  1. Guys, please with the SPOILERS, mkay?
  2. Thanks for the spoiler. In the future, please mark them as such.
  3. Wait, so male Inquisitors only have one romanceable companion and only if you're attuned to the light side of the force? Does that seem wrong to anyone else or is it just me? What are there, maybe half a dozen light-sided inquisitors? Given the way the game seems to push you towards the dark side as an Inquisitor I'm surprised dark-siders don't have a single romance option. Strange...
  4. Whatever happened to walking away with grace and dignity? OMG if I read another /nerdragequit today I'm going to gouge my eyes out with a melon baller.
  5. If they talked about it then it wouldn't be much of a surprise, would it? The first rule of surprise content is you do not talk about surprise content.
  6. Doesn't need to be optional for me. But there needs to be a commitment to addressing bugs/exploits on the fly via daily updates as needed. Otherwise bring it on.
  7. Were PvP? Is that like PvE that turns into PvP during the full moon?
  8. This. **** takes time. "I want X!" you scream. So, three months of dev later, you get X. "But now I want Y!!!"
  9. As a new Sorcerer I fell in love with Force Lightning and went with lightning spec... until I discovered that the buffs to Force Lightning damage were in the Madness spec. Didn't make sense to me but I re-specc'd anyway into Madness and I'm killing things just fine at level 16. Still early, I know, but no complaints. Grunts: FL > Shock > loot Silvers: FL > CD (LS if CD on cooldown) > FL > loot Simple. (So far.) Dromund Kaas has been no challenge at all, including soloing the heroic missions once I was a few levels higher that the mission itself.
  10. Ranged (Sorcerer) with option to heal or Melee (Assassin) with option to tank is your choice. Go with what you think is more your playstyle. I went Sorcerer because I find force lightning to be so much fun that it should be illegal, but that's me.
  11. Wait, that's not the flush handle! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.............
  12. Unifying with the chestpiece has been a great improvement on my enjoyment of the game. I'd love for this option and the hide headgear option to be available for my companions as well, but I'm not complaining at all. This was a great add.
  13. Ahhhh, but see, that's my keybind for stealth.
  14. I've only started playing a marauder and have risen to level 18 w/carnage spec. Vette's my only companion so I use her exclusively. My first impression is that I'm a lot more squishy than I expected. After your average trash group of four normal mobs (or a normal or two with a silver) I find I have to channel rage after every group because I'm at half or even less health. Maybe it's because I just finished leveling a tanky Vanguard to 50 but that seems awfully squishy. Also, I read on this forum that Anni spec is best for PvE but also that Anni spec DPS ramps up. I think there should be a distinction made between PvE endgame and PvE solo questing. Most of the latter are small groups of trash mobs and being as squishy as I am I would think a spec that has damage ramp up is sub-optimal. These fights last mere seconds and a ramp up for DPS would only highlight the aforementioned squishiness. Or am I doing it wrong? I admit, I'm experienced just not expert. My gear is on par with my level so it's not gear.
  15. In PvE I use it as an opener against grouped mobs. By the time it's off cooldown again I've long since finished them. When progressing through an instanced area full of grouped mobs the cooldown only allows me to use it against every other group. Versus single elites and bosses I might use it to open but there's better rotations against single mobs.
  16. Okay, well, looks like I need to adjust my expectations and plan accordingly. Thanks for the insight, guys.
  17. Planet comms do help, I agree. But between my companion and I we have five orange items and comms don't come close to supporting all of them.
  18. I'm on a high-pop server (The Harbinger) and it never ceases to amaze me how few item mods are available to purchase on the GTN. I like to go with profiteering skills and then just buy what I need to upgrade my orange gear while leveling with credits and commendations, but it's become impossible to do as there just aren't enough mods available on the GTN to buy. (And really... ten thousand credits for a blue level 3 mod? Seriously?) I'm ending up using green drops in place of orange pieces because I can't mod them well enough. Unfortunately I'm going to have to start a cybertech alt just to make mods for my alts, but I feel I shouldn't have to. Get crafting, guys! *thumbs up*
  19. I just reached 1m credits yesterday at level 40. I have three gathering skills: scavenging, slicing, and bioanalysis. While questing I grab every node I see and then dump my mats on the GTM when my bag is full. The GTM shows the price/unit for all stacks so I just look at all of them and undercut or pick a good price point and make serious coin. I also send my comps out on missions whenever I can. I vendor green loot that won't sell, i.e. the stats don't make sense for the item, like willpower on heavy armor or aim on light armor - who's going to buy that? I GTN the green items that do make sense, i.e. aim on heavy armor, cunning on medium armor, etc. For items I just go with the suggested sell price unless it's a purple or orange, and then I'll check the market first. I have all my bag rows open, my level 40 speeder, every purchasable ship upgrade, and the best item mods for my level on all of my orange gear, and I still have 1m credits at level 40.
  20. So I'm soloing green heroic quests on Tatooine, on my way back to the quest giver from having completed a mission, and I run into a group of four dealing with a large number of Sand Peeps. Two of them drop as I approach leaving just a Guardian and a Sage. The Guardian is getting gang ***** as everything is now aggroed on him and the Sage can't heal fast enough. Sure enough the Jedi drops. I mortar volley and then storm in. Stockstrike one mob's face, sticky grenade one guy, taser shot another, reposition myself and then harpoon a distant shooter to group them all up for explosive rounds and ion pulses. I drop maybe five or six strong and elite Sand Peeps in maybe twenty seconds. I /salute the Sage and speeder off. Over general chat I see "OMG <Me> you !@#$% rock! Thank you!" Now mind you, I out-leveled the Sand Peeps by two or three levels, but still. I love being a !@#$% Vanguard. *thumbs up*
  21. I switched from clicking to keyboard about a year ago but I still have trouble strafing and backing up during combat as there is no mouse control for either. How do you elitist keyboard users strafe/back up while using abilities?
  22. This. General chat is so banal it makes my teeth hurt.
  23. Fact: 90% of quoted statistics are made up on the spot.
