[How are tanks in PvP?]

Im aware of our inability to avoid force/ Tech attacks, why BW decided it should be this way I'll never know. I also understand how dumb some healers can be and that you can't guard stupid, but hey when has tanking ever NOT been a thankless job? I appreciate the feedback you guys have given me.

A little background info: I haven't played Swtor in a while. I stopped playing a week after 1.2 came out, so there are probably many changes I'm unaware of. I plan to start a new character, a tank this time. And I'm wondering how Tanks are in PvP, not for damage, but for overall survivability (misspell?) and how much support they can bring to the table nowadays if anyone still plays one. Oh, I plan to make a Jugg tank, by the way.

Well look on the bright side. When you beat someone, or someone beats you again and again and again, you can't blame them for having better gear, because everyone will have the same gear, hence the only thing that will determine a fight is Skill, Lag, and FPS.

Personally I like it. It's brutal. I mean you literally shred the target and when rupture cd reset procs, your screen even shakes a bit which gives it an incredible effect.

 

But it's a matter of taste I guess.

 

Still, I find jugg's impale animation to be the best. Just screams brutality.

the first twenty levels they get a crappy Tank and DPS companion, where as Sith Warriors get a ****** DPS and a healer as early as level 20. I feel like they really got the shaft on the leveling end.

Stmp gets pocket heals + guard 24/7 when he is in a WZ. Not saying he is bad tho, but you can't call someone "god" with pocket heals.

 

So queuing with someone who happens to be a healer, who is also healing everyone else, is a pocket healer? Lol, okay....

 

Edit: And by guard if you mean Riggerowl,they are never anywhere NEAR each other in a WZ, if rarely. So yeah... you got your intel wrong bro.

Yeah, Thats one good thing about this. can't kill trade your way to War Hero gear.

[Rotation for level 15 Smuggler/Gunslinger]

Don't know why some people who either have nothing constructive to say, or who otherwise don't want to answer feel the need to respond to requests for help. Anyway, here is the rotation I have been using:

 

Buffs up?

Cover

Aimed Shot

Smuggler's Luck

Charged Burst

Quick Shot

Charged Burst

 

Depending on the grouping, I may throw a thermal grenade in there, and interrupts as needed. I think this is the rotation I will be using until I get Back Blast in the lvl 20's.

 

I know the question was posted a few months ago, and the author is probably a 50 by now, but I was trying to get some confirmation myself on this question, and the only answer I saw was someone saying "don't worry about it."

Its not really unconstructive. There is no rotation just get into cover and press buttons until *********** die. >.> there won't really be a rotation until his early 30's

[If you could give Gunslinger/Scoundrel ONE new ability?]

A Snare like scoundrels get, or maybe a root that doesn't break after two seconds. I would prefer a snare though...

I do very well with my Gunslinger. Since pretty much all of our damage is phys. damage we really need good gear and lots of crit chance. A Gunslinger is viable in most WZ, because there is a ledge that you can get up to. Sometimes when I am bored I heckle people in Voidstar by sitting on the ledge in between the first door shooting at people while I am pretty much unable to be pulled down or charged up to

 

Gunslingers are unpopular because they have little to no mobility and people don't like that. To play a GS you need to learn how to pick the ideal positions for cutting people down. in a corner out of most peoples sight, like behind a pillar, up on a ledge.

You must not have faced many good Sentinels/Marauders... That class has a very high skill cap.

To be honest, since they said the pre-season won't feature 8-man groups (that will be for Phase 2 along with X-server). It could be like a pug, or possibly for phase one testing putting in people who queue ranked solo with people who queue ranked group. to be honest I would rather stand on my own two feet rather than hide behind a pre-made. Because a Bad will still be a bad, but the bad is just hiding in a team of pre-made bads. kinda like the OP, no?

What are you babbling about...Gw2 will die because it has no PvE whatsoever same reason Gw1 died... And WoW is still going strong log into any server and you will see the major cities still packed...And is far as needing gear...Rated battlegrounds the best geared people fight other best geared people so i dont see this gear advantage you speak of...

OP is the very definition of Elitist..... One of the Worst cases I've ever seen, and to answer some questions I speculate Ranked Solo might PROBABLY be just like ranked pugs. Its a stretched, but thats the only possible thing.
