  1. I don't think they could have Nexus be usable in the game without it turning your chestpiece into a convenient crop top. =P
  2. With the Imperials, you should expect it. It's the Republic SIS you should be worried about, in their quest to find Imperial Infiltrators, "For the good of the Republic", they'll be rifling through your cargo bays and seeing if you're selling weapons on the GTN market.
  3. How'd you achieve 41% Evasion on your Sting (assuming you meant passive total)? I got 15% from Distorion Field, 10% from Lightweight Armor, and 6% from my Ashara for a total of 31% that I could passively add.
  4. Does anyone know how Evasion works? Is it a penalty to the enemy's Accuracy (ie 20% Evasion vs 90% Accuracy = they have a 70% chance to hit you), or is it like a 'saving throw', where, if the enemy hits you, you'd have a 20% to dodge it?
  5. Sure, I'll be fine with such a change to Force Speed as soon as they make it so that melee DPS can't move and attack at the same time..
  6. I actually do pretty well with my Madness Sorc, but I will say the one change I'm still upset about to this day is when they nerfed the skill tree spec awhile back that allowed an insta-cast Whirlwind. Half the classes out there get an insta-cast (AOE!) mez by default. But even specced in the skill tree, my Whirlwind takes so 'long' to cast that the enemy is either out of range (if they're running away/lateral), or they've already killed you. ~_~
  7. Personally, I'd say lose Focal Lightning and put those points into Devour. The alacrity bonus just didn't occur often/consistent enough, or alter the cast/channel times enough to be worth it to me. The self-healing is one of the main features of that skil tree, so make good use of it! It also makes your healer's job (and by extension, your team) a little easier. I also put leftover skill pts into the healing tree to get the +8% to incoming heals, which further boosts the self-heals. All told, it makes me surprisingly difficult to get rid of (DOT's for everybody!); I find it really amusing/flattering when the opposing team takes 3-4 people to kill me, and only after having to really work for it!
  8. I've noticed that when I go into matches and see one of my teammates with like 4-5k hp less than everyone else, I check and see that they're using old Recruit or Battlemaster gear. So I tell them that using old pvp gear screws their stats with the new Bolster system, and that it's better to use PVE gear in the meantime. I don't call them useless or to get out. But they always never reply back, pretending that they didn't hear, and then proceed to charge headlong into the mid area (with predictable results), and then you see them again next round with no changes to their gear... ~_~ Don't you just love those... Things would''ve been easier if BW had removed the Expertise from Recruit/Battlemaster gear like they did with the War Hero.
  9. Alright. I'll go over to the Pub side with my ridiculously under geared pub toons and do the same thing. I'll be sure to let my poor teammates know whose idea it was. ;P Ironic that you should complain about imbalanced teams when the Pub side currently has way more better geared/skilled pvpers than the Imp side currently does.
  10. I've noticed this too. I think many imp guilds have at least 1 or 2 good pvpers, but they probably don't consolidate into a PVP guild because they also want to do ops, and have a raid group they belong to in their respective guilds. My suggestion for people would be to do what I did: take note of who pulls good #'s/medals, who coordinates tactics, who guards nodes well, who Guards other players, etc in your matches and make friends with them. Ask if they'd like to team up or if they have a spot in their group. The caveat though is to make sure you're pulling down some decent #'s yourself, because no one wants to carry a n00b. If they're full or not interested, then move down the line and see else was pulling good #'s to team up with. So as a result of this kind of networking, I've got friends in 3 of the more active Imp PVP guilds and almost always have competent players to roll with. And these friends in turn know other competent players from other guilds that can join us when we have space available. Network, people! ;D Another thing we need to do is answer people's questions about PVP gearing and tactics when they ask in Gen chat instead of giving snarky-*** answers. If they're willing to learn, it's in our best interests to help out.
  11. Goshdarnit, I needed that datacron, but didn't see this thread till now since I'm hardly on the forums. =/ Is this something you guys do frequently?
  12. I wholeheartedly share this sentiment. It's my signature top and I wanna change the color!
