  1. Is she really dead.... How many tv series or movies have there been where the alleged dead person turned out to not be dead. Here we have a setting of sci fi mixed with the force so anything is possible if the force wills it. I agree that Vaylin should be offered as a companion for both light and dark side players and both side as a romance influence if the player wants to go down that road. She could be redeemed through love (light side) and realise that all she had missing in her life was the stability her love interest provides. She could be force into submission through the dark side and again realise that the subjugation through her lover is has her find a point where she is not only no longer a psycho but happy. Either way, the potential for an awesome story line and /or romance is wide open... I'm looking forward to it... Muwahahahaahahaha
  2. Heres my take on it... NO..NO..NO.. We really want to end up getting stunned, booted, pulled from on to another to another every second. It's already bad enough having a fight last 5 minutes against silvers cause they booted you companion into another mob of jedi so your playing musical jedi getting booted and stunned one after the other. In the mean time the damage you end up doing to one is healed while your still trying to get back to him. In the end i ended up using Heroic Movement to just to end the nightmare. AND YOU WANT MORE OF THAT CRAP.......
  3. 1. You have combat respec available, would be nice if it actually let you save the quickbar set ups for them as well. Combat speccing in itself is quick, however setting your skills into the quickbar on changing is a pain in the butt, now add into that your in a ops and no one wants to waste time waiting for you to reload your quickbars. Why cant you save the quickbar and utility selection for at least 2 of your options. I run a sage, including a change out of armor, would be nice if we could just respec and it loads a saved version of the dps and healers quickbar and utiliy layout. I hate to bring it up but WoW can do it and we all know that SWTOR devs rule so best they keep the WoW devs in the drooling corner. 2. It's really nice when your in GTN comparing items and looking at the best way to go and BOOM!!! your back to the character select screen even though you've been moving between pages in GTN and searching. (this goes for GSF as well). 3. Mainly regarding Bounty Hunters but other classes may have similar issue. I became a Mandalorian, even some of the cut scenes they (Darth Marr for example) address you as a Mandalorian, yet "The Mandalorian" is not available as a title. 4. Numerous occasions while on ship (various characters) using intercom, you get to see double companions, even heads of companions sticking through a companions torso. I feel this isnt really a huge issue. it should however be an embarrassment for the devs that it happens. 5. Minor grammar issues, now I'm not one to care about grammar but during a quest on Makeb doing the core test, you encounter a merc group with one survivor (after you wipe her squad out Muwahahaha) you rescue. When you escape the cave in the sgt wants to know what you want to do with the "Survivors" (plural) even though there was only one. Like I said not a big problem but another Opps, thats embarrassing for the editorial staff. and has me wondering where the other survivors came from.. Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day...
  4. I dont agree, open world pvp actually alienates a lot of players who have no interest in getting PK'd which is all an open world pvp is. For open world PVP they make PVP servers and for battleground and arena PVP they make PVE servers. Strangely a lot of pvp players dont like pvp servers as there sick of getting ganked constantly by higher level and better geared players. So your number 3 is tried and true but a tried and true failure when it comes to maximising your player base and generating the highest revenue possible. Ive seen a mmo's server list start with a lot of pvp servers but a year or so later and the pve servers outnumber them.
  5. All i can say is if they make it open world pvp me and probably a lot of other players who arent interested in pvp at all will be gone. I see one of there main issues is play ability, whats the point in adding in something like eternal champion arena and then making it so hard that only mechanics players with top gear can get through it. Devs need to understand ITS A GAME!!! and not all of us are max out players some of us are casual. I prefer no pvp areas at all, leave pvp in battlegrounds and such, else pvp wanting open world pvp should go to a pvp world, easy sorted lets move on. Your right though, they need raids or a lot of the mechanics players will leave, personally i dont do raids as a courtesy, my ping is high and when there audio software craps out starts crackling, it ends up lagging my system when the fighting gets intense (especially with bosses). But I also agree that they need to separate the pvp and pve balancing in relation to each other. maybe there devs arent that good, and its all beyond them. Possibly they cant figure out how to balance so they make stuff based on mechanics players with top gear and mental block the rest of us out of the equation. But im biased....
  6. I'm about to delete the game cause of this crap arena. Cant get anywhere in cant finish lanos As far as im concerned the whole thing is designed for mechanics players with maxed out gear. If I want to raid , id go on a raid, also raids are more than one player there a group, so trying to shove raids down our throat solo is the sign of a retarded out of touch and off in lala land dev. Might have a chance if there stupid audio software didint start crackling, then it worse when your fighting a boss and boom., lag vile and death. Maybe if the ******* thought about making it balanced for all players not just to the mech top geared players. Just fed up with the whole thing, its as stupid as trying to make non pvp player do pvp just because of a stupid ******* event that I wont be progressing in any further seeing as how I'm not a mechanics player with top end gear, like a lot of us i'm just a casual gamer.:mad:
  7. I like the Solo play aspect (been playing since start of oceania server 2011), but there are a few things that really take the edge of enjoying the game. 1. at 65 I feel the devs think we must be mechanics players with totally maxed out everything and hard core gamers. I think this as solo I cant get past eternal champion match 5, and also gave up playing when I cant get past chapter 15 gemini captain final battle. I am not a mechanics player, I do not have totally maxed out gear and I am a casual player. Not to forget that I cant do raids, BIo's sound system causes me no end of issues and solo it creates lag during boss fights (might be why I keep getting butt fk'd). I have no sound issue in any other game I play (apart from witcher 4 which I deleted). Also like to point out I became that frustrated with gemini boss fight I quit game and havent gone back. Would be nice if the devs cater to all players, these story and event quests should be do able by players with the minimum set gear ie comm gear. And please dont shove raid style fights down our throats (if we wanted to do raid fights we'd go on raids). Another option would be to allow grouping (a friend) for the event achievement for those of us who are not hard core players cause I guarantee you I wont ever be doing the dailies or weekly's of it. 2. Would be nice to get back to alliance command to hand stuff in but due to story line you get locked out 3. I'm told PvP is dead and not worth playing (doesnt bother me I hate PvP) . Mind you for the devs to force feed us PvP as in light vs dark event is not only insulting it's only causing a negative reaction from non PvP players, in fact I refuse to do PvP, why should I be forced to sit in a que for days at a time (and be match free) for something even PvP players dont want to get involved in. So instead some will go sit in a corner and wait for the match to end, causing frustration for those PvP players who actually want to fight and so they too come away with a negative impression of swtor Pvp and wandering why they bother. Make the PvP aspects in events purely optional, counter it by adding the PvP content as extra for the acheivment meaning if you add a 5 point warzones and starfighter to a 100 point acheivement PvP players can use the PvP content to take the place of two other 5 point acheivments within it or a 10 point one. This eliminates the need for non PvP players to be pissed of having to do PvP so the whole acheivment if you did it all would be 110 points (but you only need 100) 4. I love the game, always mostly played 99.99% solo but the new expansion and companion changes annoyed me.. my smuggler actually managed to complete the romances with all the female companions (as did most of my other toons), even my female toons had completed the romances with female toons. (sorry im a guy and I dont like staring at guys so I tend to create female toons, so being a guy (even thought the toons female) I still prefer to romance a female companion. But thanks to the updates all thats lost. so light vs dark the romance aspect was wasted on me and I avoided it with the male companions like the plague (purely in protest to having lost female with female romances). 5. I loved that datacrons found by one toon was also registered with all your toons current and future. Having removed the meed to update mods, armor and enhancements for companions was also a very good idea and much appreciated. 6. Main upside for solo play to me was the removal of ninja looters in groups, also got fed up with going on ops and raids (when I did them) and walk away with nothing time and time again. You get to keep what you kill, though the timers could be a lot better, dont know how many times I lost access to gear due to someon looting during a fight and your involved healing that you dont have time to check the items out and you loose them from timer. Ther were times when getting dstracted from keep team alive to read item description ended up with a member (or two) dying. Maybe disallow looting until all members are out of combat . Sorry for length of rant...
  8. Thanks Mac, I cheated and used the link on another page all signed
  9. Speak for yourself, you go on about we dont speak for everyone (never said I have) then go on about what others actually think. Maybe they should come and say it themselves, either way dont go making statements about what others want after you've gone and said others arent speaking for everyone. Sheeesh!!! What do you expect, I didint even know about this move until a freind phoned and told me about it, wouldnt surprise me if only a minimal percentage know about it on any of the APAC servers. So here you are again trying to base peoples feelings on what, who may or may not have posted in the forums?. Are you a EA or Bio employee in disguise... (just asking), your comments are strange considering how you end them. On the one hand we dont speak for everyone, but you obviously do considering who you've alledgedly spoken to about it, then in comparing grav's forums (which is not a true indication of the player base itself) are more in the middle about it. And I am the first to admit (as ive said above) it wouldnt surprise me if a small percentage only knows about the move so none of the APAC forums can truly say they represent any set number of players, but I dont think they have (and im not going through 446 pages in this thread alone just to see). Now as the thread title says, concerns over the consolodation and wether you and your (alledged guildies/freinds) are happy for it to happin is not really the topic, the topic is to deal with those who have concerns over the move and I (if not we) are happy for you to be happy about going to a NA server., but if you dont mind, myself and some others (numbers to be determined) would like to continue to discuss the topic which is "APAC/Oceanic Server Concerns". But thank you for your comments and I (if not we) hope you are happy on your NA 250ms+ server..
  10. shoot he must have a hell of a computer, I could never get better than 280 ms and that was alone in the wilderness lol. In raids and hard core dungeons it averages between 360 - 14K depoending on what was happening and how many big flashy bangs and whooshes where going on. With eve it crapped out when you got more than about 10 ships fighting (i dont mean AI ones). I have to admit though my 280 was also due to wtfast that cut my latency about 30%.
  11. you do know eve runs a single server made up of a crap load of computers dont you? and they still have lag as well. you do know that latency in WoW IS AN ISSUE, I know as i played for several years and ended up giving up on raids due to the latency and constant dc'ng due to it. PvP was also out of the question for the latency issue so dont come into my house and tell me WoW and Eve dont have latency issues and swtor can get just as good. Swotr is great at 25ms, why the @#^$# would I want to go to 400+ just because they planned this from before the launch. Thats probably why they never really advertised, thats why they never said anything until the last minute, thats why they ignored what the players suggested and requested, thats why they never did a poll when you logged into the game or even sent an in game mail about it. THEY NEW BEFORE THE GAME WAS RELEASED IN APAC they were going to do this. Which is why there arguments about population is crap considering they had to merge NA servers and even that hasnt helped on some. Oh, I got an idea, why not close down a couple of the low population NA servers and transfer them all over to APAC, EAware cant complain considering there happy for us to go over there now arent they. Gee.. now thats a brilliant idea, if EA are happy for us to go to 400+ latency it would prove to be regional discrimination to not have equally deficient NA servers come to APAC instead.
  12. How do we know it's a failing server, I mean we only have there word for it and they already prooved there liars by closing the servers to start with. To me it may be as simple as they dont give a crap about us but they need more numbers to bolster the NA servers who's numbers may be dwindling. As far as I am concerned they sold the APAC game with APAC servers so they are required to maintain the servers even if it means head office subsidises them through global revenue. Greatest way to kill a company is to show the world they dont give a crap about commitment to the servers they sell the games with or to the people who paid money to play them on those servers. If they were serious they would refund all moneys spent on there misrepresentation when selling us the game. To be honest, merging the servers would be far more acceptable than shoving member into our butts and forcing us to suffer high latency gaming. If they think theres annything even close to fair about it then they might need to look for new jobs as there current expectations on how APAC players look at this is ludicrous to say the least and there obviously dillusional in the extreme. Kill APAC and kill any semblance of caring even remotely for your customer base in this region (or any). If I had my way I would ensure all bioware and EA ip's are banned from oceania all together. You want to screw us over then fine get screwed over yourselves.
  13. Actually, I agree with most of that. Originally i was dead against PvP server players moving to Dal a PvE server. But from how you explain it could be, I find it totally acceptable (except for more PvP areas, thats what warzones are for). More importantly, I spent money and supported Swtor on an APAC server, if it would have never been on an APAC server I would never have bought the game. However, it was so I did, meaning if they close the apac servers then they are (as far as I'm concerned) commiting fraud (obtaining money under false pretenses) so if they kill APAC then i want a full refund on all the money I spent as no other alternative incorporating EU or NA server moves will be acceptable and forcing us to quit the game and thus loose our investments would be criminal to say the least.
  14. All i know i purchased and spent money to play on an APAC server, not an EU or US one. If they kill APAC servers then I want all my money back, this game isnt worth playing at all if im going to get slugged with a 400+ ping, been there tried that dont work. And if they think this will make it better for them, then maybe they need to think about negative marketing impact, as in dont by any bioware/EA products as they do not support the asian pacific region as proven by there abandoning the APAC swtor servers. The fact that at a corporate level they can subsidise the APAC servers and thus maintain a visible actual presence in our region would go a long way to show an active involvement in the gaming community. Instead they show how much little we actually mean and are happy to scrape us off there boots as they leave. Well.. stuff em, if they cant supprot the gaming community by subsidising a server (and getting the tax breaks for it) then bioware and EA obviously do not need gamers world wide spending money on there current and up and coming products. I mean, if there happy to abandon us, then there happy to abandon all gamers world wide. Obviously theres not a real person amongst them..
  15. I see some problems with that (in keeping with the storyline aspect). Lets use mako as an example. So.. mako is the romance interest and she at cap affection and all quests complete meaning she and the players toon are married. Now you come along and ask to borrow his wife for an undisclosed period of time as your sidekick to off and do battle. Dont know about you but, if i was her husband I sure as hell wouldnt want her anywhere near danger with someone else even a legacy someone. She's either by my side or on my ship, end of story. Also lets not forget the companions technically have a mind of there own and may infact decide "screw you", "I'm not going anywhere with him/her".
  16. So your willing to spend the time needed for the 15th level player to sort out his quick bars, buy the skills needed, sort out his tree up to the new level, figure out what all the new abilities are and do. Not to mention it defeats the purpose of apprentice/mentor doesnt it. You build up an apprentice you dont just give them a ticket and say here you are, now your a master temporarily. Logically, it would ne easier to lower the 50th levels abilities to 15 temporarily, rather than raise the 15th to 50. I think you may need to think about this a bit more from all angles not just one.
  17. Seriously, there are way too many places you get stuck and having a 90 second timer to punish players because the programmers cant smooth the areas to stop this is ludicrous, not to mention the AI that determines your dead instead of moving you 1 meter onto a flat surface is retarded to say the least. HEEELLLLOOO!!!! It's not our fault we get stuck, so please make an effort to fix the terrain mapping so this stops happening. 7 years in wow and i got stuck maybe 3 times in all.. next patch that area was fixed. Not fixing this seems rather lazy more than anything else. Especially considering the number of quests, tasks you need to jump (like going for datacrons) at least you would think those areas would be clear, but no.. you spend ten minutes getting to a point then wham, your stuck. You use /stuck (knowing front and back are areas you can go to) but POW.. your dead and at the med centre so it takes you ten minutes just to fight through the mobs again. My Suggestion is for the devs to sort the terrain out to minimise wasting players time by getting stuck.
  18. enough said really. Would be nice to log into your character selection menu and have a letter icon on the toons that have mail. This would save time going through each and every toon to check the mail status. on another note, from the character selection menu (or there abouts) it would be nice if you could check to see what each toon had in there bank or backpack. This also would save time when trying to find out which of your 9 odd toons has that matt your looking for or to find out how many credits they have when you need to make a transfer. Just food for thought....
  19. What I would like to know, Do the PvP server have forced PvE areas as there are forced PvP areas on PvE Servers. Do the PvP server have Illum as purely PvE world akin to it being a PvP world on a PvE server. If not then Bio Ware stop stuffin up our playing environment with this PvP discrimination against PvE players on a PvE server. I am more than happy for the warzones to be apart of the PvE servers ( i dont ever have to go to them).. I mean where else can those not able to survive on PvP servers get to PvP on a PvE server (oh wait, in warzones). I am against having forced PvP zones on a PvE server, to me it mis represents the term PvE Server and as a subscriber it annoys me no end. Sorry but after 2 years of being ganked in eve the last thing i'm interested in is PK. An sorry but most of the looser PvP'ng outside of warzones are just Pk'rs nothing more. I see it in the chat day after day on illum PvP'rs complaining about being ganked by there own side or getting gang banged. Chat was full of it going on for hours and hours. Going on about not picking on such and such, stop ganging up on 1, why dont you attack the opposing faction like your supposed to and so forth. Then these same PvP complainers turn around and do the same thing to others, but seeing as how there not good enough to take on the PvP gankers, they settle for tricking PvE players to get flagged so they can turn around and gank them. A lot of animosity in chat all related to PvP issue and all uneccessary if bio would realise it's a PvE server so warzones for PvP is all thats needed. Unless of course there going out of there way to aggravate the PvE community that makes up the majority of the players on a PvE server. And illum gree event PvP area quest was a failure.. i was in there twice on different days and there was no PvP occuring, just a bunch of flagged players doing the quests, waiting in line waving to each other. Also if PvP was so popular why do people keep saying they've been waiting for hours to get into a warzone because no ones playing them. On top of that, I see here idiots who miss the point it's a PvE server and make comments thinking its a PvP one. Dead to rights guys, if your so critical of the PvE'rs then suck it up and go to a PvP server where you belong, dont come into our house (PvE server) and winge about the PvE content or the fact that the PvE players arent interested in open world PvP. Reaility is, that bio-ware incorporated it because those players not able to survive in a full PvP world needed somewhere safer for them to play so the PvE players got stuck with em. In the end though I agree with the original post, if it was immpossible to be flagged accidently then it wouldnt be so bad. I mean other mmo's are able to do it so why cant swtor (or is it a skills issue with the programmers).
  20. Seriously, your compaining about not enough pvp on a PVE server!!.. I think you need to be on a PVP server to get the pvp your complaining about is missing... Maybe you should have turned in the direction given for PvP and not taken the road to the PvE server.
  21. If merging means more pvp crap on a pve server then im against it period...
  22. As far as i'm concerned if you want pvp go to pvp server, on a pve server there shouldnt be an open world pvp area at all, stick to warzones. If pvp players dont like it, let them go to a pvp server and they can open world all they like. Forcing pve players to put up with pvp crap when they dont want to and force them to loose play content becasue of it is stupid. Either that or make sure that if someone is pve set they cant go pvp unless they physically have to approve it by an ok selection. Too many times ive gone pvp flagged becasue your fighting a npc mob and you accidently target and attack a pvp flagged player. For pve servers need "you are about to attack a pvp flagged player", "contiune.. (yes).. (hell no)" Or on pvp servers is illum a pve only world.... if not then why are pve players being discriminated against by forced pvp areas on pve servers.. making us go into pvp area just to get a hk part is a good example of forced into pvp and for a lot of pve players that constitues an aspect of the game there not interested in. in closing.. As far as im concerned a pve server should be just that.. out side of warzones there should be no pvp area at all. If players want pvp area outside of warzones let them go to a pvp server. I didint sign up for pvp, I have no interest in pvp so as far as my subscription is concerned I shouldnt have to worry about going into a region where i get flagged, or interacting with a flagged player and getting flagged. Not interested, dont want it and shouldnt have to even worry about it, as it stands BW fails.
