  1. In PVE and even more so PVP abilities that are clearly pressed just seem to decide to not work fairly often. I'm by far not the only person that has noticed this. Is this a known issues by the developers and is this working to be addressed? On a related but separate note, is anything being worked on as far as the lag issue in Warzones? People bouncing around everywhere and many people even with decent computers report FPS issues in Warzones and many people would like to see that fixed. Anything in the works?
  2. Some friends and I are preparing to roll together. One of us is a Marauder, I am a Deception Assassin, a healing Sorc, and of course our Jugg friend. Any tips on a good DPS build for our Jugg friend?
  3. What exactly is the rotation for a Deception Assassin with their entire moveset? Is it Voltaic, Voltaic, Shock, Discharge, and Maul whenever Duplicity is up? Or am I missing something? I know Madness is the better PVE DPS spec but I inted to mainly PvP as Deception so if I don't feel like respeccing for a FP I wanna be able to still perform decently. Thanks all.
  4. I wish I could just quote this entire thread and just reply with "try PvP in WoW if you think this is bad"
  5. Is there a youtube version of this video? I don't click video links unless they're from youtube or some other reputable site
  6. I understand you get Centurion commendations through Champion Gear bags and a chance at your Champion pieces, but how do you get Champion commendations?
  7. Does this also increase the damage on the discharge or just on the proc?

    About the bags...

People complain about these... nonstop... like every two seconds there's a new thread about them nonstop... The bag system should probably be changed. Bioware says they're listening and trying to add more content that we like, well EVERYONE that understands it hates the gearing system, it should probably be changed soon because it's frustrating ALOT of people.

    PvP Story?

Not sure if this has been suggested, but I think it would be very interesting to add some in depth plot to PvP. Missions that involve killing either a certain number of players on PvP dedicated planets/solar systems, or infiltrating an enemy base and gaining an important item or killing an NPC leader (like Alterac Valley from WoW but better) to progress that part of the plot. As far as that getting to a leader thing, one possibility would perhaps be: Republic guards their base during a certain time of day while the Empire attacks. If the Empire successfully defeats the Republic leader of that base, the Republic is forced out of the area and that base becomes a haven for the Empuire for like three hours and the Empire has access to a bunch of instances used to progress this PvP based story arc. After those hours the Empire defends while the Republic tries to kill the Empire players and gain access to the base for the same reasons. Do the quests in this base and you can move onto other locations/planets to keep the story going. Bioware came out and said that PvP has been HUGELY popular, yet all we have are three Warzones and some ganking. It'd REALLY help get PvP absolutely roaring with some full blown war planets between the Republic and the Empire with some really good plot and worthwhile PvP rewards. And I don't mean half baked luke warm plot that nobody cares about, I mean something really well done and interesting.
  10. I played WoW for six years (and personally now that I'm playing Star Wars I don't see myself ever going back to WoW) and all I did was PvP. I have been bottom of the rung all the way to the upper 25% of the rankings in most forms of PvP and I must say that the amount of CC in this is NOTHING compared to WoW. When I grab a flag in WoW and there are several people on me I pretty much don't get to move, especially if my cooldowns are not up. I just waited to die, especially if a Rogue (WoW's version of an Assassin) was on me. EVERY class except Paladins could pretty much keep you slowed by at least half for almost the ENTIRE fight, and that was just 1v1. Mages, Warlocks, and Druids can literally SPAM their CC's, which if you haven't played WoW, imagine if an Inquisitor's Whirlwind didn't have a cooldown. Rogues could lock any target down for at LEAST 10-15 seconds straight or more depending on if the victim didn't have his escape trinket up and if the Rogue was willing to blow his big ticket cooldowns. Also Rogues didn't even have to click a button to apply their 70% slow, it was a moderate chanced proc from simply hitting their target. And did I mention Mages have MULTIPLE abilities to root you in place at will on fairly short cooldowns? I haven't even begun to name half of the stupid CC's in WoW, but Star Wars CC vs WoW's CC? Pfftt, this game has EASILY less CC than WoW. I actually feel like I can move sometimes in PvP in Star Wars. In WoW, like I said, if you got ganged up on you were pretty much nailed to the floor unless you had a pocket healer. You're gonna get CC'd some in any MMO PvP, otherwise everyone might as well just play a Warrior. It would be stupid if you could solo like 5 people and expect to walk through them without any trouble.
  11. Just putting in my voice too
  12. They ruined WoW's PvP and they'll ruin TOR's too. Unless you keep the rewards between arenas and WZ's the same. Aka you don't have to do arenas to get the best gear like in WoW. But then it'll bring up all kinds of balance issues. So really, no, arenas are a bad idea.
  13. No. Arenas. In. Star. Wars. Period.
  14. So what is looking to be the primarily accepted PvP spec come end game, Deception or Madness? When I started my Assassin I looked at both trees and decided Madness was probably the best tree for control, but now looking over the Deception tree I'm seeing some things that are making me think twice. Any suggestions?
  15. Well this taught me to never ever under any circumstances even hint that WoW even exists on these boards lol
  16. I kinda just skipped through so this isn't the most detailed of analyses but it seems fairly comprable to my Assassin
  17. Uhh, there's no video...
  18. Not literally, but if you wanted high end PvP gear (which was all I cared about) you pretty much had to do them
  19. High damage is cool and all, but I'm more so looking for a class with decent damage and lots of control in end game PvP, so is the Assassin a good choice? I won't mind it so much if I can lose 1/2 my HP in the beginning but then gain control and win in the end. Or just have a decent amount of control in general. Again keep in mind (assuming most people playing this have also played WoW and know what I'm talking about) I have been over 2K in Arenas in WoW multiple times so I'm a decent player and can get good at my selected class given the right tools. I just want to know if I will have said tools. Just to note, I like the lack of Areas in this game, I only did them in WoW because I had to, I'm glad I don't have to do them any more.
  20. Currently I am leveling a Sith Assassin but keep hearing talk of Operatives being very good too. Is it give and take or are operatives just superior to Assassins? I am somewhat new to Star Wars (granted everyone is) however I was a fairly high end PvPer throughout the last 2 expansions of WoW so I'm a good MMOer in general. Any thoughts?
  21. I keep seeing a lot of talk about Inquisitors being good in PvP so i am considering making one. I played a VERY good Enhance/Elemental Shaman in WoW but have also always considered a Rogue type of class. Question is, what seems to be doing better between Assassins and Sorcerers?
