  1. Yeah.... its just my tinfoil hat... there isn't a YouTube video about the item dupe exploit... several mentions of it on other threads... hell, not even a dev post about this or anything. I suppose those hours of top players on the guild just amassed all those crystals to spam gifts for hours on end legitimately . Please do tell where someone would get the materials to amass 240 invasion forces without emptying there life savings.

Had it in my legacy bank since the last time this last conquest week was in rotation

  2. Sorry still requires a lot of tinfoil hat for this assertion. There has been sufficient time since 4.0 released that you can max influence on lots of toons. The game provides more than enough decos to fill any 4 strongholds purely throught playing the game and getting achievement trophies. Lastly invasion forces provided 7.5k each last week per and with crafting efficiency at 75% for everything invasion forces craft at about 1 per hour across 6 comps in a game with 40 character slots per server and a repeatable crafting week.
  3. Crafting is no longer repeatable outside of I think two conquest sets only one of which was available in the last week. So exactly how did the exploit help them beyond last weeks?

Also it was easily possible to obtain the numbers from last week prior to 4.0 release, just required a little organization which is what guilds are for anyways.

  4. 4) I agree with a basic philosophy that we cannot have 4 raids that all drop the best gear in the game. If a guild puts those 4 raids on farm, the "grind" to full best-in-slot for the raid group is simply too quick, so the percentage thing does make some sense.

I am still not understanding why seems like an acceptable excuse as all that happens right now is that in two nights of raiding a week at two hour time periods, the HMs can be cleared at about 2-3 a night. Getting gear with NMs dropping 224s would be slower as NMs take more time than HMs to complete. Yes, you can get different token pieces in the same week but thats insignificant when the likes of EV and KP are the highlighted ops and you can have an entire raid group in half of their total needed gear in one week and get the other half for everyone the next week. The same amount of time is invested, just more HMs can be cleared in that time which means you gear up faster.

  5. What? That's absolutely retarded.

How many drugs were your developers on when they came to that decision?

Edit: Also, February?! How hard is it to fix a drop rate bug? Surely it doesn't take four months to fix.

It took them three months to investigate that 16 man loot in 3.0 was only dropping one set of gear and another month to fix, they are clearly holding to their high standards.

  6. It is by design that the best and most consistent way to gear up in Operations is to run the highlighted Hard Mode each week. Although they did certainly want to make sure there was a chance for greater reward from Nightmare!

Could you expand on this design decision please? Short explanation or something because people who typically used to run nightmare now have the choice of doing something easy for better rewards or doing something harder for less rewards? It just seems odd and means that the guilds which were focused on nim before are bleeding members even more than previously. Some of us do play the game for the story but we also play it for interactions with friends we have developed and completing the hardest content by working together but you have removed the incentive for the latter.

  7. No. Never. Karagga is the OP for entirely new players. And then Eternal Chamber.

But not Explosive Conflict. Not at all. And I have quite horrible memories from doing Explosive Conflict as a Newbie.

The shields were the most dificult part there. And then the orbital ? weapons.

No. Newbies cannot know this. Newbies are not used to these advanced tactics like gathering under a shield, destreoy all opponents, but at the same time be carful to not destroy the "shield generator" itself ( recalling from my memory, which might not be accurate anymore, since I did it never in SM, only in HM - as a complete OP Newbie !! )

We wiped 20 times there I think - no joke ! - because the Op leader claimed it was oh so easy ...

And then another 10 times wiping with the commander ... And then another 10 times with the last boss ... 3 complete Newbies to this OP and 2 of them completely new to ANY OP !

I don't remember the repair costs anymore. It was hardly bearable, so much was it.

That's the fault of the raid leader, not the operation. You don't take new player into a hm op. You had a bad raid leader but instead of having a poor opinion of them you got a poor opinion of the operation, doesn't even make sense.

  8. This place seems way over-tuned for what should be pre-raid content. Everything hits like a truck and the third boss is almost impossible to outheal when he jumps on the pipes and spits poison at everybody.

I get that one hardmode is harder than the other, but this one seems a bit out of whack with the rest. What's the point in having content that drops blue 200 rating gear, when you need at least 216 to even pull of the instance?

Bet that is a mechanics issue more than anything, when savrak spits on someone they get a debuff dot which is short but if that person gets in five meters or so of another player it will migrate and continuously bounce back and forth doing dot damage and seriously pressuring heals. However it's easy to deal with because nobody should be running back to middle before it's time to stack on savrak for the knockback.

    Simple mechanics issue not overtuning.

  9. Events don't really advance your character's story. They are mostly a place to get cosmetic gear or decorations. So overall most people don't really get the same level of immersion from them that they do from either story gameplay or endgame gameplay. So it feels like events would take a backseat to those two when it comes to allocating developer time.

Yes it's hard to get involved in recycled events. But the original rakghoul and chevin events were great because they had almost as much immersion as the new story chapters but just not as many cutscenes.

  10. But when I see people say, "Lol why are people complaining, shut up and enjoy the game or quit"

This, so much this. People complain and criticize because they are unhappy but they want the game to improve not because they don't want to keep playing. If people just leave and don't complain, that is when you should be worried but there is a large number of people out there that think any amount of complaining/criticizing is just bad and that people who feel there are issues with the game should just leave. However, the people that are asking for the things they want or pushing for changes are also the people that bioware has a chance to retain as opposed to those who "just leave." Any subscriber telling someone to "just leave" accomplishes nothing more than to hurt their own future gaming environment.

  11. Ha that poster really destroyed you the one you quoted. I guess you aren't the special genius you claim you are. :D On topic people like yourself and in general really need to stop complaining and simply enjoy the game for how it is

Lol what are you even going on about now

  12. One of your previous posts- "i'm not getting any new companions or grinding any alliance content or and influence.

i had max affection before and they took it away. ok peace, but no point in doing it again nor getting new companions which are nothing more than character skins seeing as tho they are all the same now."

Complaining is one thing, but your not even trying the new content and complaining. You don't even know what your talking about if you haven't even gotten new companions or tried out the new system. I LOVE the new companion system, and think its a great direction for the game. Either play the game or don't. You have somehow chosen to do both....

Sorry, I must have been misinformed that this game has multiple aspects and that those aspects offer interest to multiple types of players, sorry for the confusion. I will now play this game as if it only has one part of itself.

  13. You ever try to heal a hard mode op when someone shows up in PvP gear? For PVE purposes, it should be considered a full tier below because the extra stats are dumped into Expertise, which is useless in an op.

I'll wager you're the clown in PVP gear, standing in fire, QQing the healer isn't keeping up.

Sorry did that the other day and I did a better job healing than the 220 geared healer, op was HM TFB. At these current nerfed ops, it's all the players themselves.
