  1. I wouldn't say so. I think putting the empire above yourself would lead to some light-side and some dark side decisions. Just can say for the warrior: On Korriban you have to decide the fate of 3 prisoners: If you do all the LS choices, you -assign an asassin to imperial inteligence (benefits the Empire) -let a former leader who fails stay in prison (waste of ressources, doesn't benefit the Empire) -release an innocent alien (he now has knowledge of the imperial prison facilities, could possibly harm the empire) Your overseer will like the first and dislike the other two. So a LS Sith is imperial and wants the best for the Empire. But he also has personal morals.
  2. Jedi Consular: [Force Persuade] "We will forget that we were here." Imperial Warden: "I will forget that you were here... why am I talking to myself?" (Also on Nar Shadda.)
  3. Female Jedi Consular on Nar Shadda. When you meet Holiday (a female holo personality) the first time, she says: Holiday: "Nice outfit. I have to ask Tharan to programm it for me too." Consular: [Thanks.] "Thank you, even if it is mainly for combat I care how I look." Qyzen Fess: -1 Affection
  4. Interesting indeed. But I think you could interpret the psychology in an other way. I agree that we all have this evil inside of us. Reading about an evil character, watching an evil character or playing an evil character is the chance to explore this evil inside of us. We want to know how it works, but we still know it is our enemy. Especially if we have a good guy on the other side. (Most of us play good and evil characters in swtor I think.) So we learn more about good and evil inside of us and this helps us to choose good over evil in RL.
  5. First thing I have to say: I disagree with the OP. Still, there is at least one case of sexual abuse in game (Not by the player's character himself). On Alderaan the Sith Warrior can deliver Lady Renata to Duke Kendoh. And between the lines it is very clear that he wants more then just "question her". (you can start at 04:20) Also, before you get Vette you see the prison keeper shocking her just for fun. When I saw this I thougt: '(If male guards can do with female prisoners whatever they want just for fun, then) sexual abuse must be very common in imperial prisons.' Yes, this is not directly from the game and I don't think Bioware wanted me to think this. But if the Empire were real, it would definitly be a footnote in their list of crimes. I think it is good, that the Empire is shown as evil. It is good that their crimes are made clear in game. Everyone who plays Empire should say at the end of the day: I know that I won't like to live there if I could chose. So if this is not clear enough, then the game has a little flaw here. but I think it is pretty clear. The Sith Warrior can't abuse Vette. He also can't force her into the form of relationship he likes.
  6. Are you talking about the Jedi Consular Quest where you can report these two padawans to their masters. If you report them to the masters you get 50 LS points. If you say they are innocent you will get 50 DS points. But then you can go back to the padawans and convince them to end the romance on their own. 200 LS points. So snitching may be a little noble in SWtor, but their are more noble ways. I'd love if there were more options like this, where you can be light side or dark side in different ways. (Sorry, if that's to much off topic.)
  7. - Kalyo. (Haven't played Agent that much so it's only by first look.) - Lady Grathan (I guess you killed her. If you let her live, she uses you to kill her husband and becomes de-facto-leader of House Grathan, controlling her son who is officially in charge.) - General Geselle (yes, you can break her if you force-choke her lover, but this would also break a man, I think.) -Yadira Ban (Black Talon Padawan) I have encountered some more with my Jedi Consular.
  8. Press N or the Companion button at the top of the UI, summon companion, works.
  9. I think a "racist" society like the empire would invente some hierarchy among higher and lesser species. Zabrak would be considered as inferior to Human and Pureblood, but superior to Rattataki and Twilek. Like some racist nations and ideologies did in our humen history (within our species of course).
  10. Batman has his One Rule. So Ravans plan disqualifies him for that
  11. I'm only at german servers yet... My real main character will be on Trask Ulgo, but he will be imperial. Trask Ulgo is afaik a very good, heavy roleplaying server (English, Europe).
  12. Only played act 1 (of 3) yet. Your alignment doesn't change the Story bosses but it changes how the story goes on after you have defeated them. So they sometimes show up on Holocomm and help you in finding... If you kill them I guess you will have a hard time in justifying your actions for the council... The Story itself is not that much affected. (I have to add, I only played Light Side. But it is not hard to figure out how it would have went if I were Dark Side.) Well, I play a Sith Warrior without using buttons. So I die sometimes. Especially if I am not careful enough. I spent more time looking at my action bar too.
  13. OK, so then you should play a Jedi Knight. The JK is a Warrior, a very good fighter, skilled with the lightsaber. He wants to save the republic and defeat the Empire. (The Jedi Consular is more the wise character with incredible Force powers. more like yoda.)
  14. It depents on what you want: Tell me a bit about the character you want to roleplay and a will tell you who fits better. If your character was one of the characters from the movies, who would he be?
  15. Thank you for writing this. It's so good. You can't foresee the outcome. There is the potential for him to go lightside (or walk the middle ground, like he says it) or to really fall to the Dark Side. And when you read it you really hope he will make it...
  16. It seems that most Sith are mainly concerned about the middle lines of the code. ..., I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power,... They don't follow their passions anymore but use them to gain power. It's all about power. Unlimeted power. At least that seems to be the main concern of most of the Sith most of the time. Especially in the Empire. Few Sith achieved the victory they longed for. And I would say (nearly) none of the great Sith Lords was ever "set free". Would you consider Palpatine as free? He was controlled by his hunger for power and his arrogance. And his duty was bound to the fate of his Empire. Would you consider Bane as free? Afaik he thought about him self as a servent to the goals of the Sith. He infested his whole life in an Apprentice who would kill him only that the Sith one day, in the far future, may rule the galaxy. Well, it depends on your definition of freedom. It's definitly not the freedom I want. So I kind of agree with the OP. The Sith code is for the elite. But even they seem to be stuck in the middle of the code. (Maybe the 'heretics' where the true sith. You know, Darth Vader, Visas Marr, Kel'eth Ur (you find his holocorn in the temple), Revan(?), ... They finally were set free.) Despite my 'heretic' attitude, I think everyone agrees that the Sith society is about power and therefor the strength-power-lines of the sith code are the most important for them. Those who have power = the top. That may be true. But as a Sith not only the force is a tool for you, every person around you is a tool to. You try to exploit everyone for your needs and every other sith, especially your master, will try the same with you. I'd rather be a response machine for the force then for a Sith Lord.
  17. I have to admit, I don't know much about Dooku's reasons for turning to the Dark Side and how Sidious managed it. So I take it back. Well I have first-hand knowledge of the movies and (thanks to YouTube) also about Jeasa now. So I know a little about turning to the DS, but not about Ashara yet. He did all these DS things not because he enjoyed killing. He did it because he thougt it has to be done to stop the Jedi Rebellion and to save Padme. 3 chokes, 2 kills (1 captain and 1 admiral). We can't see if he likes it or if the kills are just a "zero tolerance for mistakes"-policy. (You're right that he likes choking the admiral who doubts the force.) There are some Dark Side Inquisitors who won't agree. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1186144#post1186144 So I have some Questions to you: If there was something like the following: You: "You have to kill these Younglings! There is no other way to [insert her/your goal here]." Ashara: "I will do what must be done." Would this be DS enough for you? If not, would you be satisfied if she executes someone (Soldier, Servent, Officer) for his incompetence. Or does she have to be like Jaesa: "Please, give me the shocker that I can torture your slave. She is just trying to be a good slave, but it's so much fun."
  18. What do you want from her. That she falls to the Dark Side as easy as the SW companion? And then enjoy the Dark Side that much? Or what is the ultimate sign that she has fallen? The Jedi Palpatine corrupted also didn't fully fall to the Dark Side in that way. Afaik Anakin never enjoyed killing (maybe exept for revenge), tourturing or distruction. And I think he also considered himself as a Jedi until they were destroyed. And the movie-Dooku was even a kind of idealist (or did he only pretend to be one?). Maybe the SW story is more fun, but the SI story seems more realistic and also closer to the Sidious-fantasy. (I have to add that I haven't played SI or SW yet, just writing from what I have heard.)
