  1. Nothing is worst than waiting for ages for a group!

Seriously the game turns me off when i log in and can't get a group where cross server warezone/flash points is a MUST!!! WOW did it and increase their subscribers by 3 million! Nothing worst than trying to play a game when u can't run anything!

Seriously, i don't think i would get off this game if warzones & flashpoints poped all the time!

  2. No one would complain that the content for leveling is the best part of this game but the problem is that you level to fast compare to any other MMO.

I remember playing WOW it took 2-3 months to hit 50, Aion, UO about the same but Old republic i can do it in 2-3 weeks.

Everyone complains that there isn't much to do at 50 where you should increase the XP for leveling. I would enjoy exploring each planet allot more and doing more quests to level, instances, dailies, but i find i'm only doing 1/4 to 1/3 of the quest per planet and missing out on allot of good content u guys have developed cause i'm leveling 2 fast!

I also find by the time i've made gear, i've already level so it's really a waste of time making gear with your comps.

And with Legacy, it's way to fast to level now, i can hit 50 within a week! And what do we do when we hit 50, most of my friends are bored with the game and we stop playing it!

We need a challenge, yes people like things to be easy but we want to feel like we accomplish something that was very hard. Hitting 50 in 2-3 months, and exploring the whole game during this process, u feel like u accomplished something!

my 2 cents! keep up the good work otherwise!

  3. u still to start doing what wOW does when ppl leaving WZ, ban them for 15 mins for leaving so early!

i'm stick of joining WZ when ppl are leaving due to ppl giving up so easy!

blizzard do it for a reason where OR should learn from blizzard and do the same!

  4. Hi,

I have 2 suggestions to improve SWTOR.

    1. Sound in Windows background!

WOW has this option, I run 3 monitors where sometimes i click out onto facebook or another onto MS outlook to check email. When i click outside SWTOR, there is no sound where WOW has an option called 'sound in background' where you can still hear the sound from WOW when you click outside the game! I usually jump onto FB while waiting for a party to build or WZ to pop! Sometimes it takes 2 long i just log out of SWTOR cause i can't be bothered waiting compare to WOW, i open my screen to log back into WOW and go into BG!

    2. hotkey to move spells around.

I don't know about you guys but going into 'preferences/user interface & unticking and ticking 'lock quickslots' is the biggest pain in the *** when you want to move your spells around. Most MMORPGs have a hotkey where you can press ctrl/shift/alt for example than the right mouse button to move the spell instead of going into preferences/user interface, etc...

And plus when my mate was in WZ the other day and forget to tick 'lock quickslots' and picked up his spell by accident on his side bar while in WZ, the next second, the mouse was travelling 10000 km/h at the wall. I haven't done this myself but it does happen where u forget to tick the box again after unticking it nearly every second day to move your spells around! It happens alot while you level, maybe not at 50 but all the time while leveling to 50!

  5. It's an issue where Blizzard understood this where I don't believe Bioware has address very well! For example in AB, we all know which way to start heading if we lose Farm or LM. The terrian is difffent in every area.

For serious PVPers like myself and many others, this is an issue where i'm not the only person with this problem from this thread listed above!

  6. It just comes down to error proofing. If everyone uses grass or mid, the only way you can screw up that call out is if you're blind. People will always make bad call outs using left or right and others will take longer figuring out east and west by looking at the map. I prefer grass and snow and like I said before, I know the east/west call outs too, but to make things simple, to me personally, grass and snow is a definite can't get it wrong call out. It will take new pvpers a little time playing, but honestly after about 10 wzs on that map if you can't differentiate grass from snow you're not paying enough attention to the map.

I make sure that anytime I'm doing something pvp wise that I learn maps, maybe a force of habit from playing FPSs but once you're acclimated to the map those call outs should be second nature.

FACT: Most people don't know their left/right, more or less their west/east!

This is where Blizzard did well, all BG maps that i think about it (AB, WSG, EOTS, it looks different and you know where you are! I find "Civil War" can look the same in areas! Lets compare it to Gilnes, it's set in a circle where you know which way to go. If someone yells LH or mines, you know which way without thinking!

They need to have a snow section and have a full grass section or change the layout of the map! I'm finding this to be a fault with all maps in Old Republic now that i think about it! WZ is a fast pace game, u don't want to think fo a split second where you are in WZ than which direction to go next.

Huttbal: It can take a second or two if you just chase a couple of people around and someone throws you the ball. u than spin the screen around and see which way is purple and yellow but the thing is u might be a rotworms or frogdogs after playing so many games which u have to take note!

  7. Maybe I'm the 1% but I know where they're calling out regardless, I can get my orientation for the map no matter where I'm at, it's not difficult, if you're in mid and look out 1 side it looks like your spawn, look directly behind you it's the enemy spawn...from there you "should" be able to figure out where you need to go. If you don't have a grasp of the map by now having multiple characters in both factions you're doing it wrong. To me grass and snow is the most consistent call out. Half the people will call out right based on where they're looking from, the other half will call it out from the direction they spawned and just as many will get it wrong trying to use it in relation to where they're looking.

It comes down to you having situational awareness. If you can't do that, don't complain about call outs, learn the map better and be glad someone called out at all.

A very good point but sometimes u are in an area running around as a melee (in your face combat), someone yells out grass or snow and u have to think were u are for a second. I always look at the mini map arrow and see which way i'm facing and turn right around in a split second.

My other point is for all the noobs out there that don't know what grass & snow is yet!

I don't want to think where I am for a second when you chase someone for a while and u end up running around in a corner that looks like grass or snow. Someone yells out "left/right or west/east" I start running in that directions on the mini map, I dont want to have a second to think... "where am I and which way do i go now." I don't want to lose that split second where I spin my jedi/sith in the right direction and head in that way in 1/4 of a second! A perfect example would be if your in mid, no matter which way you look or if your under mid, it looks the same!

I guess I just play different! It's very interesting to know how everyone plays!

  8. With respect to TOR it could easily be misinterpreted as there is no north marker on the Alderaan map (that I can remember, might be wrong) :D. Generally, the natural way of regarding East / West with no reference point is East = Left, West = Right, however you can't guarantee that some people may look on it differently.

However, Right = Right and Left = Left no matter what.

Any easy fix would be to have a north on the map like in WOW BGs, u never have this issue where it just ***** me when i get the Alderaan map these days! i might play late at night and i'm 2 tried to even think which way is grass & snow where i'm sure there is more than a couple ppl out there that understand where i'm coming from!

  9. If it takes you 5 to 10 seconds to figure out what that means and you've played civil war as much as you say you have you're just slow or have no sense of direction. With reaction time like that I'm surprised you even like to pvp.

you noob aZShiftyZa... it's like saying go right and u have to go left when u switch from imps to republic! next u want to jump over to imps again, than left means right... have u heard of muscle memory????

lift your right hand.... i bet u left your right hand straight away... now for the next day, every couple hours tell yourself to lift your right hand but lift your left instead.... how long did it take u to lift your left instead of right, was it more than a split second which is what u need in pvp?!?!?

  10. For all the people that don't play both imps/republic, when u call grass/snow it means we have to stop and think for a good 5-10 seconds (checking our map) on which side to backup!

It's time for everyone to learn their east/west or keep it simple right/left!

Most of us are sticking to 1 side to lvl up to 50 but sooner or later we will change from imps to republic or the other way around and i can tell you, checking your map and thinking which side is snow/grass takes a good 5-10 seconds and half the experience playing playing this game will just leave the map and it will just be the noobs left!

Trust me, i do my daily WZ on both imps/republic and its so annoying cause pvp is all about the split second! Calling snow/grass will cost a good 5-10 seconds to ppl that play both sides and cause they play both sides they are more experienced!

Can we learn our left & right or I'm I just asking for 2 much cause for some stupid reason i do many ppl in reality unable to tell the difference and it's really not that hard or is it???

  11. of course they will, the game has only been out for 3 months!

it's like wow, u have wait until the season of arena is over which is 6 months before new pvp gear will come out! they do this so u can also play alts and gear them up!

for mains u stop playing until new patch day!
