  1. Several ppl on two different servers all experienced slower movement speeds this morning. Is this a biproduct of server mergers that will now be permanent, or is it just a bug?
  2. Thank you for all your support, After doing some research I started seeing exploitation of pvp zones and events, especially the gree event is more common than I thought, some players have been banned already for zone camping, which hindering a player from playing game (zone camping) is a violation of swtor rules regardless of pvp or pve server. Thank again for all your support. May the force be with you all. Bioware did finally respond, and yes I will be switching to pve server in future. Ty again and have fun all.
  3. Yeah, thanks for instance idea, we (large group of us that were being camped, tried changing instances on several occasions over several days and it was same scenario, my group got fed up, disbanded and logged off and said screw it. I really loved this game, but now that I'm stuck in a scenario that I have to pay to get out of kinda sucks. I mean I got ganked on Hoth collecting tauntaun datas, fine, but the events are limited time and impossible to gain rep when you are purposefully prevented from doing so. It just got ridiculous, the fact that Bioware charges so much per character for server transfer is just insane when they refuse to even acknowledge a violation of their rules. Ty for your ideas.
  4. I have been on pvp servers in past and not this bad, also I did not choose this server, Bioware transferred me to this one when I stopped playing shortly after launch, now I have to pay a ridiculous amount of real money to purchase cartel coins to change my characters over, I can't afford to that and I shouldn't have to, as I said before I don't mind pvp and ganking, but zone camping is against Bioware's rules whether on pvp server or not, and they clearly did not even want to address the issue, it has reached a point where I don't feel I should have to pay to transfer to be able to participate in the game.
  5. Yes I was on a pvp server. I'm more of a casual player as I work alot, and have played pvp servers for fun in other games as well, pvp can be alot of fun. I expect some ganking and world pvp, however purposefully preventing ppl from gaining their gree rep, not just me but others as well who just gave up and logged off is ridiculous, this went on for several days at different times. People have things to do in rl besides sit and rez at medcenter for hours. I just didn't feel it was worth it to pay an insane amount of cartel coins which I would have to purchase to change to a new server so I could complete the event. I was a little surprised to not even get a response from Bioware but then again they probably would say to pony up Cartlel coins and change. I really appreciate the advice and opinions, if I come back to the game I will definitely switch to pve if only to be able to participate in events, etc.
  6. Thank you for the advice and understanding. Was very frustrating, gonna give swtor a break, and maybe change to pve server for next gree event. Ty all, reminder we have a lot of great ppl in here.
  7. I am just writing this to see if others are experiencing same issues. Now I'm sure a bunch of ppl will scream quit if you don't like it, well I already did, cancelled my subscription and moved on to other games for now. This type of behavior is why I left Wow. I had been leveling my character for months to prepare for Gree event, After several days of being camped to the point of not able to participate in event for hours on end by several groups of players that even said to me in chat, the more you try to do your dailies the more we will kill you. Because of this I have left a game that I really enjoy that unfortunately became an abusive WoW community over time. There are many nice players just a few immature school bully elites that can violate Bioware's policy of zone camping/restricting in preventing participation in events and get away with it, as Bioware refused to offer any solution with the issue. Anyway hope others don't have to leave a great game the same way I did.
  8. Not sure why all ppl are in this situation, but as for me: I have family living all over the country and cannot interact with them very often due to our excessive work schedules. We all enjoy gaming and do like to game together when we can, (hence, the mmo). We have also found many great ppl just in the gaming community, however those of who work alot, etc. cannot always commit to a time to raid, or even run flashpoints, so it's nice to get home and be able to queue up and run some raids/flashpoints. Then when time permits we can run with friends, guilds, families. However not having the choice, makes it impossible to enjoy all of the games content, so that is why they are implementing a lfg feature as there should be, to allow all players to enjoy all content. Everyone is different and coming from many different situations, however we all want to have fun and play a great game.
  9. they are already implementing a lfg system as they should. If you don't want to queue for a flashpoint then don't group up with friends/guilds. For those of us who work, have families, etc and want to play the game and enjoy, waiting for hours to get a group is not fun and never will be, and no lfg does not destroy a gaming community, this is 2012 and not having options available is just outdated and unnecessary. I think bioware can accomplish a good lfg system with no problems as they have already stated they are working on so all paying subscribers can have the opportunity to enjoy the entire game's content and not just some of it. You can queue for pvp already so.... If ppl are just looking for a social network, that is what facebook is for. This is a game to be played and shared and how ppl accomplish that should have options depending on the players choice.
  10. In an earlier response to bioware working on a flashpoint queue system, I am just wondering if that is planned to be implemented in patch 1.2. Would just like to know so can cancel acct. if not, as cannot run flashpoints at all due to work schedule, can only pvp and quest at this time. Any info would be appreciated. TY

    Loving Swtor PvP

I for one enjoy pvp, the fact that can fight different teams regardless of faction, takes away that hatred of opposite factions that developed in games like wow. Lots of fun and looking forward to new material coming out. Haven't leveled up enough to see what the pvp gear grind is like yet.
  12. I don't know why some ppl are so "violently" opposed to a dungeon finder, ppl say you should get to know ppl on your server and group for social community, isn't that what facebook is for? I am here to play a game and due to a busy work schedule have not even been able to experience flashpoints,as I've spent way too much time sitting in IF trying to get into a group it isn't even worth it. So I don't get to enjoy current content, don't get to have opportunity to get gear all because I work alot supporting a family and ppl are afraid dungeon finder will ruin the "facebook" quality of the game. Come on ppl this is supposed to be a gaming community where we all take a break from the busy hustle of rl and get together to enjoy some swtor! A dungeon finder will make it accessible to everyone. Those who want to run with guilds/friends can, but nobody is forcing you to use a dungeon finder. Those of us who are more casual players can queue up and enjoy the flashpoints. We have queue system for pvp, does it "ruin" the game, I think not. Would be nice to work together to have a solution for all to enjoy. As far as re-roll a character that needs to be used, come on that is ridiculous, you should be able to play what you enjoy. This is supposed to be fun, not stressful, anger, and trolling, that's why I left wow. Work together and all ppl will have a good time. As it stands, I will prob not be playing game for long, although I think it's a great game, if can't have opportunity to play content.
  13. Yes I agree we need a flashpoint finder. Due to a busy work schedule I do not even get to experience flashpoints at all. I do not have hours to waste trying to get into a group. Wow's dungeon finder worked great, met some really nice ppl and was easy if not in guild or groups to be able to enjoy games content. Just log on and queue. We have a queue system for pvp no reason not to have one for flashpoints. I hope it is on the top of the list to implement, as of now I don't see the game holding much interest if all I can do is quest and pvp. At least provide the option for us, then if ppl still want to group with friends/guilds they can as well. Options are always good. As far as all the ppl who say it will ruin the community, a simple tool to allow players to enjoy game will not ruin community, instead of ppl being so opposed to changes for the better, would be nice to implement things that make the game function well for everyone, not just catered to certain ppl. Saying this isn't wow, or go find another game, really doesn't help to build a good gaming community for all to enjoy, and imo that is what can ruin the community not a dungeon finder.
