn with map open tho, a work around. Also just started looking into making macros with my naga mouse. It's over my head so far, but if I can figure that out it will be of great help

Reasons not to pick option 3 I guess. Just having some fun, only a few things bring out the grammar nazi in me and that was one of them. I'm quite sure one can find all sorts of mistakes in my posts. On a more serious note, I'm often surprised at what comes out of the character's mouth. Quite different than what I selected on the wheel. Anyone know why they didn't make the characters say what's actually on the wheel? They think it would be redundant, or wanting to surprise the player?

yea, I started reading and that actually helps. Slows me killing baddies down tho lol. Sort of annoying, rather just look at what it gives like the older days. I'm a returning player from long ago. I move forward with w key. Guess I should get more in the habit of right/left clicking to move forward. I move cam with right button much of the time, but not always. But as far as strifing or moving backwards rely on keyboard. Well, sometimes strife with keyboard. Yes, I am still trying to figure out if applying buffs as much as I am is actually making the fights last longer than it would unbuffed. Part of the reason is to practice for tougher fights ahead. Trying to get rotation automatic in my mind, so I don't have to stare at the icons and remember what keys do what. Thanks for letting me know your layout. If the game allows middle mouse button to be use, that is something I need to consider and haven't really so far. Double click binds work with this game? Haven't tried that yet. Was playing another game and double click binds helped A LOT. Figured binding stuff to q and e would mess up strifing. Need to get better with mouse movement maybe. It's sort of hard to be holding down right click, while moving my thumb around on my little side buttons. Makes me mess up more. I use a razer naga mouse with 12 side buttons. You have s mapped to a combat ability? How do you move backwards? Or do u have it mapped, s-right or left click? Haven't thought of that yet.

I plan on making many characters, this game is rather alt friendly. Am I missing out on anything by just making human characters? I'm not sure how important achievements are. Most seems like fluff, but some reward cartel coins or maybe light/dark points? I don't know if you have unlocks in terms of gear based on achievements. I'm guessing there are achievements for different species. I am in the process of making an alt, main purpose to gather, so, considering making a twilek, but still prefer human looks. If I am not missing out on much of anything, let me know, going to just make human. Wish they had ewok, wookie, or whatever yoda's species is. Being a rancor might be fun haha.

I read this is a display glitch. My question is, am I messing up my character who is seeking to be lightside with darkside points? Can darkside points be easily removed somehow? Or should I ditch diplo? This character (my main) is a biochem. Also, diplo seems pricey. Can I break even with the stuff I get? Selling gtm as an example? Admittedly, I haven't done much market research, prefer killing stuff, much funner. Thank you for your time.

Another issue I'm having, is with moving mobs. I have starting buff abilities that require me to use alt-number keys (as I currently have mapped of course), while moving. awkward in those situations. hate sacrificing say, 1-3 which are easy for me to use and have abilities I use multiple times in fights mapped there currently. Is there an autofollow in this game? might help.

Having a hard time settling and getting use to any keybindings I do with my Shadow Inf. So far I have been favoring alt and ctrl plus numbers for the side bars. regular numbers for top main, and shift numbers for button main bar. I often hit shift instead of alt, or alt instead of shift. Get's confusing. Wondering how you all go about it? I have a mouse with 12 side buttons btw. First two rows of side buttons I'm good at, but if I have to jump from say 1 -7 etc. I often miss click and screw things up. One of my main concerns is quick access to my break free abilities. It's rare I need them in pve, but pvp I need to be quicker. time ticks while I'm unable to use abilities via choke hold or whatever. I currently have them mapped with 7 and shift 7. Having a hard time sacrificing something else's place. Saw a vid where someone was mapping movement keys along with abilities. I figure that would mess movement up, but they said it hasn't been a problem. Any of you like that way? I guess there isn't a macro system in the game correct? Also. if anyone has a screen shot that they can share of their lay out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Or general tips. I figure going thru all the names of abilties etc. and what the keybinding is would be too time consuming for anyone

I have two war supply kits: infantry supplies recipes showing up in my "book". Why is this? glitch? if so, anyway to get rid of it/unlearn recipes?

Anyone know what's up with this? I have a Qyzen in room next to Tharan and in his room on a workbench lol. I have a screenshot but don't know how to post it. Guess this forum doesn't allow it? Anyway, just curious if anyone has ran into this or maybe it's not Qyzen but some other character that looks like him I forgot about.

Returning player. Long absence. Did some searches, just found much older threads on this issue. I am wondering if there is any "tangible" rewards current or on the horizon for doing space missions? I think you can gear up your ship that way, but there's other ways to gear up, spending credits. I am way over leveled as is so don't need exp. credits are nice, but hear other ways are better. Can you make cartel coins via achievements as an example? I'm currently mostly doing class/story missions and occasional heroics for gear. Even tho not really sure heroics are worth the time given this whole god mode/easy mode thing going on. Would like to find a reason to do space missions since it's a nice change, but nothing I plan on doing a lot of unless there's a reason beyond "fun". I have fun doing stuff with rewards and better off with my time spent with that. Thanks for your time.

Spoilers: Out of fear of possibly losing a companion I didn't risk trying out the option to let the ghost kill her right before she joins. I'm curious what happens if you choose that option? She die, or something intervene?

Does legacy reset if you do a server transfer? If you delete a character will that character's contributions to the unlocks disappear? Thanks.

Spoilers... Having a hard time deciding whether or not to kill Imprisoned One, or not. Was wanting to see what sort of technology he has (or is it not shown?) but I am playing a light side character, and the light side choice is to kill him. Are the rewards different, or does one's choice alter the story of future quests? Thanks for any info. I tried google and youtube, no luck.

Went on to another datacron, real hard to get. Anyway it says I no longer have access to that datacron too. I guess once you get a datacron on one character, all characters have it? Was thinking u had to gather them for each character.

Trying for the str 3 one (mastery now I guess) where you drop down on some pipes then take a shuttle to the datacron with a dead body, Well, I mistakenly clicked on the item that teleports you back instead of the datacron, thinking it was a lore item. After cussing a bit, I went back for the datacron and it told me I no longer have access to that datacron as if I clicked on it. Does clicking on the thing that teleports you back also give you the datacron mastery/str boost? Is there a way to check what all datacrons u have collected? Is that datacron republic only? I'm empire faction, so wondering if maybe that's why it wouldn't work for me. Or can empire faction characters get republic datacrons? Thanks for any help.
