  1. I agree with you about making Warzones more objective based. I love BF3 because the game rewards in just the right way to encourage team play, yet getting kills still satisfies. Employ the changes mentioned, and then add a dedicated team deathmatch mode for those that enjoy racking up the kills.
  2. I think they should just give us the choice of new or old...surely that would solve all issues? It would be the equivalent of other UI options. Personally not a fan of the new UI...might be me but it seems slower to display than the old one, which makes things a bit trickier when you get out of rotation in a sticky spot and need to actually look at things. It won't stop me from playing, but I feel for you guys and girls that now can't play unless you're pumped full of pain killers, and hope Bioware are able to sort it out soon for you.
  3. Actually their focus is as such because martial arts are, when used to their full...DEADLY. MMA is a knock out sport, not mortal combat.
  4. I'm male and have two male characters (Blackbartblues, Prowler) and two female (Theironmaiden, Ohura). When I play as the female characters, my wife makes all the dialogue choices, I do all the levelling and other stuff... On a side note, she told me that I have to take a break from SWTOR to play Mass Effect 3 when it arrives, so she can see what happens!
  5. The noob filter got me the first couple of times...then it all clicked and it was easy.
  6. Service support (techie) at BT Smuggler - gunslinger - sharpshooter: Because witty line followed by detonation charge + kicking people in the nuts = Awesome
  7. Have you had the glitch where Risha appears randomly across the ship typing into thin air!?
  8. I haven't specced him up, but he's really useful when taking on an area full of weaker mobs, because he keeps your health topped up in between, improving the flow of the game. When it comes to elites I break out Risha or Corso, but we shall see when I've got some more creds and get better gear for him how he holds up.
  9. To be fair a lot of the points made in the (extremely long) post are valid, and if certain elements of TOR were changed I'm sure we'd all benefit. Have these limited elements stopped me from enjoying the game...no. I hate Marmite, but I love SWTOR
  10. I think my body type 2, cyborg, heavily scarred Juggernaut looks cooler being bald. My Zabrak Smuggler also has no hair (horns and hair...no no no!), but my Jedi Consular (female mirialan) does, because my wife said she looked silly being bald, and I had to agree
  11. The problems I've had haven't been with low fps numbers (ctrl+shift+f always gives me an average way over 60) but with intermittent stutter not picked up by the counter. Getting off of a taxi ride, summoning my companion, entering a new area etc. brings things to a (albeit temporary) slide show. My PC is pretty well specced: i5 2500K @ 4ghz 8 Gig RAM GTX580 - heavily overclocked, but can't remember the settings - at work at the moment Built it specifically for BF3, which it runs on Ultra with standard and post AA up to max, without slow down) and my internet connection is cable (constant 10mbps) As experienced by many people, the art design in this game = win, the technical implementation = GIANT FAIL (don't get us on to textures and the lack of AA!)
  12. I've played as one character (smuggler) and I'm only level 32. I play an average of about 3 hours a day, since the 28th December. So those people that are a level 50 must either play a crazy amount, or space bar their way through content and play lots of PvP. I've not got a problem with people doing that, and I say each to their own, but people complaining about the lack of endgame forget that the majority of players aren't there yet! I for one am going to enjoy playing multiple class quests for the months to come, and will see what engame there is when I get there. If you don't enjoy the endgame and you're not interested in playing other classes, go play another game and come back later
  13. I needed 40,000 credits to learn to pilot one...don't know about the other costs because I never bothered paying that much to learn!
  14. I'd go down the healing route...you'll be loved in Flashpoints and PvP; never wanting or waiting for a group. You'll also get a companion that you can use as cannon fodder for enemies in PvE. Unless you really want to shoot lots and lots lightning out of your finger that is
  15. I don't understand all the hating from so many people posting on whatever side they're on. SWTOR is the first MMO I've played and wanted to pay a sub for, and Bioware + Star Wars was the reason. I'm enjoying it immensely and yes I have found a few bugs and annoyances (nothing game breaking), but I have done so with every PC game I've ever played. One happy Smuggler (and I even understand why people like WoW and leave them to enjoy it)
  16. Good to know...I'm still in Act1 and as I said, it's a bit thin on the ground at the moment, but all the side quests have been good enough to keep me happy
  17. Bioware will have me hooked for years because I want to play all of the stories, and experience all of the different ways of playing! I've never played an MMO before and the only reason this drew me in was Star Wars + Bioware = awesome game with great stories. I'm also a completionist so taking ages to get through the single player aspects of story/grinding etc. currently a lvl25 smuggler and the story is quite thin on the ground but I can see it beginning to build...
