  1. This thread will be closed as it does not say positive things about SWTOR/BioWare/EA.
  2. EA/BioWare (BioWare) are freaking out and deleting any threads that are negative towards the game or Bioware, with a particular focus on cancellation of subscriptions, bugs and end-game. I can understand this, because they know it's over. This an attempt at damage control. They know this game was a total disaster. They will not get their ROI. Everyone knew EA was trash, but Bioware perhaps had some legitimacy before SWTOR. Now that is all lost. The game was clearly not ready for release, but the release window was there. There were not any other major subtitute titles coming out around Christmas 2011 so BioWare took the gamble and went for it. While I can understand where this thought process started, it was very short sighted. If you really believe this was a solid title that was going to stand the test of time, you can wait another 6 months while you go through a real QA process and include the finishing touches. I have a feeling they just couldn't wait any longer, pressures from the powers that be at EA were too much and forced an early release and this is the result. Should they survive this, I hope at the very least BioWare learns from this experience (not an exhaustive list of course, just high-level topics): - Do not release your game until it is actually ready - Do not value style over substance - Do not try and compete in a market outside your niche unless have a genuine product - Do not rely entirely on IP to get sales I feel sorry for BioWare for thinking they have the expertise, talent and skill required to enter a market in which they cannot compete. I feel sorry for the families of the employees who are going to be laid off as a result of this failure. Good luck Bioware, May the force be with you.
  3. This is probably the best solution. Another game that shall not be mentioned also boasts such a feature (that actually works without bugs). Unfortunately however, I can't see this being very high on Bioware's list of priorities at the moment. Even without adding any new content (and the bug fixing it will require) they will be busy for years trying to fix what is broken in the current game.
  4. This game is a total face roll. It's hard not to progress through it quickly... Cute idea, but reducing the experience gain only means people will find out there is nothing at end game a tiny bit later.
  5. Nice, by the time the game comes out in Aus/NZ it will be free to play. Enjoy guys.
  6. SWTOR is all about the end-game experience.
  7. This thread will be deleted as it does not praise the game and say positive things about Bioware.
  8. That was some sexy back peddling there, you're very talented.
  9. If you're awful you most likely won't notice it. Doesn't matter what system you're playing on.
  10. Yes, it's right next to the combat log and end-game content.
  11. Trick question - the correct answer is zero because it will be free to play. Very sneaky OP.
  12. Don't worry about it, you're not missing out on much. Just save your time and effort.
  13. The reason it feels like a ghost town is because it is. This is the most populated you will see the game. Have fun, enjoy the story.
