  1. First, thank you for putting out a reply to PTS feedback. That being said you guys have stated in the live stream that your goal is to get this right so I may as well add my voice to it too: Please provide a direct route for specific tokens and pieces. RNG only gearing is not fun. Please do not return us to "The Thrill of the Hunt"TM. 5.0 caused us to lose a large amount of players because to the point that it was visibly noticable. Going back to RNG gear will cause the same effect. If you have actually learned from 5.0 gearing you should be at worst keeping a system in place similar to what we have at the moment. Changing it back to RNG, which is what we had for Battlemaster in pvp, what we had in the old HM flashpoints to a lesser degree, and 5.0. I want to make sure that I state it clearly, the point is to have a clear path to getting the gear desired with a clear length of time expected. By using RNG for gear there is no way of knowing how long it takes to get gear for my main. I don't care about gearing alts when I NEED to get gear for doing NiM level raiding on the toon I am playing.
  2. Does acquiring gear feel too fast? Too slow? Too slow. Do you understand what to do to get gear? Yes, and its a worse system then was in place in the 1.x era. I don't need everyone getting loot on every boss especially when the gear isn't really beneficial. In 1.x by doing the top version of flashpoints we were able to get a set bonus piece dropping from the final boss and we knew which one, either boots, pants, belt, all dependent on the flashpoint. The problem with it was that it could drop a set piece that would be for a class not present, which is what happened everytime I ran Hammer Station last night for the amplifier. In an operation keep the loot system the way it is, aka 1 boss = 1 piece of set gear to roll on for the group. Don't try to fix something that isn't broken. 2.x had the best gearing system in the game so I don't get why we aren't looking back at that era to draw gearing ideas from to improve the system. In pvp within a week of playing it I would have a full set of basic gear set bonuses included for any character I wanted. This is essential to keeping a thriving pvp community as it allows quick gear by playing the way that they choose. This system is just as much of a grind if not more then 5.0 with the launch of galactic command. Do everyone a favor including keeping the game alive by not launching this gear system, especially the way it is on the PTS. Gear the way you want should mean that I don't have to equip new green gear because I am forced by the dev team as you took away my set bonus and the only way to get better gear is to wear the gear that you are forcing on me so it can then give me gear that is the same or maybe slightly better item level wise but doesn't have the stat distribution that I want. If my group and I are that good that we can jump right into HM operations at lvl 75 with a mix of 252s and 258s and clear bosses we should be rewarded with set bonus drops from the bosses that will give us gear to allow us to play Nightmare operations immediately if that is what we want to do when playing the game.
  3. These updated set bonuses are just plain terrible for both dps and tank. As a tank this straight out makes us more squishy by changing the set bonuses to what they would be in 6.0. So here are the options I take either of these new options which both make me more cool down reliant then before or I keep my old armorings and lose the hp and threat generation gained by the higher level gear. I get that the goal is to make set bonuses less the balance change then the tactical items but niether of these set bonuses help a jugg. You need to go back to the drawing board here and rethink the options as I am losing time on my taunts by dropping current set bonuses and losing mitigation.
  4. This is something that you should have come out and stated earlier when people were asking about an upcoming road map. It should have been an easy answer to say we understand that people are eager for a roadmap about future content and the plan is to have more around the time of Star Wars Celebration. It makes people more anxious when this is a known plan and yet it is delayed even being officially mentioned.
  5. Late night Nightmare raid group is looking for 1 new dps to join the group on the Imp side. We raid on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 11pm est to 1:30am and are currently working on Brontes. As such we are looking a for a dps capable of the mechanics and numbers required to kill apex bosses. There is no requirement on ranged or melee as the group is flexible. Candidates will be put through a trial period for evaluation. The group has already cleared EC and SnV fully as well as 4/5 in TFB and DP and is composed of people from several guilds. You are not required to join a guild to be in the group but if you are looking for a guild we can talk. Before working on Brontes we had already cleared A&E before Nahut was released, and are planning to finish DF before heading back into Gods from the Machine to clear the next 2 bosses. If you are interested please reach out in game to Slayersorange or Slayers-styx.
  6. This is what I was afraid of when I did some quick napkin math. I would recommend more along the lines of reducing the damage of cull by 12.5% or 15%. This combined with the other changes makes Virulence a better sustained spec then Marksmen/Sharpshooter. At the same time in would help bring sniper more in line with where it probably should be in a pure numbers standpoint. Again this seems to be the same problem as the sorc corruption nerf, Bioware please reduce the level of the change that you are doing because as it is you are making huge changes numbers wise without actually have these changes on a Public Test Server in order to actually gauge these changes among a larger player base that can potentially try these changes in pvp, Nightmare (I know you label it as Master Mode) operations, and flashpoints and uprisings. The simple scale of the changes that you are doing should require public testing not just internal testing because they affect a significant part of the player base.
  7. I do get that sorc healing needed a nerf, considering that it was basically the only class that you could take 2 of them into 8 man Nightmare operations. The impression though that I get from the size of these nerfs is that this might be to large especially when looking back into the past at the way that sorc heals have needed to be buffed. A better approach to changing the sorc healers would probably be to make the nerfs smaller first and then wait to see if they are still over performing. TO compare games this seems more like how the initial balancing was done in Starcraft II, which for those that didn't play the game were done poorly. I do get that there are limited resources to go around, but doing smaller changes allows for better tuning instead of trying to make massive changes and then realizing that you have to go back and either undo the changes or make even more changes because the target was missed.
  8. To be fair the fight was a greater challenge before 4.0 and more in line with Master Blaster. The problem seems to be more with tuning in general or a lack there of for scaling all the operations.
  9. Yes we did complete Warstalker, I want to say something like 2 months ago.
  10. Well said in the opening post, this is something that the development team and Ben need to have an actual conversation with the community. By conversation this means a dialogue from both sides not just a single post saying lets have a dialogue and then never talking.
  11. <Evil Intentions> is looking for a ranged dps for its Sunday night Raid group. Ranged is highly preferred as we already have two melee dps, but we will make an exception for a truly exceptional melee dps. This raid group is focused on running nightmare operations with the next target most likely being nightmare Scum and Villany. Evil Intentions is an imperial based guild on Jedi Covenant that has existed since Kellers Void before the server merges, and is relatively small with a focus more on our members then worrying about recruiting new people. The raid group runs once a week on Sunday night from 7:30pm est to 10:30pm est so anyone interested should be able to put up the necessary numbers to clear the content. Anyone interested in joining the group should be able to parse above 6.2k in order to meet Nightmare dps requirements. Being able to follow mechanics and adjust strategy is important, as is the ability to take criticism if given. It is not a requirement to join the guild, but if the candidate is willing to join you will be get guild repair funds for raiding purposes. Personality will play a part in the group as those that cannot get along with the group will be removed. Anyone interested in joining the group please contact me on either Slayersorange, Slayers-zenio, Slayers-styx, or Slayers-thorin. If you cannot find me just send me a message in game or a private message on the forums where I will pass forward your information to our raid leader.

  13. Late Night Raid group looking for skilled dps to join the group: The White Knights Raid group, as listed in the 3.0 progression thread, is looking for a highly skilled dps to join our late night progression group that runs on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 11:30 pm est. to 2:30 am est. We are looking for dps capable of parsing at or about 4.7k dps. We would prefer having someone other then a juggernaut and sorcerer for dps as we already have those roles and are looking for more potential. We are 8/10 in the current HM content and are working on Coratanni/Ruugar We have HM Monolith on farm at this point and are just looking for the right person fill out the roster. You do not have to join one of the guilds that is in the raid to join as this is a group that works together regardless of guild tag, as we are currently made up of members from multiple guilds. Requirements: Have Teamspeak, star parse, the ability to show up on time, and take constructive criticism. Uploaded parses to parsely.io in for proof of dps will be asked so please have them available for proof. Please Contact Slayers-zenio, Slayersorange, or Slayers-thorin in game or PM me directly from the website.
  14. Just finished a run for the wings with the group. Was incredibly smooth and took almost no time at all. Thank you guys for the run and good luck with future runs as well.
  15. Evil Intentions Casual/Progressive End Game Guild About us Hello and thank you for taking a few minutes to find out about our guild, Evil Intentions. The guild has been around since a few months after launch where it was formed on Keller’s Void before the server mergers. We are a dedicated casual empire guild with a progressive focus on endgame content. Currently we have 1 ops group running once a week that is 7/10 in the latest HM content, with multiple members that are 8/10, and were 8/10 in the last NiM content cycle. In addition we have highly experienced members, who are highly skilled at multiple classes and roles. We are currently looking for new people to join the guild and help us expand slightly to add depth to our roster. We do not mind helping players grow and become better as long as they behave like an adult and can accept constructive criticism. What we are looking for in players: We prefer players that have had some level of end game ops experience, either in SWTOR or another mmo as the guild focuses more towards the PvE aspect, although some of our members do PvP, both regs and ranked. While we will consider new players that are not familiar with ops, it will be on a case by case basis and may include either a trial period to gauge skill, ability to learn, and personality. Personality will play a part in the trial as we are a smaller sized guild and are looking to avoid member conflicts. Please contact either Slayers-zenio, Slayersorange, or Slayers-thorin in game for more information or if you are interested in joining.
  16. Just sent you a PM. Hope to hear from you sometime soon.

  22. While your gear is good, you need crit to be running DF properly. Try changing some of the power to crit and looking for around 300. Crit will help increase the amount of damage from your dots and wounding shots to the point where you will have more energy available. Next point I noticed is that you didn't put down a second quickdraw in the rotation. This needs to happen in every time as not using it in the rotation is a dps loss. The other thing is as JAD says you want to use Aimed shot as part of the opener, meaning flyby, aimed shot and then the rotation. Replace aimed shot with Charged burst that has smugglers luck. You should only use charged burst in the general rotation when smugglers luck is available.
